Sit Means Sit Dog Training Southern Utah - Max the Recovering Bucking Bronco

Sit Means Sit Dog Training Southern Utah

Sit Means Sit Southern Utah has been a game changer for our family! The Doodle no longer rules our…read morehome . Brandon was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind as he worked with my Goldendoodle Max. I was amazed at how well Max behaved after the first day! Max has continued to improve with listening to commands even with distractions (people, dogs, cars). Before this program I was stressed to take Max, or the bucking bronco, outside the home. It was embarrassing as he wouldn't listen to me, pulled on his leash, barked, jumped on visitors and was too friendly/excited around other dogs. I had worked with him since he was a puppy...he knew his basic commands...he just wouldn't listen. It was really frustrating! I love our Max but we needed help! Max is now a superstar Doodle! I take him everywhere without any stress or anxiety! Brandon has equipped me with knowledge, confidence, and tools to help Max be the best dog! The coolest part is Max is happier and more confident as with me, he is equipped with awesome skills and understands what I am communicating to him. His focus is on me and not the squirrels/distractions. Thanks Brandon!!!! If you are dealing with a bucking bronco fur baby, don't wait. Do it, make the call!!!! I wish I would have signed up months ago...Oh well...life is superb with my Doodle Max.

My two year old lab, Brody, is a sweetheart but if he wanted something, he was determined to do…read moreanything to get it. He would eat everything in sight (especially socks!) Brody loves people and other dogs, so he would get so excited when they were around that it was hard to control him. I always assumed his behavior was because he was young but I knew something had to change when he got kicked out of doggy daycare for taking an employees gardening glove and swallowing it. That's when I found Sit Means Sit. It was very easy to get information on the website. I just typed in my name and phone number and a little summary about Brody and Brandon, the trainer, called me the next day. We spoke about all the different packages they offered, prices, and what the training includes. He helped us pick the training program that would help Brody the most so we signed right up. I scheduled our first training session pretty quickly (I think I was able to get in about a week after signing up). Brandon is the nicest, most knowledgeable dog trainer I've ever met. Brody was always so excited to see him! We started our first lesson and not even 20 minutes in, my crazy 90 pound lab was no longer pulling on the leash. The next session, we took him to more public places, like Home Depot and Petco. This is where I was most amazed. Brandon taught Brody to sit in one of the aisles alone and wait for us to call him to move. We walked away from him, many people/pets passed right by Brody, and Brody did exactly what he was supposed too. It was such a big difference from the wild Brody that would have pulled me all over the store, jumping on people and trying to wrestle with all the other dogs there. What's especially nice about the training sessions is the involvement you will have in the training too. Brandon shows you exactly what you need to do/practice with to keep up the new skills. We met a total of three times for training and Brody has been a great dog since. Another awesome thing about training is that depending on the package you get, you and your dog can do free group lessons! Brody is also so good off his leash. I used to worry about taking Brody to open parks to play ball off the leash but now that's our favorite thing to do together! If your dog needs training, Brandon (and anyone else) at Sit Means Sit is perfect for it! I can't wait for group lessons to start! Thanks again Brandon and the Sit Means Sit team!

Although we need more training then they do, David works patiently with us too. We went for our dogs graduation and learned how to continue their good behavior. Cathy had them groomed, bathed and looking good. I recommend them both highly. Thanks so much for everything David and Kathy Meri C.

The lessons he provided right off the bat were appreciated and implemented. Seeing how well she responded we wanted to immediately start her in his 3 week course as AKKs are known for darting and not listening. However, Dave said "Let your puppy be a puppy and contact us in a couple more months." I really appreciate him saying that. We continued training her at home while enjoying her puppy bonding time and 2 1/2 months later dropped her off. Three weeks without her was hard but we did it! When we picked her up we found the same happy pup but with added obedience. She even retained the training we taught her at home (we have a dog door bell system to signal outside for potty). Her auto-sit while walking and sit+stay / down+stay on leash are quite impressive and you can tell how proud she is when performing these commands as well as sitting at the door waiting to be invited in/out. In the back yard she's perfect with 'heel' but in the real world she's still a bit excited. That's expected with her breed and we will continue to train daily with the skills Dave taught us. Loyal K-9 is highly recommended for obedience training. While it was hard not to have her for three weeks it really has paid off. Thanks Dave and Cathy!

My pup was not her self, I had came home from school, there was throw up all over my home and poop…read moreeverywhere. She was hiding in a corner very sad and down. I had called them and asked them if I should bring in my puppy as I came home and she was not acting like herself. ( as you can tell when a dog isn't themselves) so I was very worried about her. I had did some research before I had went in and all these signs had led me to believe she had parvo. I took her in and she was walking fine.. she was a very happy dog ( she was a puppy so of course she was trying to be excited cause there was a bunch of new people around she wanted to play with ) But she still wasn't herself and I had told the veterinarian I wanted to get her tested for parvo and any other tests needed to get done. He had told me that it wasn't needed as she isn't showing any signs of it and she probably just had a " tummy ache " ( she was or else when I had looked up everything it wouldn't have popped up.) later that night we had to rush her to the emergency vet. And " SURPRISINGLY " she had PARVO! I had called the this place and let them know and they just brushed it off. I spent three hundred dollars here for absolutely nothing and am still to this day beyond disappointed and sad how MONEY hungry these people are. I lost my best friend due to them not listening . The emergency vet had also told me if they tested her when I brought her in, there was a bigger chance she would've stayed alive cause we caught it in time. Just be careful who you go to and actually watch who cares about your animal's and your concerns. Because I lost my best friend due to these people not listening to me or how my dog was acting. And after reading many other reviews of this place and seeing how many people they failed it genuinely makes me sick and beyond sad that they have failed so many people . It's sick and twisted . This place needs to get shut down.
