Grooming service scheduler is horrible! Then they Blame you for their incompetence. No I wanted express service. I double checked it. Asked twice. I then show up with both dogs and get told no. Can I just say how much I am enjoying curbside pickup? If I never had to enter a store, deal with people, or haul a 40-lb bag of cat litter ever again, I'd be totally okay with that. This Petsmart has designated parking spots for curbside, and for your convenience, they include the phone number to the store on the sign itself. It could have been slightly more seamless if there were a way to let them know you were there without having to call, press 0, etc. but I'm just being bratty at this point. The process of ordering online and picking up was great... just opened up the liftgate and the kind gentleman employee placed the bag of litter into my trunk. He did ask for ID but that was the only interaction we had. I hope they offer curbside pickup forever! read more

My feelings are a little mixed. Parking is a little bit hectic because this is adjacent to a target and right by the entrance and exit of a garage. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable as far as my feelings were concerned. They have an OK selection the store is very small so you cannot expect too much. My concern is I bought four fish here and three of the four died even after following exact instructions. It is very odd and the water levels have turned back fine. I've been taking my dog to the same girl at the grooming salon for the past few months and my dog always had a positive experience. I went today and it looks like the got all new staff, the regular groomer wasn't there, I wasn't too worried though. However, I believe it was the manager that took my dog to get his pawdicure. 1) the first thing she did is ask why my dog wasn't getting a bath and I said because he gets anxiety. She then proceeded to say that since he's not getting a bath, he's going to smell like poop. Which i thought was extremely rude. I've never had anyone question my choices & then be condescending about it. 2) I was outside the salon waiting for my dog when I hear him screaming bloody murder, which he has NEVER done during his nail trims. Her response? "he is just soooo dramatic" which he is, but never to this level, which I thought was strange. I got home and realized the manager cut his nails so short that the VEIN was bleeding. A HUGE NO. I will never be coming back here because of this isolated experience with not just an associate, but the manager. I don't recommend this salon as long as they have this absolutely awful and careless staff. read more

The difference between making this place a scary expirience for your pup versus it being a happy place is all thanks to the people who work here and actually understand dogs/animals. Please please beware of this particular location. "DO NOT BRING YOUR FUR-BABY TO THIS LOCATION"! My dog has going to the Dadeland location grooming for the past 4 years and the grooming department and store manager stated that due to store policies my dog is no longer welcome to come to utilize the bathing/grooming services because she has a diagnose of mild heart murmur and they feel she is not a candidate to receive bathing services. Unacceptable ridiculous and just plain pathetic. As a loyal Petsmart customer, I am quite disgusted and upset about this entire ordeal. PLEASE STAY AWAY! read more

I love petsmart. My family and I are heavily involved in petsmart/banfield. Banfield is a hospital within petsmart their truly amazing everyone that works here looks like they genuinely care about animals. Especially Hilary and Steven. Hilary works the banfield side and Steven takes care of the animals throughout the store! Hilary was super helpful about prices involving insurance and health needs for the animals. Be mindful they only check cats and dogs. The prices are not bad at all. They range from 30.95 a month to 50 a month. I have three dogs and their all old. So I need to take care of them I also have a bearded dragon so I need to take care of him too. Petsmart is amazing. Thank you! read more

PETSMART - DADELAND STATION - After getting stuck in traffic on Kendall Drive AND having to wait at a railroad crossing for a train to pass, Coco Puff (my stunningly beautiful pussycat) and I arrived at this Petsmart a teensy bit late for their Saturday special event ... "Chance" the Petsmart canine mascot was posing with pets for photos. When I told an employee that Coco & I were there for the photo session, I was informed that it was over. Although we were only ONE MINUTE late, they had already shut down everything pertaining to the event. Coco & I were both disappointed and (with a sad face) we asked nicely if there was any way that we could still snag a quick photo with their dog mascot. The employee asked his manager but was told no, sorry, the event is over. I was like, awww, shucks! I explained to the employee how we missed the event because of the train. Darn train! The employee seemed very compassionate and AGAIN asked his manager, almost pleading, to see if there was any way that they could accommodate me. The manager paused, then told the employee, "Well, if you don't mind putting the dog costume back on!" (Apparently, this employee was the one who had been dressed up as their dog mascot.) The employee assured his manager that he did not mind at all. So the manager said, "OK, go ahead." The nice, young employee excused himself as he proceeded to the backroom to put on the costume. When he returned dressed as a giant dog, I handed Coco Puff over to him, and the manager took the photo (which he emailed to me afterward. See my photos.) I feel that they truly went above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I was pleased. Then, as usual, Coco played on their "kitty playground" while I shopped. And, as usual, when it was time to leave, Coco Puff threw a temper tantrum just like a little kid would when their time at the playground has come to an end. (Spoiled brat!! ... Lol! ) This particular Petsmart location is conveniently located in Dadeland Station on the third floor right next to the circular parking ramp. A full-service Banfield Pet Hospital is on site. Employees are always friendly and helpful. In addition to this specific location meriting a 5 star rating, I also give the Petsmart Corporation, in general, 5 stars for the following reasons: 1.  They allow pets inside!  YAY!  Coco Puff is an extroverted cat who just loves to go to Petsmart with me.  All the employees & customers love her and they always tell me that they have never seen a  CAT  in the store, as most customers bring their DOG. Horrible grooming experience!! I regret bringing my poor pup here! Her appointment was at 1 PM, we showed up and the guy (shawn) said he had two dogs in front of her, we decided we would come back in an hour to give him time and not have her in a kennel so long. This was her FIRST grooming experience so we wanted to make sure she was comfortable (she's 5 months old). We came back an hour later and he said he has THREE dogs waiting still, That was already the first red flag, but we left her and came back 3 hours later only to see him rushing to finish with her because they were about to close. My poor dogs face looks terrible, everything is uneven , her ears are very dirty and to top it all off they shaved ALL of her body, something we requested they didn't do. Needless to say I will never step foot in this place again, and I really suggest you don't bring your puppies here!!!! read more

