A rash that I truly believe came from this dirty location!
    Rhonda M.

If I could give this DUMP zero stars I would! I should've walked out as soon as I walked in and smelled the STENCH! I am so disgusted with how it looked in there and the smell! I dropped off my puppy and when I picked her up, her ears were still dirty and she had eye boogers. I called them and let them know so I took her back and they cleaned her up. Now she has a rash and she's showing signs of a fungal infection in her nails. I will NEVER in life take my baby there again! They need to shut this nasty location down! Read other reviews. I'm not the first person that said this!

My sweet fur baby came to PetSmart in McDonough for Beginner Training. We had the MOST wonderful experience. Our trainer was Brooke P. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Brooke is FABULOUS! She took the time to get to know each pet along with their parents to ensure this experience met our needs. We loved it that our pet looked forward to these classes each week! We enjoyed this series of classes so much that we signed up for the Intermediate class. We cannot wait!

    Infection on my paw

1st and last time. My dog went in for a simple bath, nail trim and cleaning of the ear. My dog ended up with bacteria infections. Tools are filthy and the grooming department is so heartless especially the manager over the grooming department. Take your pets somewhere else! She gets groomed often and this has never happened with her other groomer. She is now on antibiotics for 10 days and has to wear an e collar due to their negligence.

Since then, my experience has gone downhill. I have tried multiple times to give this location the benefit of the doubt, but the ongoing issues with scheduling and overbooking are unacceptable. Each visit requires me to drop my dog off for services, and she ends up being there for 8+ hours with little to no communication. Today was the final straw. I dropped my dog off at 8:00 AM, and by 6:00 PM, they still had not even started her appointment. I have called repeatedly throughout the day, and no one has been able to give me a clear update or timeline. This is extremely frustrating and concerning as a pet owner. This has happened before, and I had to pick her up without knowing if anything was done. Now it is happening again. No pet should be left waiting all day like this without proper care or communication. I am very upset and disappointed. I do not treat my pet this way, and I do not expect a veterinary facility to either. At this point, I will be contacting corporate to address this situation and will be looking for a new veterinarian who respects both my time and my pet's well-being.

It was…read morenever super serious, and since we had some light aggression training in the past, we thought we could handle it on our own. We ended up getting a puppy at the end of 2023 and the aggression issues escalated, sometimes involving the new puppy. We called Franck for the aggression issues and ultimately decided to do full on Level 1 obedience training with him. From the get-go, Franck had complete control of our dogs. During our initial meeting/evaluation, they were complicit in his instructions. It was honestly super impressive - akin to folks you see on TV and how the TV show dramatizes their ability to immediately control an animal. This was the real deal. About a month or so into our training, we had another aggression issue, while it wasn't terribly serious, and we intervened quickly, Franck decided it was best for the dogs to go home with him for a few weeks. We were totally on board - we weren't sure if we had the skills yet to do it ourselves - but we knew he could do it. Within a week we saw a huge change in the dogs in videos he sent us, not only their obedience training, but there was absolutely no aggression with food or otherwise. Franck was also extremely available to answer any questions we had, whenever we had them. That was such a help that we could easily reach out to him whenever we needed assistance. In short, our dogs are impressively obedient now. By far, the best trained dogs I have ever had. Our beagle actually comes to us, when called, with no drama. This dog could not give a crap that we'd call her if she was out in the yard prior to her training. Now, she will come within seconds of us calling her. Both of our dogs are very well potty trained now. Our puppy is a golden retriever, so she has genes that help her with obedience built right in, and she is freaking awesome to work with now, even at just 7 months old. Franck's methods are well researched and backed by a lot of thought and just made sense to us. They're also not difficult - you just need the time and patience to learn and make it happen. Franck is no-nonsense, full of information, has been doing this for a long time, and he was such a pleasure to work with. He was fantastic with both our kids as well as our pups and we couldn't recommend him more!

When we followed Franck's methods she caught on much faster than we did! Franck started training her when she was all of 3 months and 3lbs! I'll admit that I was extremely skeptical at first. I was afraid that using the prong and e-collar would cause aggression, fear, or alter her personality in some way. Let me tell you...it didn't in the slightest! I've only seen her become more trusting and loving. She's basically a Velcro dog at this point. Lol! Getting her properly trained at such a young age was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I can't tell you how many times I've been complimented on how well behaved she is...ESPECIALLY for a toy size breed. I can take her anywhere because she's so well behaved and sweet. She's outgoing and friendly to everyone she meets. She's such a well adjusted pup! More than anything we've gained confidence as dog owners and it's great to know that Rain has a trainer for life should we ever need him. It was a pretty big investment but on the other side of things I consider it money well spent!

The clerk, Eric, rambled on and on about their WiFi being down so he needed to do the credit card transaction on his phone. When he asked me to sign on his phone screen, I saw that the screen itself was filthy dirty. He didn't offer any sort of writing item like a pen. He told me to use my finger to sign. I told him that I didn't want to touch his screen. When the transaction was finished, I asked him how I would tip the groomer. He said he'd have to do the credit card over again. I told him that was fine since I didn't have any cash and I thought it was important to tip the groomer. As I handed my card to him a second time, he remarked about how he and I had both touched the same credit card even though I hadn't wanted to touch his phone screen. He actually thought it was a clever zinger to show me how up on front of the other two employees. When I asked him about this, he got upset quickly. I asked a nearby employee if he was the owner. She replied very animatedly that he was her dad. He refused to finish the transaction to give a tip for the groomer. I have no idea if she got a tip from him or not. I do not think that anyone with such reckless regard for what should have been a basic and smooth customer interaction should be trusted with anyone's pets. The pets cannot speak up for themselves if they are the subject of any abuse. Based on Eric's undignified treatment of a customer settling a $110 grooming bill, it concerns me how the animals might be handled. Lisa Marie's grooming of my dogs has always been impeccable. I hope she is valued by the management and that she can find a place that treats customers nicer.

All of that was to preface the fact that Save Me From the Dog House did an excellent job with her oatmeal bath and blow-dry-- no judgements, annoyed behavior, or pitying stares, and no terrified pug returned to me afterward.
