The first groom was good but you get just anybody. The second groom was TERRIBLE. They shaved one line down my Westies back. In one week he didn't look like he was groomed. And it wasn't cheap. I will never go back. Sorry this was at Consumer Square. read more

Just went down at 10:50am to the Somers Point, NJ location on October 2nd to get my dog's nails down. Nails are always a walk in and I've never have had an issue. 3 Employee's in the Salon and one of them asks me my dog's weight. I tell them (mid-size dog) and then another Employee tells me I'll have to come back between 2pm & 7pm. This is the first time that I've ever been asked my dog's weight and this the first ever that I've been told to come back. I've been taking my dog to this location for around 7 years and when I go my dog's nails get down when I'm there. The 3 Employee's looked lost so maybe it was better that they didn't do my dog's nails. I will be looking for another place now to get my dog's nails down and I'll never recommend PetSmart to anyone going forward based on this today. read more

Excellent experience!!! My dog looked great. I had a complete service done on my Pomeranian and she looked fantastic. Since it was my first visit to Doggie Style Pets I paid extra to be able to watch my dog during her grooming experience. The love for my pet was felt right away. She had surgery years ago on her back leg and they really took there time during the grooming process around her old injury (which I really appreciated). They talked to my dog and she was wagging her tail like she was enjoying the attention. read more

Becki is the most genuine Groomer around! She is amazing and quick! Upon arrival, Becki and her colleague greeted me with a smile! Welcoming my cat and I. The place is clean and organized. Becki explained in detail the process of what she was going to do. Her communication is clear and understanding. She verified all my information and treated my cat like a princess. I watched a little bit how she handled her. She was gentle, quick and looked like it was calming. Becki called me immediately when she was done and explained the charges. I'm quite satisfied and the experience superseded my expectations. We will be coming back! read more

Poor experience. Buyer be sure to check your per for complete and acceptable service before paying. I took my dog in for a bath and grooming services and did not receive expected results. The groomer left matting on the whole underbelly, did not trim bottom of the feet leaving long hair between the pads, and left her partly damp from the bath. This was from the supposedly "expert lead groomer" they assigned. I was very disappointed in the outcome and will not be back. read more

Do not bring your pet to this PetSmart to be groomed. The groomers were observed yanking a dog that was scared and pushing him with their foot across the floor. Then yanking the dog by the leash off his feet. He was hanging by his neck. When the manager was made aware that his groomers mistreated an animal like this he just said, "It's nothing to worry about. It's been taken care of." read more

Do not go to this PetSmart! A friend and I stopped by to pick up some dog food..as we were standing in line to pay we heard a dog yelping and whining so naturally we turned to see what was going on. At first they were just buzzing his/her hair by the neck thing, so maybe he was uncomfortable, but i walked over to watch for a bit(there are windows all over the grooming room) all of the groomers seemed to notice me standing there and there were no more yelps. we paid and as we were walking out we stopped and watched what was happening. THE GROOMER LIFTED THE POOR PUP UP BY THE LEASH! his/her back legs were barely touching the ground! I walked away because i didn't want to see anything else, but my friend stayed and watched as the one girl pulled the leash up and the other aggressively pushed the dog with her foot to get the pup to go into the next room! no she did not kick the pup but she very well could have just picked it up and carried him/her in! We continued to sit outside and wait for the owners to come by and make her aware. She went back in and the manager couldn't have cared less!!! We can't save every pet but we saved one today! read more

BRAND NEW Petsmart opened in Somers Point's Acme shopping center today. It is located in the storefront that was previously Fashion Bug. It's clean, well organized, but a bit dark. There are no front windows on the building anymore. It's significantly smaller than what locals will likely be used to from Mays Landing's Petsmart, but for the convenience, I'll take it. There's still a good selection of all the necessities - food, toys, cleanliness products, etc. They included a grooming area, the kitty adoption area, and a training area, as well as the fish wall and some small critters. The training calendar is already chock full of classes and the grooming center was up and running today with customers. Speaking of the grooming center, I went in this morning and inquired about service for dogs who're difficult with nail cutting. I was told it was no problem. I went back tonight with my dog and had his nails cut by Kristen, who came back on the clock just to do it for me. SHE WAS WONDERFUL. I cannot stress this enough, she was absolutely excellent. My dog is crazy about his nails and she was knowledgeable, calm, friendly, and reassuring. He's got nice, shorter nails now and we're set to go back for further trimmings! GO SEE HER! The manager was also on hand, welcoming visitors, and while I didn't catch his name he was helpful and welcoming. Great addition to Somers Point's shopping center. read more

Hello everyone. I thought I would give you my review about Pet smart. I took my dog Gizmo for the first time to Pet Smart. I got him Groomed. One of the best choices I made. He was treated by the wonderful groomers and he was happy being there. I left and retired later that day to pick him up. He was clean happy and looked amazing. They did a fabulous job. He was wearing a scarf that read "I'm handsome ". Gizmo looked super handsome. This is Gizmo's new place ! read more

The staff here was great. Rebecca and Katie took care of my super anxious Pomeranian. They gave me an estimated time and he was finished right on schedule. I came a little early to shop around before getting him, and they handled him really well. I know how dramatic he can be, and the staff there didn't mind. I'm very happy with his cut, will be coming back again. read more

All I can say is love and compassion that we felt today was unsurpassed. We recently rescued golden retriever who is 10 months old and probably never had a bath. He came from a flea infested drug ridden house with way too many animals. I made an appointment at the local Petsmart and wrote in the note that he was fully invested they welcomed him and through him right in the bath right away. They called to inform us that he had more fleas than they had ever seen in their entire career. They proceeded to shampoo him twice grind on his nails do his teeth. They also kept him calm and loved on him as being that he was a rescue he needed some support. I feel they went over and above the call of duty and you can truly tell their love of animals. They sent him home with three new toys and treats that the staff chipped in to buy for him. They made Murphy a customer for life read more

Very nice, helpful staff! Grooming Salon is really good. Jennifer, the grooming salon manager, always cut our poodle at the Mays Landing Store and continues to do so here. We're always pleased with her cuts. Smaller store than the Mays Landing one but a really nice experience! read more

Have been taking my dogs to the PetSmart groomers for over five years and today when I went to pick them up two customers were waiting for me in the parking lot to tell me that through the window they saw the groomers pulling my dog up to the table by his collar without his body being supported and kicking him with her foot to get him to move. They said the abuse was so bad that they felt the responsibility to wait at PetSmart for twenty minutes until we came to pick them up to tell us what happened. I will never go back to PetSmart and do not trust them with any animals. read more

bought a Savannah monitor from a diff store went to somers point petsmart and asked one of there associates for help on using the correct bedding..he looked confused and told me to hold on and got there "Reptile Expert" in which she stated she just finished training and did not know she then pointed to there care sheets None of which was for anything like what is for monitor lizards so i wasted 35min to get not a single answer or even a guess i will not be doing any of my shopping there ..... How ever i found a awsome little pet shop like 6 doors down little mom and pop shop with a nice selection of fish and reptiles and all i can say is experience means everything i will be shopping there very pleased with there knowledge. read more
