Went here as a second choice to purchase some algae eating snails and fish. Like that they have the snails in two tanks to make it easier to see and identify ones you may want specifically. The algae eating fish known as the C down P...something, don't remember the name but there were quite a few of them. I wanted a larger one and the associate took the time to remove the items in the tank to make it easy for her to look around and try to net the larger one. They all were packed nicely and I acclimated then to my current tank and released them that night. Hopefully they will work to keep the algae from building up on my tank glass. read more

We've taken our golden-doodle Taffy here a number of times with results that were okay. But this time was different. I asked one of the associates to trim off a quarter of an inch all over, leaving her tail and ears untouched. Apparently she handed off the job to another associate who misunderstood the directions. Well they got the tail and ears part right, but they SHAVED the rest of her body. She looks like an oversized Mexican hairless. We complained and they refunded our bill, but nothing can make it right, the damage is done. It will be months before she looks normal again. We are not happy! read more

I ordered wet food from their website. It was not packaged properly and all the cans were dented. When I called to return it I found out that they would not pick up the return that I had to go to a physical FedEx locatiom, which is incredibly inconvenient to me. So I ahve to bring it into the store for a refund, but not on the shipping. Also when I went to cancel my autoship the website kept sending me through a loop where I had to look at every page of their rewards program that I was necer going to use. read more

I've been going to this particular PetSmart for over 5 years and I've had a great experience EVERY time I've visited. There's always someone welcoming me as I enter. Any time I need assistance, finding someone is very quick and easy. If I have any questions, an employee will always do their best to get an answer for me. If it's something on the more serious side, their advice to ask my vet is VERY appreciated. (I'd MUCH rather have that over a guess.) To really express how great the experience has been, I'd like to share some wonderful stories about our "furry babies".., The most wonderful experience I've had was back in November 2009. My boyfriend and I found a tiny kitten, approx. 4 weeks old, in a mud puddle outside of our home. Everyone, one gentleman (who's no longer there, wish I could remember his name) went above and beyond for over 2 months helping us with formula choices, kitten food, and special care. We would have been so lost without all of that help. Freddie is now a wonderful, healthy adult cat. In 2010, our cat Reingassi suffered from (and did, after much treatment, survive) struvite crystals. Obviously, the vets took care of everything important. However, we received great advice of safe treats (I didn't know GNC made urinary tract treats) and litter that would be less harsh for his *parts*. It helped us keep him much more comfortable. And yes, we have another. Due to her type of fur, and the fact that she loves to sit on heating vents, she started sneezing ALL the time. (When she began to cough and sneeze, we did have the vet check her to rule out any type of congenital heart failure.) But she HATES to be brushed. We were shown EVERYTHING we need: special for wipes, particular types of treats, a glove that works as a brush so she think she's being pet (pretty sneaky), etc Yes, quite a bit with these three, all at once. Yet it's what we do to take care of them, and we wouldn't change a thing. No, I am not"talking up this store" just because I've been going there for many years. It really is a very great place, with fantastic customer service, and very helpful employees. There must be fantastic management instilling the ideals of not only great customer service, but the truth that many (if not all) people treat their pets like family members. We will do ANYTHING to keep them not only in perfect health, but perfect happiness. I sure know I do. These are my babies. My only "kids". This place gets it! read more

Showed up to the location for dog grooming services and I was a bit nervous as all three unoccupied employees were teenagers clearly working a summer job. Upon check in, I was told that my appointment was booked for a nail trim and shampoo. I booked a haircut. I was explicitly clear that my dog needed a haircut when the appointment was booked. I was told I would have to wait until September, but I had just wasted two hours and decided to leave. Given the nature of COVID, and everyone being inconvenienced for one reason or another I was reluctant to call corporate. Everyone makes mistakes, I get it, but figured they should at least know so that it doesn't happen to someone else. When I called corporate I said, " Hey, I hate to be" that guy" buy I just had a bad experience and I just want to register a complaint." The phone hung up. This was the corporate customer service line. For reference that is 1.888.839.9638. Needless to say, what started as a moderate inconvenience, ended with their corporate customer service line throwing me the finger. There are a number of places you can get your dog groomed. I would highly advise against this location, and given my experience with corporate, anything requiring PetSmart customer service. read more

