we took our German shorthaired pointer here for a bath and the furminator. after getting him back not only did we find out that he wasn't even brushed he also came back covered in fleas. we have 3 dogs, the oldest one being six and I have never had a flea issue as they are on a monthly prescription. read more

So, full disclosure, they say in their website to have your dog vaccinated 48 hours before and I only did about 38 hours. I also did not make the appointment, my daughter did. Anyway, I live about an hour away from San Angelo and they called and asked me to come in an hour early, for which I left a reunion to help them out. The girl was nice but told me she couldn't do it until after 48 hours. I told her about my long drive to be there. She said I could make another appointment but I said "i am not comung nack here." It's better to help out small businesses anyway. I was going to buy an aquarium that I've been wanting for years too but I'm stubborn, I'll find somewhere else. read more

Theres needs to be a zero stars box. Took my dogs several times thinking, it could only get better. I was WRONG. For the price I pay for a full grooming I shouldnt have to fix the cut, hint ...its what I pay you to do in the first place. Not impressed with service and price. read more

Not sorry to say I wont be coming back here for grooming. The groomers have no idea how to handle big dogs - I brought in my chocolate lab and the groomer was weary from the start. She was way too timid (almost seem scared) and didn't bother to establish a relationship with my dog before taking her in. You cannot act scared around dogs - they sense that fear and are fearful in turn for themselves. The groomer cutting my dog's nails could not get her on the table and cut her nails on the floor instead, which was fine with me. However, she would timidly and very slowly try to reach for my dog's paws while standing BEHIND her, which is NOT how you should start the procedure. If the dog can't see you, know's you are afraid of them, and you start reaching for them, of course they aren't going to be kind. She eventually got 14/16 of my dog's nails cut with the help of another groomer who actually was petting my dog during the process (imagine that!) to calm her. They were going to leave the nails like that until I came back in and asked them to cut the last two nails while I was there consoling her. The groomers here need training or MUCH more experience if they are working at PetSmart. Maybe she wasn't a dog person, but if that is the case, she should not be working here. Not handling yourself correctly around dogs is a danger to the human and to the dog. read more

I don't usually go to Petsmart (or Petco for that matter) as I find everything to be pricy, but when I do have to go, I, like everyone else, like to go where you feel most comfortable. This is a great pet store to go to. The prices here are better than at Petco, and all the employees are very nice: cashiers, floor staff, trainers, managers, and groomers. They all are polite, informative, happy, accommodating, love our dog - hyper as he is - and I enjoy going there to have an employee I've never met before guess what breeds are in my dog. Great to have a conversation, and yet they remain professional throughout. And I must say they set the mood to the whole place that even the other customers are extremely nice and friendly - which isn't usually the case I've found. read more

We have been going to PetSmart for grooming for almost a year now. We have had the best service! Our groomer, Amyie goes above and beyond for me dogs. My dogs get so excited when they go in for a grooming! Great customer service, professional work, and extremely friendly! read more

Took my Golden Retriever there a few weeks ago. They did an okay job, cut her hair way too short in several places & unevenly at that. I was going to return with her and be much more specific about the cut. However I took my Siberian Husky there today for a bath and brushing & they freaking shaved him. How do professional groomers not know that you never shave a Husky ? And no one stopped and thought about that? They shaved his under carriage area & upper thigh, which they didn't even do a good job since it's lopsided & looks like they nicked him. They also shaved part of his butt. I don't know where they learned to groom, but neither of my dogs will be going back to this store EVER again. read more

If there was a ZERO star that's what I would give. Scheduled appointment for grooming online only to get a call the next day saying that the appointment was actually not available and was a system error. I spoke to store manager DONNA. Well I should say attempted to speak. Every time I would start talking she would begin to talk over me. I then told her I would be writing a review and she hung up on me. As soon as I said negative review she just hung up and didn't say another word. Such an amazing customer service skill for a manger!!!! read more

Terrible groomers.. They dislike their job and dislike animals .. They have yet to fully complete any service I had ordered for my dogs.. My animals aways leave their dehydrated and afraid. Stay away from this place read more

It is always so easy to go in, find what you need and check out without wasting a lot of time. I love how pretty much all of the PetSmarts are layed out the same, regardless of which city you are in. read more

We were new in town and need my dog to be groomed quickly and this was the only place that had an opening. With that being said, the groomers didn't do too well of a job on my dog's face or underneath her chest. Her ears were still dirty when we picked her up, and the price I paid was crazy! When we got home I had to shave her face and chest more. This will be our last visit here. read more

Store was clean. Nice selection of aquatic equipment, supplies, and animals. Unfortunately, they didn't have Betta fish, and no one was working the area for me to ask them. read more

This store is great! Always helpful and nice! Took the doc training class and really enjoyed it. It is a little pricy but better than petco! My dog loves coming in the store and picking out a toy and getting treats from all the employees. read more

I took my two dogs here for grooming one day. I asked them not to blow dry my male dog, which I didn't think was that odd of a request since a lot of dogs don't like that. They seemed to understand and said they would air dry him. Then they called me told me he got upset during blow drying. Which I had asked them not to do. At the end of the day they said they didn't have time to do his nails, which is what I really needed. Not going back. read more

This PetSmart location is smaller than the ones I'm used to, but the service was better. They were all smiles and helpful without being annoying. I did a return today and the cashier, an older brunette woman was friendly. The store was clean and in case you're used to the groomers being located at the front of the store, they aren't. They're in the back. We've been here twice now and we'll most likely be back soon to use the grooming center. read more

Nearly impossible to get assistance unless your looking for dog food. Stood in front of the fish section for 20 minutes waiting for the guy who kept saying "I'll be right with you" text away on his little phone. read more
