Sierra helped us out and let us interact and pet all of the Syrian hamsters they had. None of them were quite right for us, but Sierra was just outstanding. I was really blown away with how helpful she was and how well she knew the different hamsters. So often you go to a pet store and the employees don't get to spend a lot of time with the animals, and the animals are less social because of that. I wish that employees could spend more time with the animals - because they are the heart of the store. Anyway, definitely a great store, great energy, great layout, and fantastic service!

The overall vibe felt cold and unsettling rather than warm or compassionate. They appear to offer grooming, dog food, accessories, and other pet related items, though it wasn't very clear what services are actually provided. I initially came in hoping to see if they offered vaccinations, which they do not. Unfortunately, I barely made it through the visit. The environment was so upsetting that it genuinely pained me to be there, and my husband could see how uncomfortable I was, so we left immediately. I left with so many unanswered questions. Where do the puppies use the restroom? How often are they let out? Is there enough airflow, sanitation, and stimulation for animals kept in glass containers for long periods of time? The first time that we went we had a gentlemen help us and he was extremely knowledgeable about hamsters and just animals in general. We talked with him for a good five minutes. We didn't find a hamster the first time, but we came back a couple of weeks later. This time a woman helped us and she let us interact with all of the Syrian hamsters - and there were like 20 of them. Finally, after going to pet store after pet store - we finally found our new hamster. He's a black and white Syrian that we've named Mario. He has a huge cage/house. He seems to be really happy with the set-up. We've had dwarf hamsters in the past and we both had Syrian hamsters when we were young. He's burrowed straight into our hearts and we are proud to call him family! Kudos to Petco on Tropical! You made our family that much more richer for our new family member! Also, the store was clean, the cages were clean, the animals were all healthy, the service was paced just right for us - not too fast, not too slow. We got all of our questions answered and they made sure that Mario was going to a good home. Thank you!

I purchased a Yorkshire Terrier puppy from Puppy Boutique Las Vegas about a month ago. To be fair,…read morewhen we noticed at the store that the puppy was coughing and hacking, they were honest enough to admit that he did have a cough and described it as mild. Calvin was also friendly during the process and helped us get the puppy we wanted, which I appreciated. That being said, when you purchase a new puppy, especially for the amount these dogs cost, you expect the animal to be healthy, properly cared for, and ready for a new home. Unfortunately, after a month, my puppy is still coughing and hacking despite already going through 2 courses of antibiotics and 2 courses of steroids, we have been back and forth in vet clinic. Recently he also started having bowel irritation with mild blood in his stool, which has been stressful and concerning as a new owner. I do appreciate that they have communicated with my girlfriend from time to time regarding updates and concerns, and I also want to give credit to Flamingo Pet Clinic for helping care for him throughout this process. However, one thing that bothered me was that I was the one who paid for the dog in cash, yet most direct responses were not given to me and communication mainly went through my girlfriend instead. At this point, this situation will not be taken lightly. We love this puppy and are doing everything we can to help him recover, but no new owner should have to deal with ongoing medical concerns shortly after bringing home a new puppy. I truly hope he fully recovers, and I will continue updating this review depending on how things progress. If these health issues continue unresolved, I'm considering next steps regarding this situation.