Stay away from the grooming! Michaela in-particular. Shaved my dog down to where he need to wear sun lotion. He had a few matts and instead of shaving those she shave everything down to his nose. On another occasion my daughter bought a mouse as a pet. The mouse died within two days so I called the manager who accused my daughter that it was not the say mouse she had just bought. He "did not recognize it" Really? Like we do not have better things to do than scam on a $6 mouse. Plus I had pictures of the women who sold it to us holding him so how he could argue this is crazy. STAY AWAY. I heard terrible stories of Petsmart but now I have experienced it. read more

This store does not honor its sales. I went in on the first day of the Friends & Family 15% off sale, and my cat's food was out of stock. A sales person told me to order it online instead; she said a new shipment would arrive on Sunday, which was the last day of the sale. I did not have time to go in on Sunday. Instead, I placed my order online on Sunday night. I was unhappy to discover a 20-can limit, but still ordered it. One day later, PetSmart sent me an e-mail saying they had cancelled my order because the store did not have the item in stock currently. I contacted customer service, which refused to honor the sale, and instead just said, "we currently do not have any information regarding replenishment. Also, we are unable to replace your order because the items are not available. At this time, we suggest checking back on our website periodically for future availability." Of course, now the sale has ended. This is what poor customer service looks like. I will not shop there again, and I would not recommend it to any friends or family. Because of this, I looked on Amazon, where I discovered the food is $0.52 cheaper per can. So, thanks for saving me money, PetSmart!! read more

Went in to buy my dog's food today. Looked like they were out of stock. One smaller bag on the shelf, covered with meal worms. No employees in sight. I asked the person at the register, she referred me to the "dog person." The "dog person" decided to play with the dog on her leash. Although at first i loved bringing my dog here to get groomed mostly cause of the convenience of online booking and decent pricing. I grew less and less impressed. First, there is constantly new groomers, so service is very inconsistent and new groomers mean less experience. I kept coming cause it was convenient but had to stop cause last time i brought my dog, he was terrified. He never was a fan of going there but this time it was different, he was shaking and did not want to go in. Then i remembered the last time i was there....there is a note he isnt a fan of the dryer but last time i went (new groomers again) they decided to have one groomer cover his head with a towel while the other one dried him with dryer which now i know traumatized him. No more petsmart grooming for me, wish i stopped going before they traumatized my poor pup. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my dog weeks ago for a bath & haircut.. I received a confirmation call Saturday and then received a call that following Monday hours before my dogs appointment & they tell me that they had to cancel my dogs appt because his groomer hurt her back (understandable because things happen) but then whoever I spoke to, tells me that they don't have anything until Feb 2nd. They couldn't squeeze me in and when I asked for something sooner i was told that the only other person who probably can is, 30 weeks pregnant but she'll try BLAH BLAH BLAH. First of all, idc about anyone's business and second clearly she can still do baths and haircuts if she's still there, don't try to make me feel bad about asking to be squeezed in after I booked the appointment WEEKS ago. The customer service here is terrible and pathetic. I won't be returning there again. read more

I can't believe I never updated this. The experience here went downhill immediately after my first posting! I deliberated, and wasn't sure whether to say anything or not, but alas, here we are. Our favorite groomer left. The other groomers there were terrified of my dog, which is hilarious but understandable. (Hilarious because if you understand dogs, you would know instantly what to do and Albi actually listens to you. He's not *that* difficult, he's just a punk). My experience took a turn for the worse when Mike the manager (I think? or supervisor? IDK) decided to tell me he couldn't be assertive with dog because that's just confronting him. DUDE. I have had my working line imported GSD for 7 years. I know this dog inside out. If I tell you something works, you need to take my word for it. He was so damn rude. Unfortunately for everyone, I think his life will forever be to be a mediocre manager of chain stores, but hey, everyone has to have a job right? When he said if I had any questions to let him know, I did call later on that day to ask about something. Do you think he was happy about me calling? Nope. And all I had was a simple question (Had to do with the Dremel size they used on dog). Anyway, after that experience, I resorted to just telling them that I would deal with my dog's nails (he's perfectly fine with me, which might be quite a surprise to Mike because he thought I didn't know what to do correctly), and I had to pay extra for them to do "express service" so they wouldn't put him in a kennel and sh*t their pants when he would get upset with them. Yeah. Before finally resorting to that, I had to deal with PAYING FULL PRICE for half the job they were doing. After resorting to them not doing his nails, I STILL HAD TO PAY FULL PRICE? This place went downhill as soon as they didn't have his previous groomer. It was really unfortunate, and my dog had to suffer for it. But luckily we moved a few months later anyway, and will never have to deal with them again. read more

