She had to model her new leash as soon as we got in the car!

Went here yesterday with my 4 month old toy poodle to get her a vest/leash. I can't express enough the exceptional customer service I received in this store from Kevin and Bri! Both of them went above and beyond to help me select the perfect size/style. Bri gave me some additional tidbits regarding the vest! Thanks Bri! And Kevin made me feel comfortable allowing my puppy to walk on her leash in the store! Thanks Kevin, she did great! I normally order my dog supplies off of amazon but this was so much better. I did download their app for their great rewards program!

This is what he got this time. Horrifying!

Picked up our dog from the groomers and didn't even know him. She apparently accidentally shaved his brow off and then shaved his Schnauzer mustache said it was knotted . It was sticky but they just didn't want to take the time it was only a few months between grooming. It is horrifying. They never did this before and we went longer between grooming during the Winter.

Renee D is an exceptional dog trainer! I took my puppy here for puppy training, and me and my dog learned so much. Renee is a great, patient trainer who personalizes the training to every dog's individual needs and has a broad, deep understanding of many dog breeds. I am so thankful I stumbled upon this specific Petsmart! I have also had a great experience with the grooming team (specifically Ash). They look out for my dog to make sure it's a positive experience all around. They know how to groom my dog right - he always comes out looking amazing!

Took my 2 pups to get a bath and a brush. Lily was so sweet when we dropped them off and asked if I had any concerns, which I didn't. Upon picking them up Lily told me Krystal didn't like the dryer so she took extra time with her and Kaylee she said did great. I told her it was only Krystals second time getting groomed and she said she did great for only second time. Both my pups will be going back to Lily. She is great with the girls and excellent and with the other dogs. Thank you Lily.

called on 3/24 to make an appointment and the lower call was on the day of the appointment, showing that they call me at 10:05.

We had a groomer appointment that we made for our two dogs the Sunday before Friday 3/29 for 10AM. There were a few things going on at home that morning but we made it to the grooming shop, inside their doors at 10:05am. I was carrying my senior 14 year old dog and my other pup on the leash. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with the names of our pups. The greeter then continues to ask me if I have my updated vaccines record for my younger pup and I said yes, I have it right here on my phone, we got them done yesterday. She proceeds to tell me that they can't groomer her because the vaccines require 48 hour wait time so they won't be able to groomer her, without a pause in her announcement she continues to acknowledge my senior pup in my arms and told me that our assigned groomer is very backed up today so they will also not be able to groomer her as well. I asked her if she tried to call me before my arrival and she said yes, we did. I have phone records showing that they did call me, at 10:05am, when I was already inside the salon. I was offered on the spot to rebook but I had told her I will call them back because I am no longer going back. We were never once informed when we called to book the appointment that rabies vaccine requires to be done 48 hours prior to the groom appointment. I was never called anytime prior to my arrival that our groomer was running behind and that I didn't need to come in. I don't believe anyone thought that it was an inconvenience to make me come all the way to the shop with my dogs to tell me in person that I wasn't even welcomed that day. This was very disappointing and we wanted to support the groomers and staff at PetSmart but we will not be returning. The reason I am leaving this here is because management should know how our situation was handled so poorly. There were no follow-up calls to see how we were or if we were interested in booking again. Extremely disappointing.

I was honestly disgusted with the state of their fish. In small tanks, they overstock them to the brim, and some species are with other more aggressive species. I witnessed a few dead fish being chased and eaten by other fish, and was even more horrified when I looked in the fancy goldfish tank. I witnessed a large, beautiful fancy being eaten alive by a bunch of koi fish. They'd chase him around, taking chunks out of his scales and fins and wen. He looked absolutely miserable, with injuries all over his body. I told an employee, and they only moved him into another goldfish tank, where the others continued to nip at him. He needs help, not torture. You'd think a 40$ fish would be more taken care of. Nope. I would have offered to take him home to my own tank, but I doubt they would have allowed me to. You know, all about that $$$.

The dog is a total love bug but considering his size and strength, we couldn't risk any anti social behavior. After a few sessions in our home focusing on basic obedience and leash training, I began taking our dog to Nate's group classes. After a few of those, our dog was comfortably lying down surrounded by 14 strange dogs!! Incredible!!! We recently added a third rescue to the family. The introduction did not go well at all. It was a disaster. We called Nate again. He furthered the training on our first two with crate training and in a short time, he had all three walking together, calm and behaved. Here's the bottom line. Yes, Nate is a fantastic dog trainer but more importantly, he trained us to know how to understand and work with our dogs. It was very easy to let our dogs go untrained since they are such sweethearts with us. Now they are pets that we can take other places and not worry about them around people and other dogs. We know how to handle them. That takes so much stress away. We can walk them together, they are calm and happy. That makes everyone happy. I cannot over recommend Nate. He's a great guy and really knows what he is doing. If you have a dog, call him.

After a short 6 day long board-and-train followed by 6 months of weekly one-on-one sessions with Nate, I can confidently say our sweet girl is rid of her demons! lol. She went from a dog that I was scared to be under the same roof with to the sweetest girl that is off-leash trained, safe around children of all ages (under supervision of course), and eats just like any other dog I've ever had (with better manners actually). I am so grateful for his guidance. It took lots of time, dedication, and sacrifice but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I also feel all around more confident around dogs. Once you learn leash basics properly you can do anything!