The WORST PETSMART EVER. Ladies are so rude in the grooming salon and their own hair is so ugly why should anyone ever trust them to cut their dogs hair. I am so upset by the attitude and bad customer service I experienced today at this exact petsmart. The groomers DO NOT CARE about the safety health or general well being of your pet. My dog came back from a bath without her nails cut!!!! WHEN ITS INCLUDED IN THE BATH. The ladies had no explanation and couldn't even ask me to see if I was okay with it before I paid. I will never be back to this petsmart. To the women who work in the grooming salon: I hope you treat every dog you get with respect and love and kindness. When I go see my dog my poor baby had a hole with blood that seemed she was trying to dry it out for me not to see it. Hole was deep and wide too! Nothing small at all!!!!! This lady was laughing and smiling telling me not to worry. My dog had to be put to sleep to stitch her wound. They denied wanting to give me any paperwork with the accident that happened! Which is ILLEGAL!!! After one week of missing work, because of having to take care of my dog and administer medications I find out her culture came back positive for a bacteria from the injury!!! Another dosage of antibiotic needed for another week! My dog and I suffered so much throughout this whole thing! It was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! My Maltese has been groomed every six weeks for the past several years at PetSmart Dadeland Station. I have never had a bad experience. I give the groomers a photo of the "hair style" I want and they have always been successful. Making an appointment on-line is easy. They get my dog in and out in about three to four hours, so she doesn't have to sit in a cage all day like at other grooming places I've been to. You can actually watch the staff groom the dogs right there in the salon and I have never seen them be anything but gentle and professional. Carl is my favorite groomer. He does a great job, is very conscientious and is a pleasure to work with. They have my recommendation! read more

I love coming to PetSmart to buy my dogs toys and treats to spoil them with! They always have great deals and sales going on! I also like the fact that they offer grooming services if needed, and have a pet clinic in the back. They offer a wide array of doggie treats and goods, with other pet stuff of course, but I am being biased since I have dogs lol. I've taken my dog there three times. First time for a bath and it was fine. The second time the person who bathed my dog I guess left the soap on and let it dry and so we had matting all over my dog's neck and snout. I take great care not to let my dog get matted as I brush him several times a week and he is professionally groomed and bathed every two weeks. Needless to say that trip to Petsmart nullified all my efforts. I took him to the groomer there and explained what had happened. They didn't care - they admitted that the individual who bathed my dog was new and had no experience and that they'd gotten complaints before. Then the groomer later returns my dog - his neck was shaved down to the skin as was his face in various places - I get that if they had no choice - but then what she did to his ears!!!awful. I'm never ever going there again. The worst. It's hair, it'll grow back but to take so much care of your dog and then to have all your efforts blown away because of their inability to train and supervise someone and then charge me EXTRA for the de-matting? Never again.i recently moved here from out of town and boy do I miss my old groomer. These people leave a lot to be desired. read more

