I recently switched to this salon after my groomer stopped. I was surprised at what I saw. It was clean people were curious and we found a terrific groomer in Kelly who grooms small dogs . I can tell you despite the bad reviews they are all good with the dogs. I also found out they are inspected regularly and wouldn't be in business if the negative reviews were true. I will continue to use this grooming salon . I'm also paying half the price and have a happy dog after grooming. read more

What they did to my dog id inexcusable. He is almost 15 yrs old. I asked them to b gentle. They physically hurt him. Absolutely butched the grooming n gave him back half cut. He has been groomed every 3-4 months his entire life without incident or complaint from anyone. I would strongly caution anyone to not take their pet to these people. I personally think the are inexperienced and learning their trade and have no experience at what they r doing. Please for the sake of your per find someplace else. read more

EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the grooming service. I took my 3 month old puppy for his first groom, and left with blood drawn on 2 separate nails. The management at Quakertown PetSmart was condescending, & borderline rude. If I didn't have my training service to complete here, I would NOT be returning. We once used this Petsmart Grooming regularly, I'm unsure if it's a new policy or the new team of people in the back but it is not the same. Good luck obtaining any of their "walk in services". Even though it was 9:30 AM and four of the groomers were standing around, they could not get my dog in for a nail grind. Earlier this year, when Covid was worse, I understand all services we are by appointment only. But they advertise "walk in" options are back but can't actually fulfill them, seems pretty silly to continue to advertise don't you think? read more

I was shopping at PetSmart and happened to glance over through the glass at the pet grooming area. My jaw dropped as I watched two individuals [I assume they were employees] try to clip the toenails of a small breed dog. The handling of the dog was so atrocious, I was going to go over and tap on the glass to let them know I was watching and to stop the rough handling of the dog. In hindsight, I regret not having done that. Although the dog was wiggling and not cooperating, I thought for sure they were going to break the dog's legs as they wrestled with it. I can only surmise the boss was not around, because I never saw this happen before. But this kind of treatment should NEVER happen. Unless I could stand and watch the entire time, I wouldn't risk taking my dogs there for grooming. read more

My girlfriend took her 8 month old persian cat to the groomers here. (who is very familiar with bath taking) After $70 and once at home my girlfriend noticed gunk still in the kitties eyes and poop on her paws. She called and asked what was the deal. Well the "salon" says "It appeared that the kitten has an respiratory infection, so no bath was given. Well that is perfectly fine! But don't let me pay $71 for a coat trim and fail to mention it! read more

PetSmart in Quakertown is a store with heart. They allow Mostly Muttz Rescue to hold adoption events there monthly and give food donations for our dogs. The manager, Martin, is very accommodating and he makes us feel welcome with our adoptable dogs. read more

The last review I left was about my poor experience at this location regarding the lack of quality of my dogs groom and my poor experience with the staff. I recently gave this location a second chance after speaking with a groomer over the phone about my past experience. She promised me this wouldn't happen again and she was friendly, heard my concerns, addressed them, and was professional. When I met the groomer in person she and her staff gave the same service in person as she had over the phone. My dog got every treatment I asked for. I appreciate the service and I am glad I gave them a second chance. My dog looks great. I am so thankful for this experience. read more

We took our dog for a bath and haircut on the Saturday before Easter. The check in went real fast, to fast. The groomer wasn't listening and it was busy. When we got back to pick him up,around 4 hours later, it was kaos in there. There was little kids running around back where the dogs get haircuts. I didn't think that was right, someone could get hurt. I asked someone in the store about it, they said the kids were the managers children. No wonder our dog still stunk and felt like he wasn't rinsed real good. We won't be going back. read more

We have taken our puppy here since we first got her. They have always done a great job in the grooming area until the last two times we have taken her. The second to last time they barely did anything. She left the groomers with mats in her hair, her nails not trimmed, and her hair was still in her eyes. We filed a complaint to management because the amount we paid was so high and they did not even do the job we paid for. The management handled it poorly and did not really care about how we felt. We decided to give it one more try with a different groomer, so we did. After we came back to pick her up, our puppy was completely shaven after we said only to take half of her hair off. I wanted to cry and she's only a few pounds. Now it's almost winter time and she's going to be so cold. Also advice to management, get rid of the rainbow haired groomer she is so rude and nasty. But I will never be taking our puppy here again, corporate doesn't even know how to handle problems. I rather pay the same price at a real groomers read more

This is the second time I have taken my Jack Russell Abby for a spring cut. Both times she came back to me pampered and happy as can be. I know there has been bad press lately about some of Petsmarts groomers, so I wanted to take the time to say that they have been nothing but wonderful with my girl. They are all pet owners, and fawn over my pup whenever I come in, giving her treats, and putting bows or handkerchiefs around her neck. The first visit last year was supposed to be a one time thing because I needed it done quickly, but I plan on bringing her in anytime she needs a trim after the way I was treated. read more

I Have been taking my dogs to Petsmart in Quakertown since it opened to be groomed. I will not take them there anymore. Manager is nasty and not very nice .I heard her talking on the phone one day to a potential customer she was so rude . Im sure that person didn't make an appointment. The salon has gotten dirty also. When I took my little dog in she came back and she had knots in her hair and not all her nails were clipped. So that was it for me. I can find a groomer that can do a better job. read more