My husky has been going here since she was a pup and it's always been a pleasant experience with grooming and regular staff. After today, I will never send my animals or recommend this grooming location. She received a pawdicure plus package and I am just baffled the "grooming stylist" Taylor thought this was acceptable. Once I got home, I took a close look to see majority of my pup's nails were clipped THEN ground down to nothing! Blood spots were visible and you can't even see her nails through her non-trimmed or shaved pads (which was included in this package) I am beyond pissed with the fact PetSmart is letting just ANYONE become employed as a Groomer. I was watching majority of the time and I did notice my pup jerk back towards the end, which I am assuming is a result of being cut. Also - not sure if her ears were cleaned as well. They were wet and it looked as if a wet rag was put in her ear and twisted around. My pup was calm throughout her service so I am confused why my pup walked out looking worse than when she walked in. After speaking with the store manager Ryan (Extremely helpful and apologized multiple times) he gave me a full refund and was extremely understanding! If you do have to go to this location, make sure you do not use Taylor! Extremely disappointed that my pup will no longer be able to go somewhere she was so comfortable with. read more

After 8 years and two St. Bernard's I will be finding a new groomer. Last visit I was not happy with the service provided as they did not perform what we asked for. My dog was still wet, they did not grind all nails or clean his ears. I called to speak to a manager, I will give him credit for being polite. But then asked ME to call HIM back the following day. Last time I checked I was the customer. I will be buying my supplies and services elsewhere. read more

This was a perfect waste of an hour. None of their groomers are comfortable handling dogs. We brought our dog in to get her anal glands expressed and understandably she is not happy about it. I warned them on the phone that she would be muzzled and I was told that's fine. We get here and the groomer that approached her was nervous and jumpy which made my dog nervous. They eventually said they won't handle her. I wish I could have saved my dog all the stress that could have been avoided if I had been told they don't work with pets that need a muzzle on the phone. If you work in any kind of animal field you need to be properly trained to handle animals that get nervous. If you can't then pick a new damn job. read more

I always come here to buy my rats Oxbow food, but this time I was looking for a specific cage for them to travel in. Though they didn't have it in stock, one of the managers called around and PERSONALLY drove to another store to pick up the one that I needed, in time for my trip. That, in my mind, is excellent customer service. They are also always friendly with my dog when she comes in, and manage to get her calm when getting her nails done. read more

We brought our dog here (who is a nervous dog, but sweet) last year and they seem to have a difficult time handling nervous dogs. I think we got blacklisted because "no appointments are available" which I think is code for "we don't want to groom your dog again". Like I said, she is not a biter, she just gets shaky. We decided it's probably easier to groom her ourselves as she does pretty well with us as her handlers. read more

I have been to this place multiple times over 4 years and was pleased with their service. Made appointment for 7 am Saturday only to be told my dog may nip and they would not groom my dog. When I made the appointment nothing was said. Groomer made this decision on his own. All previous report cards mentioned my dog did not like the clippers by her ears. Nothing else. I have a older Cocker Spanial that has been going to PetSmart for several years, he has a bad shoulder from a old injury, he is the most mild mannered, gentle guy, but he can't stand for long periods of time, My husband dropped off both of our dogs for their grooming, we got a call from the manager telling me that they would no longer groom him, my step-daughter went to pick him up, he was soaking wet and couldn't walk, they hurt him,evidently they tried to pick him up by his front legs, and he was in so much pain, his eyes where dilated with pain, always new groomers that don't have a clue, it is in his chart and has been for five years, SHOULDER INJURY, they sent him home wet, and in pain. The manager needs to get some training in customer service, that was several months ago and I will never step foot or buy product from them again. PetSmart is a learning place for inexperienced groomers, who can really hurt your pet. read more

I went into get some products for fleas. No one to help me on the sales floor! Finally found a lady with a lot of electronic equipment around her. She was talking on the phone. Sounded personal. She was in uniform. I stood there nearby for a few minutes. No acknowledgement. Finally I motioned to her are you on or off duty? I asked. "On she replied" I told her what I was looking for. She said up near the front. First two isles. Then went right back to her personal call. I am handicapped. I walked around looking for the products. Found nothing. Meanwhile the first sales associate that was on the phone walks by. Still on the phone. Makes eye contact with me. But ignores me. Went to the back of the store again. I got in line and waited. I asked the sales associate at the check out. She can not help me! She knows nothing about the products that I need! She wants to try to call the other sales associate that is on the phone for help! I came in for a 7am appointment, and while I was checking in with one woman, the groomer Jim hit a dog that was whimpering and crying. I took my dog back out and will not be using these people again.