I go to this PetSmart all the time because it's near my job so I thought I'd take my dog too the groomer there since I've never had any complaints on the store. Well, the groomer is not good. I mainly took my dog because he needed his nails trimmed (he's getting older and he doesn't let me do it anymore) so I waited until it was bath time to take him and do everything, I said repeatedly that I really needed them to cut his nails, however the nails are barely any shorter, thy filed them but they didn't cut them, they're pretty much the same length but not as sharp as before. He was still wet in many places and he smells. Not like in oh he doesn't smell like delicious puppy shampoo (which he does every time I bathe him), he actually smells bad aside from the wet dog smell because he's still wet (he was not smelly before, I actually wipe him and brush him everyday so he never really smells bad). This is a 15 pound dog, not a German shepherd. I understand he doesn't like getting his nails cut and might've put up a bit of a fight but you'd expect a grooming salon would know how to deal with this. And why does he smell so bad? So basically I paid so I could take him home and give him a bath myself. I don't know how other groomers are since this is the first time I've taken him but I have to believe they're better than that, your dog shouldn't smell worse than he did before you took him. read more

The customer service that you have is worthless. I went to the store and there was only 2 persons for the whole store (Which is HUGE). and one of them was pregnant, so she have to limit her work (I totally understand and respect that). They didn't have my order complete, and I needed to wait 15/20 minutes there to see what was going on. After that, and seeing the situation I needed to take look for the crate and take it by myself to the cash register (I was my dog and I needed to carry a huge crate so please imagine my situation) The girl that attend me told me she would solve the situation for me and apologized for the mess. Trusting her, because she told me that the product won't be charged until I get it, I left the store. Which looks like is a lie because I didn't pick up the product and the amount was charged; another thing to say, she also told me I should receive an email saying that the product would be ready for pick up which I never received. And now, I'm trying to see if the actual customer service of PetSmart can help me, because I'm in another country and I can't call to the store to solve the situation for me and basically the email was saying that the Customer Service cannot do anything, that I needed to call and solve the problem by myself. Is not only the store I should complain of. Is the services you have to help your clients too. Because I gave all the information that the service needed to contact that store and check out with them what's the problem. But it looks like I have to do it all by myself like I did there. read more

Protect your pet! After being a loyal customer to this location for as long as I have owned my dog I am shocked at the service from the grooming salon. I scheduled an appointment with the groomer and was cancelled twice because she was ill. Later taking him back to find my dog with continuous diarrhea accompanied by blood. I instantly went to the Benfield veterinarian (Inside this location) to find that my dog was suffering from anxiety from his grooming appointment. Trying to remain positive I took the sedatives the veterinarian recommended and rescheduled the appointment. As the holidays were approaching I finally got him in. Within the hour the groomer called to state she can't continue because he is much too anxious. Needless to say he has never suffered from anxiety before. I waited 14 minutes before Carl brought him out. As we rode away in my car I noticed a huge whole from the blade directly behind his ear (Never mentioned during my call). My dog isn't anxious, they missed and almost shaved his ear off. Management at this location at the time is insignificant. While I recommend Benfield, keep away from the grooming salon. read more

I decided to bring my Havanese pup, Asher, to the Banfield location here. I heard great things about the Banfield chain from other pet owners, and since this location was right around the street from my house I decided I had nothing to lose. After my first visit, I was so happy I decided to sign up for a Wellness Plan. Dr. Oudin is an absolute angel, and Asher LOVES her. She took her time with him, rubbing his belly and giving him treats so that his first experience wasn't all tests and shots. The vet tech was awesome as well; you can tell the staff there really love and care about animals. Dr. Oudin also neutered him last month and I was just as pleased with how his surgery was handled. Drop off was early, at around 7:30 am, and I received a call by 10 saying that he was finished and everything went well, but they were going to keep him until at least 1pm to monitor him and I could pick him up after that. I appreciate vets who clearly care for the animals, and the fact that they kept me updated and kept him to make sure he woke up properly was amazing. They also call the day after all appointments to check up, and after his neutering they called 5 days and 10 days after which was great. Since the vet did such a great job, after exhaustive research for a groomer I decided to try out the grooming salon at this same Petsmart location. My pup has a bit of anxiety when I leave him so I was nervous about how he would handle it. Carl, who groomed him, played with him for a bit while he checked out his fur to get a proper assessment and assured me he would take his time. He actually recommended just doing a quick bath and trim since it was his first time but I asked, if Asher behaved, that he please do a full groom. I got a call about 4 hours later saying he was ready to be picked up. Carl explained that Asher was nervous in the beginning, but he took his time and once he gave him a bath he immediately calmed down. He also said he gave him some play time in the middle of the process which I thought was great. Asher not only looked amazing (he gave him a beautiful cut, not just a shave like some groomers do), but he also came out happy and smiling! They sent him home with an adorable little gift bag and a toy. Overall, I am beyond pleased with the Dadeland Station Petsmart location. The people they employ are absolutely wonderful with pets and you can tell they really care about them. I would definitely recommend this location's services! read more