Miserably incompetent/untrained employees and terribly ineffective management. I decided to purchase a 55 gallon fish tank. Normally, I prefer PetSmart over Petco as the lesser of two evils in this regard. Currently, Petco is running a 'dollar per gallon' sale. I did some online research about whether PetSmart will honor Petco coupons, and it seems to be a regional-by-region thing. So, I went ahead and called the Quakertown PetSmart, and asked the guy who answered the phone if they would match Petco sales. He assured me they would. I then specifically asked him: "What about the Dollar/Gallon sale?" Again, he assured me they would: "As long as I had proof." No problem, I thought, I can pull this up right on my phone. After I hung up, I realized I should ask whether they even have a 55 gallon tank in stock. I called again, this time to the fish section. The woman who answered the phone assured me that they had both the kits, and just 55 gallon tanks in stock. Perfect. Both of these conversations made it seem worth my time to drive to the store. So you can imagine how frustrating it was to arrive there, only 2 hours after these conversations, to find out that both employees had lied to me. I got there and started walking around, trying to scope out the 55 gallons. When I didn't find one, I asked an associate for help. This person confirmed that there were no 55 gallons in stock. I didn't panic at this point, because I figured since it was they're mistake, they might actually be willing to back up the information they'd given me by offering a 50 or 60 gallon tank at the deal price, right? Wrong. At that point, I was also told that they would, in fact, NOT be honoring Petco's dollar per gallon sale. It didn't matter that a PetSmart representative had already told me they would. It didn't matter that I had brought the proof of their competitors sale, and that PetSmart has a price-matching policy. They simply weren't going to make this right. I suppose I could have gone ahead and been one of those 'terrible customers' who throws a fit in the store to try to get them to do what they had said they would do... but quite frankly, I don't want to have to do that. Watching the 'manager' who helped me text the store manager; and then try to jump through a litany of loopholes about just exactly why they wouldn't provide me with the service that I had already been promised was just plain bullshit. At this point, I'm more than happy to spend 5 times the amount of what I would have paid them to a competitor who can provide me with good customer service and basic human decency. read more

I have taken my dog here for grooming since he was a puppy (now 7 years old), and never had a bad experience until the last 2 times I have taken him. He had the same groomer both times who did not give the pamphlet of what was done like they normally do but verbally told me his ears were cleaned and looked good, nails clipped and teeth brushed. Well, a few days after I noticed him at his ears a lot and the inside of his ears were full of debris (he would not let me touch them) and definitely did not look cared for. He was due for his annual vet visit a few days later..and the vet cleaned so much debris out of his ears (she thought there were mites, but results showed nothing even with all that debris) and she had to trim some hairs in the inside. She had to do a more thorough cleaning (ears were red/crusty). Although the vet said she didn't blame the groomer for not wanting to touch them and not to throw anybody under the bus but I should find a different groomer. My problem is this groomer lied and told me his ears were cleaned and everything looked good and I paid a pretty good amount for him to not have the things he was suppose to have done. Normally it takes 3 hours, it took this groomer 1 1/2 hours last visit. read more

I took my 2 small dogs for the Bath and Groom package for $18.99 each. When I got the bill I was also charged an extra $12 each for nail grinding. I spoke with the manager named Kim who treated me very disrespectfully and was very argumentative when I said I was never asked if I wanted this extra service. read more

They did a great job grooming my bichon. I was skeptical about using Pet Smart from word-of-mouth reviews, but the whole process, the experience, the friendliness, and competence of the groomers impressed me. It's a little more than I am used to spending, but worth it. read more

STORE: the selection of dog food/toys is great. They always have my brand of healthy holistic grain free dog food. And my dogs just love all the toys I come home with. I do wish they had more to choose from in the way of harnesses and collars, as I find that I like the assortment at target better for that. But overall, very good selection of dog stuff, and I have always been pleased with the courteous and helpful staff also. GROOMERS: My dog has seen the same groomer twice, and she seems to love my dog, so I will always try to make sure she is the one who grooms my dog. They are very friendly, and they all seem to be dog lovers, so I feel comfortable taking my pet here. My only complaint is the amount of time it took last time... They had my dog for over 4 hrs, which seems a bit excessive to me. Before I moved to this area, I had a groomer who always had my dog ready in two hrs, so I think I was expecting the same from Petsmart. It doesn't even take 4 hrs when I go to a human salon for myself, and I'm getting a lot more done to my hair... Cut, color, highlights, blow out... Also, and this part is NOT the groomers fault but worth mentioning... The extra services (stencils and feathers) are a waste of money unless your dog is not active at all. My dog had completely rubbed off the stencils, and got the feather out of her hair before 24 hrs passed. The groomer told me that I could bring my dog back in if that happened, but honestly, with how quick my rambunctious girl got them off, I figured it wasn't worth the trouble. If your dog is older, and doesn't play much, maybe they will stay in, but if your dog is like my dog, then those services are definitely a waste of money. I will stick to regular grooming services in the future. read more

Very disappointed in the grooming services at PETSMART in Quakertown. Had two pugs taken there for bath and nails. Shouldn't be that hard to do...just picked them up and brought them home (PETSMART is not cheap either) lifted them out of car and both of their faces smelled as if their wrinkles were not cleaned. Took a tissue and wiped their face, and guess what? Not washed. So, did they do their bottoms? Who knows. It is not hard to wash a pug, but I take them because I cannot do their nails. Last time I had them there, I didn't have a problem. I called and spoke to the manager Mary, who told me she will refund my money for the baths. But it is such a disappointment when you schedule an appt., take the time to take the dogs, drive home, then go back and pick them up and (after paying $60.00) you bring them home and their faces are stinky and not washed. I will take the refund Mary, but I will not return to have the dogs groomed there. I would not recommend these groomers again. DISAPPOINTMENT! read more
