I URGE YOU. NEVER USE THIS STORE OR GROOMING. ABUSIVE AND UNSAFE TO ANIMALS. I've sent formal complaints with absolutely no response. Complaint and details below. Long story short these people are beyond rude. They are abusive to customers and animals. For your safety and the safety of your pet I highly urge you to stay away from this store. Subject: Formal Complaint - Unprofessional Conduct and Incomplete Service at Store #2472 (Oak Creek, WI) I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an appalling experience my mother and our family dog had at your Drexel Town Square location (Store #2472) late last week as well as the completely unacceptable behavior of the store management and groomers. Especially the groomers. Our dog is a regular client at this location. Because of his specific needs, your grooming staff is well aware that he requires sedation to be safely groomed. Due to the predictable stress of the environment, he had a bowel movement on the salon floor. Instead of handling this common situation with the professional care (or common sense) expected of certified pet handlers, the salon staff reacted with hostility. They abruptly halted the service, called my mother, and sent her home with a stressed, half-shaved dog. They were snarky and rude to my mother, causing her to leave there in tears. She is in her 70s. If they want to be rude to someone, I can go up there and they can be rude to me. They don't get to abuse a woman in her 70's and her pet. When I called the store Monday morning to discuss this mishandling of a loyal customer, the manager on duty was completely dismissive, aggressive, and highly unprofessional. Rather than de-escalating the situation or offering a solution, her hostile demeanor forced me to end the call in extreme frustration. Words were said that were well earned at this juncture. While the conversation became heated due to the poor customer care, regard for the wellbeing of both the pet and the owner; it is entirely unacceptable for a retail manager to treat distressed pet parents with such blatant disrespect. The real question now is if they are that terrible in someone's face, how are they treating their animals when no one is looking? They were abusive to my mother, I can only assume they abused the dog and it was scared. Leaving a dog partially shaved and refusing to accommodate a known, stress-induced reaction from a regular client is a failure of care. Furthermore, the toxic customer service exhibited by both the salon staff and the store management violates PetSmart's corporate standards. read more

I don't understand the low ratings for this location. This is the ONLY Petsmart Iv'e visited that has a proper fish department. The staff at this location know what they are doing. The livestock is healthy, vibrant, and thriving. This store should serve as a prototype for the chain, because the other locations should not even be trusted with tropical fish. The Grafton store, while improved from last year, is atrocious. I live in Cedarburg, buy make an effort to stop at the Oak Creek location to purchase new specimens for my aquariums. On my last stoop, I purchased three more tissue culture aquatic plants. Again, the staff here have taken it upon themselves to understand the hobby, and their animal husbandry is exactly what it should be. read more

We went to PetSmart in Oak Creek two times to have our dogs nail trimmed. The first time was great, and they only charged us $12. because they have a discount from 3-7 p.m. Today we went at 3:30 and they trimmed our dogs' nails and this time they charged us $20 for the same thing that we paid $12 for last month. We will be going to Petco from now on. Very frustrating! read more

I just wrote this. Here we go again. Stopped at this location approximately 3pm today. I had to put my Sweet kitty down in June and I am finally ready. I enter and ask if I can see the cat. I at that point had only seen the black one. Rudely told there was more than one cat in there and no I can't see a cat. Only people that are serious adopters. I wish I would have gotten the employee's name. She don't know me. Then I said I was interested in the black cat because they seem to go last. She said oh no they actually go first. I am in my sixties. ALL my life I have heard and seen black cats being picked last. But I am wrong again. Then she said they were adults. I said that's what I wanted because kittens have too much energy. She said adults have energy too. Go figure. Looks like she wants to keep the kitties. A cat didn't get a home. I'll go to Maddoc tomorrow and save some money. Unqualified and definitely needs Customer service training. read more

A couple of the negative reviews involve their grooming services and I can't attest to this aspect of the place. I groom my own cats and I have the emotional and physical scars to prove it. There's a special connection you can have with your cats if you trim their claws, brush their teeth, clean their ears and brush their fur. My cats may not like it, but I think I've earned their respect. It takes a superior intelligence, opposable thumbs, perseverance, courage, You-tube videos and the supplies you can buy at this store. They have a very good selection of cat food, cat toys, but no cat handcuffs. Why does no one carry cat handcuffs? read more

Brought them home and added them after seeing the white dots and them introducing ICK to a completely healthy tank. And killing one and hopefully one that was established over 2 yrs. Do NOT buy fish from this store! They do not take care of them and I had 3 die within 24 hours of purchase. I have raised Goldfish before and had one live for 9 years, so I understand how to care for them. I tested the water 3 times before putting the fish in and ALL of the levels (pH, Nitrate, Nitrite, KH, and GH) were in their optimal ranges. The water was perfect, the filter was new, there were no signs of any danger. So the only reason the fish died were from not being treated well at the store. Also, I didn't notice this until I got home, but one of the fish had white spots on its body and tail indicating a fungal infection (If I had seen this at the store I wouldn't have purchased it). All 3 fish were very sick and I tried to treat them using Melafix and Pimafix, but sadly it was too late. Shame on you, PetSmart! read more

Couldn't be happier with my dog's groom! Brian did an excellent job, all grooming staff were helpful and seemed happy.

