Our dog Chopper, a 3 year old Rotty/Chow Chow/Chihuahua mix rescue had an unknown, but clearly rough/traumatic life before we adopted him at 8 months. He is loving and well behaved with the core (4) family in the home; however, he slowly showed anxiety and reactiveness to strangers and vehicles. We had biting incidents and at a point that we didn't know what else to do - so, my husband invested in Chopper and Rob. After (6) weeks - our reunion with Chopper went so well. You could tell he remembered and missed us (we all went to pick him up). We spent ample time with Rob learning basic training behaviors he worked on with Chopper and we were happy to bring him home. Rob did a great job with positive reinforcement with Chopper - Chopper was previously trained with a more negative approach (shock collar - incessantly, for minor infractions) so we as his owners were trained to correct the negative more than reward the positive. Rob's approach has allowed us and Chopper to experience a much more relaxed and positive environment post his initial 6 weeks. Chopper walks SO MUCH better, and we are able to have guests over with him crated and not barking incessantly. He is so much more responsive to our commands and more containable in those situations that he does get protective (i.e. strangers at the door). We used to take a very long time to get him crated, constantly shocking him higher and higher.....but now he gets minor corrections for a bark and he listens after only a couple "crate" commands. Good Boy Chopper!! I'm personally so thrilled with the difference. Learning the techniques from Rob allows me to be a better dog mom to Chopper. It's going to be continued work, he's not a "new" dog - he's still Chopper, but he's learning and we're learning and we are all much happier with the results. When Rob came to our home to visit and do an in-home training, it went exceptionally well. And Chopper remembered him and loved him up. HD Dog Training changed our lives!!! We got Moody as a rescue pup when he was 2 years old. For the last 4 years, he has demonstrated severe separation anxiety to the extent that we could hardly leave the house without him trying to block the door or nip at us. Finding sitters who were willing to watch Moody entailed making sure the sitter was comfortable to never leave Moody by himself for their own safety. When we found Rob, we had all but given up hope that Moody (now 6 years old) could change. Moody was originally signed up for the 4-week board and train program and on week 3 it became clear to Rob that Moody would need an additional 2 weeks. Rob kept Moody for 2 extra weeks--free of charge--to ensure that Moody would be sufficiently trained. Moody came back to us completely transformed! He responds dutifully to commands like "heel," "come," "touch," "sit," and a number of others! Most importantly, he now responds every time when we say "CRATE!!!" This has absolutely changed our lives and has made our relationship with Moody a much closer and more regulated one because there is so much more trust and less conflict between us now. We will be forever grateful to HD Dog Training for returning Moody to us as a happier, more regulated dog. When we went to pick Moody up, Rob made sure we were well-trained on how to continue Moody's training at home and we are looking forward to 4 follow-up sessions to continue to shape our training skills. We were hopeless by the time we brought our rescue dog, Chopper, to Rob and HD Dog Training. Chopper is a sweet dog that had a rough early life in and out of foster homes. We took him in an he quickly became part of the family. However, the more comfortable he grew with us the greater the fear he had around other humans. His fear reactivity aggression escalated over two years to a point where he was impossible to take to the vet and his boarder politely recommended that we look for another boarding facility. We tried another "off leash" training facility but that too failed due to the trainer underestimating the complexity of Chopper's issues. In my search for another, more serious training program, I was denied at 6 facilities due to Chopper's bite risk despite each facility claiming they dealt with aggressive dogs. Luckily Google pointed me to Rob and HD Dog Training. The slogan on his website "Any Breed. Any Size. Any Temperament." proved to be true when I explained Chopper's issues to Rob during our initial Zoom consult. Rob's eye's lit up with excitement at the opportunity to work with a troubled pup. Two weeks later we arrived with Chopper for a 6 week board and train. While Chopper still has a long road to recovery ahead, he came home a changed dog. He loves training and happily trots by our side on walks. He seems happy when he does the right thing and is less likely to ignore us when he's hyper focused on a distraction. My dog is very aggressive towards people, and we have failed to work with a different training group in the past, so I was worried but hopeful