*responding here as it will not allow me to update/respond otherwise*…read more My previous review is still up, I didn't remove anything and my statement still stands. If your first response without even meeting the puppy is to medicate it, if you're prejudiced against large breed dogs who's owner is reaching out to actually find the right help and answers, and if your response to someone disagreeing with you is to accuse them of 'being on something,' I don't understand why anyone WOULD have rejoined the zoom. I have my Furbo camera footage with audio of Eileen asking me 'if I am on something,' and me disconnecting the zoom. Over explaining the obvious doesn't explain that. 'Severe case of aggression' is insane for me having explained it was a high stress situation nip, ONE time in 12 years with my boy. Way to advocate. Hi Eileen, I did not refuse to accept that medication might be necessary. I respectfully refused to accept the first step in helping my puppy be medication failing a proper assessment and evaluation. I do not believe a 'severe case of aggression' from a trusted vet of 9 years would be referred without regard, and that immediate attitude of demonization of my dog is one of the reasons I ended the zoom with you. I think most of us with a working day to day common sense understand how prescriptions work. The emails to rejoin the zoom were also respectfully ignored as Eileen began to accuse me of being on drugs when I disagreed with her methods and analysis, thus ending the zoom. I'm glad that some people have found help with you, bless them and their babies

Julie has been our trainer for obedience and e-collar, and she is truly amazing. She's extremely knowledgeable, explains everything in a way that's easy to understand, and always takes time during every class to work one-on-one with each dog and owner. You can tell she genuinely cares and wants every dog to succeed. She's also very down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and the dogs absolutely love her. Stormi is a husky, so she can definitely be stubborn and sometimes act like she doesn't understand English when she actually does. Julie really understands the breed (she has several huskies herself), which has made a huge difference. Since starting classes, Stormi's leash walking has improved the most, and she's listening to me so much better instead of barking back at me like she used to... as much. Huskies definitely still have opinions, but the improvement has been huge. I've also noticed a big boost in her confidence. So far we've completed E-Collar, Obedience 1, 2, and 3, and I'm already looking forward to continuing with Obedience 4 and eventually service dog training. One thing I really appreciate is how well Julie works with all kinds of dogs in the class. There have been reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and even deaf dogs, and she does an amazing job helping each one improve. It's really cool seeing every dog make progress week after week. I also started agility with Amanda, and that has been such a fun experience too. Agility has been an awesome bonding activity for Stormi and me, and Amanda does a great job keeping the classes engaging and supportive. I actually found Smarty Paws because I met someone at the dog park whose dog was incredibly well trained compared to Stomri, and they told me this is where they went. I'm really glad they recommended it to me, because it has been such a positive experience. The trainers are knowledgeable, energetic, and genuinely passionate about helping dogs and their owners succeed. Stormi and I both look forward to class every week, and I'm really glad we found this place. Highly recommend!

When my…read morepartner and I were looking for a trainer for our dogs, we weren't blind to what our babies needed to succeed, but we didn't know how to go about it. Denise was the first trainer to write me back, and upon going onto her website and thumbtack account, I read all of the wonderful things that others had said about her - they're all true by the way. Denise sat down and listened to all of our concerns. We have a 1.5 year old rednose pitbull and a 2.5 year old akita/shepherd mix. Both our girls were rescues, and after a really ugly fight among each other, and our vet telling us that they'd NEVER be able to be around each other alone again, we knew we had to do something for them and for ourselves. Even just the consultation, we were able to see what the problem areas were and started a game plan. Five weeks later, and my dogs are almost unrecognizable, compared to before Denise came into our lives. Denise is kind, loving, and knowledgeable. I was so scared I was going to end up with a drill sergeant for a trainer, and that my dogs weren't going to respond to anything anyone said. BOY WAS I WRONG! Both of our dogs took to her and her direction so well - even our 8 year old mini schnauzer mini poodle started to take direction from her, and she wasn't even a focus. They listen better, they play better with one another, and most of all they're trusting us, as their owner's to show them the way, in everything that they do. We will be giving it a few months of trying to do some of our own follow through, and then more than likely touching base with Denise again for some more advanced training. I can't thank you enough, Denise. Thank you for showing us that we can love our dogs, while still providing structure. You have been nothing short of a miracle worker. In the above pictures, you'll be able to see some of our progress. We really hope that more dog owners will take the responsibility of getting the appropriate training that their fur-children need - if they can't do it themselves - and I wouldn't put my faith in anyone that isn't Denise.

This location is closer to where I live so I thought that I'll try them out and the experience would be the same, but I was wrong. The staff is very friendly and the location is very nice but I did not realize when I booked my stay that the location has no indoor play area. That would be generally fine if they have the dogs play outside early in the morning and in the evening when it's not as hot but not throughout the hottest times of the day. When I looked at the cameras, my dog was outside with over 20 dogs packed in a play area during the hottest times of the day. I picked him up on Monday, 6/8, and the staff told us that they barely noticed today that my husky had hot spots on his head and paw. I saw the hotspot and noticed he was also limping because of the hot spot on his paw. I treated the hotspot Monday night and Tuesday, but yesterday I had to take my dog to the vet because the hot spot on his head started to bleed and show puss coming out. The vet shaved it and checked his cheek and found a BIG hot spot on his cheek as well. My dog now has a cone on, I have to spray the spot on his head and cheek every 12 hrs, put ointment on his paw every 12 hrs, and he has to take a antibiotic every 12 hrs for the next 7 days. I'm sure during the winter it's fine to have dogs outside all day but not during the summer! The place is probably fine for a daycare but don't board your pet at this location!