I stopped in here recently to buy Christmas presents for our Puppies and Kittens. The store is brand new, with nice wide aisles. This makes it very easy to navigate in a wheelchair. It is also very logically organized, so things are easy to find. I did have a little trouble finding someone to answer a question for me, but once I did, she was very helpful and friendly. read more

The first couple times I took my dog there to get groomed were great the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and they did a great job. However the last two times I went there they over charged us and didn't even do all the services that were part of the package that was on their website. He didn't even smell like shampoo or anything and on top of that when my dog came home I noticed his ears were still dirty so I called them they asked me to bring him back and one of the groomers basically just wiped the outside of his ear with a wet wipe or something and then sent us on our way. I ended up calling the next day and they did offer to redo the whole service free of charge which was nice and all but I probably won't be going back, their bad service isn't worth the $50 or the hassle of having to go back and have things redone. read more

The first time I took my dog for a bath and nail trim (a vizsla with short hair and basically no required drying time) he was there for 5 hours, with no phone call to me. Finally I called to check on the status of my dog, they said, oh yea, someone was supposed to call you. We thought someone did, your dog is ready. So 5 hours later I pick up my dog, and bring him home and he had no services done. His nails weren't trimmed, and he clearly had no bath. I called back, they apologized and told me to bring him in again at a later date and they would do the services for free. (That I already paid for) Fast forward to the next time I skeptically tried to take my dog there again. He was shaking when I brought him in the grooming salon, the attendant mentioned him shaking, I said yes, he's a skittish dog, we've HAD him on Chinese herbs in the past. (Didn't work so we took him off them.) She said I can't take him today then....I was confused....she said you just said he was on medication and we can't see him. There went a back and forth from there, the manager came in (and did nothing) basically they accused me of being a liar and saying my dog was on the medicine when he's not. (I also offered for his vet to be called to verify he was no longer on the herbs, and they denied being able to do that as well) HORRIBLE SERVICE. I'll NEVER be back to say the least, and would strongly advise anyone to take their dog ANYWHERE ELSE. It wouldn't be hard to find a grooming service that's more professional, accommodating, and that actually does their job, than this establishment. read more

I see some people have had bad experiences with the groomers here but I have to say my two experiences have been great. No problem getting an appointment with a couple days notice. They texted me 2 times leading up to the appointment to remind me. And most importantly my dog looked great after both visits. Unless something changes they have my business from now on. read more

Do not go here. I had my dog groomed for the 1st time and they didn't do a good job, I didn't want to complain but I at least made them trim down his tail because that wasn't even done. He's a Golden and as you can imagine quite hairy. I left and was still unhappy so I called and the girl thought she put me on hold but talked very very badly about me and I could hear every word and she lied and said things I didn't even say. I confronted her and she said she was talking about someone else. As a customer I have the right to want it redone if I'm not happy and for the amount of money I paid. I gave them a chance to resolve this and called corporate and they were supposed to call back within 48 hours but didn't so hence why I'm on here letting you know not to go here. If I could give this place a negative score I would. After waiting for weeks and looking around everywhere for a groomer, I finally get an appointment scheduled here for today at 2pm. I drive 23 miles to come to the appointment to only be told that it wasn't scheduled. UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE is an understatement. Then I speak to the manager to just be told that there is nothing they can do. DO NOT RELY OR COME HERE. If you are lucky to "get an appointment" verify, double verify, triple verify before you waste your gas. So disappointed!!! read more

This is a brand new store and it is immaculate. The animals here are well cared for and it's a good place to adopt kittens or cats. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoy going here. Their prices are on the high side but they have supplies you can't find elsewhere. There is ample convenient parking. read more

Horrible customer service. Bought two animals from them and both died with in a week and would not refund us. Managers are also not very friendly. We had a return and the manager made us go to the other petsmart In greenfield because they didn't want anything negative to impact there store. You can not tell a customer that, ifs it's from petsmart you return it as long as it's in good condition... very rude. Greenfield was shocked they made us do that for a simple return... we will be sticking to Petco for now on. Much friendlier and reasonably priced. read more

Our puppy was shaved down to the skin in some areas and in others hair was left. Totally hacked. One eye was cut well the other had hair left over it. It took 4 hours. She didnt even smell clean washed like usual. For 90 dollars! Apparently when you make an appointment walk ins come before you. Im sure they left her sitting while others went in and then completely rushed the job to have her done by the 4 hour pick up time. I will not be going back! read more

This store is very new & I didn't even know it existed 'til I was driving by to see where one of the new restaurants had opened. This store is very clean and does have a great selection. I've only been to the canine section of the store, but they have really great vitamin, supplements, and dog hygiene sections. Honestly, I was able to find things here that I would have trouble finding online even. I think PetSmart is able to produce some pretty unique products that only they carry in their stores so definitely makes it worth it to stop by and take a look. Parking was easy and usually staff greet you when you walk in. My most recent trip, the cashier was very friendly. A time before, another staff member offered to help me find some food. The staff is helpful and they also feature some good deals scattered throughout the store. Like the other review said, some products definitely cost more, but, honestly, most pet stores I've been to charge quite a bit for pet products. I think the price point is fair enough for most items..especially, considering that they are specialty items. With that, you also get a fairly wide range of products to choose from. My Goldendoodle was recently groomed at Petsmart in Oak Creek and the grooming was horrific. She had been there 7 weeks earlier so there was not a long time between grooming services. The groomer, manager, explained that she was quite matted and may have to be shaved down in those areas. Well, she was shaved totally on all 4 legs, in addition to up the neck, mostly on one side, up from the legs into her body, leaving her full coat in portions of her body that were not symmetrical with any of her shaving. There must have been no attempt to comb her in certain areas where it looks like the shaver went too far, at least on that half of her body. My dog looks completely ridiculous and I am so embarrassed for anyone to see her. It looks like I attempted to groom her on my own but failed miserably in the process. It cost $74 for a grooming service that will be followed by another grooming service elsewhere to shape up what was done.