to work with another trainer. As it turns out, Rob and HD Dog Training was an excellent choice. My dog, Iggy, used to bark and lunge at people when we walked by them in the street, and now we can pass right next to people and he stays quiet and in heel. We had a lot of fun training Iggy, and Iggy had fun too. Iggy made a lot of progress and I learned a lot of strategies in how to train him so that after our 8 sessions were over, I could continue training him myself. It was hard to trust new people around my dog (and harder to trust my dog around new people) because he bites and lunges. Rob handled it extremely well and we got to a place where Iggy was completely comfortable with Rob quite quickly. Iggy is now practicing getting used to more new people, and this training has changed his life. I will continue to use Rob's group training services and boarding services moving forward. HD Dog Training has also built a community around training so you always have support, and there is always someone to answer your questions quickly - usually Rob or Tineisha! The decision to work with HD for the 8-week session was the absolute best decision my wife and I have made in the process of raising our puppy. We worked directly with Rob at our home, who goes so much further than just obedience, commands, potty training help, etc. While he has taught our pup masterfully in those areas, he also treats our pup with the same amount of love and care as if our pup was his own. All of Rob's actions throughout the training process indicate that he cares deeply about our pup's physical and emotional well-being, which has played a huge roll and helping our pup be as happy and well-adjusted to domestic life as possible. HD Dog Training has been the best investment we could have made for our family. Our family suffered an incredible loss when we had to rehome our oldest dog after behavior issues led to an injury at home. We had been working with a trainer for six months when the accident took place. After putting our other two dogs through training with HD my husband and I agree that had our family found Rob and Tineisha sooner we most likely could have prevented and/or maintained the behavioral issues that had arose. My dog Dylan and I had so much fun working with Rob from HD Dog Training. Dylan is a smart boy, but he lacked confidence. Dylan panicked any time he couldn't find me. Rob got us playing hide and seek. We played hide and seek in the house, in the yard, on walks and in the park. Dylan still doesn't like it when I am out of sight, but he's able to manage his fear and wait patiently till I return. If Dylan comes looking for me, he's no longer frantic. He's in control. Rob completely transformed my 3-year-old Australian Shepherd in record time. Juneau used to struggle with reactivity, like barking at people coming into my apartment, sharing the elevator, and reacting to other dogs on walks. In just the first couple of sessions, Rob strengthened Juneau's heel, come, and sit commands. He also taught me how to properly correct Juneau's reactivity and how to reward good behavior. By the third session, we were able to take full walks, including through a busy mall and the Schuylkill River Trail, without Juneau barking at people or other dogs. By our last session, Juneau walked off leash in a brand-new environment, and we practiced our come command in an open field. I cannot recommend Rob enough! read more

After adopting our first puppy this fall, we found Rob through a Google search and within a week, he set up a virtual consultation to meet us and our dog Daisy. We got the 8 week training package. Robert and Tineisha have accomplished the impossible. My family has a 12 year old Bouvier Des Flandres who was recently introduced to our wonderful but wild Samoyed puppy. Our Samoyed was extremely difficult to walk, and often bothered our Bouvier who was not always interested in playing. With the help of Robert and Tineisha, we can now not only walk our Sammy, but do so without a leash AT THE SAME TIME as our Bouvier. Ibe found great success with Rob and tinesha over at Hd dog training. I adopted a 1 year old pit cleo from acct, who although is the sweetest dog in the world, she struggled with house manners such as bathroom, boredom chewing and pretty much eating every and anything. After just the first 2 weeks we had he sitting, laying down, giving paw ND ever doing a jump in the air and almost a 360 spin. Robert has been an incredible resource to our family at a time when we almost had to give up our beloved one-year-old Pit Bull. We have a very loving but also destructive Golden Retriever who at the time was around 6 months old when I called HD Dog Training. We had Max stay with Rob and Tineisha for a month of "puppy boot camp" and it literally changed our dog. Max is still crazy but no where from where he started. He knows so many tricks and is completely potty trained. Had we not got help from them I am sure we would not be able to keep our dog.
