I really wanted to love this place. Groomer has it was highly recommended by friends. I decided to try them bc they were a little cheaper than the other groomer I used the first time on my doodle. When I first made the appointment everyone was very friendly and nice. But today when I went in for the appointment the lady behind the counter was very rude and unpleasant . I think it was because everyone arrived at the same time and she was trying to check everyone in. Anyhow it had sounded like the groomer had done many doodle cuts before so I wasn't worried. But when I saw my dogs cut I didn't understand why they had to accentuate her butt hole. My dog has never had feces stuck to her before. Why did they have to trim that area so short and so noticeable. It looks awful. Not sure if I'll use them next time. Thank goodness it's only hair and it will grow back. read more

I will not bring my dog back here again and I will make sure I tell people what kind of unprofessional care their pet most likely may potentially get there if they are looking for exceptional care and know what treatment mine received there. He's done nothing but scratched at his right ear, whining, shaking his head since that evening and most likely from reading on the behavior he was exhibiting after his grooming visit, it is potentially due to water getting in his ears and at home he is never around water, except his drinking bowl, we do not go to dog parks and he is an inside house family pet member only. Only let outside to use the potty and right back in. Specifically with his breed with tall open ears it's vital to know proper animal care especially when being groomed which is why this was such an important decision whom we trusted to care for him his 2nd time being groomed and whom we requested for him to be with when making his appt.. if water gets in their ears it can be extremely dangerous for that breed and lead to inner ear infections so thank you for this added trip to the vets office to verify IF it is from recent water being introduced into the ear and an actual ear infection since it's only gotten worse since his grooming visit and needs to be treated. On top of I specifically asked for Lara and he was put with someone else despite my repeating more than once I wanted her specifically for his appt as he has only gone 1 time ever to the groomer with her and the gal who he was changed to last minute without any consideration to us as pet parents, did a terrible job on him. You think because he is a dog we don't get the right to decide if it's even ok to be changed with some one else and disregard who we asked for?? Unacceptable!! We knew how he was treated with her and to change him without even mentioning it when he was brought in very unprofessional or caring of them as a feeling being who already gets stressed away from their owners.. How would anyone feel if they dropped off their child with some one they trusted to be there and come back and find out they were not cared for like the time prior and was left with some one else that whole time causing undue stress to them and possibly trauma for future visits???? He has a very thick coat and I could tell he was not brushed well AT ALL.. still very heavy hind legs, shedding terribly from the minute I picked him up His nails were done poorly. Some long corners, jagged, and sharp, when I paid for the extra fee for them to be buffed and rounded, by a professional to avoid my grand babies being scratched by sharp edges so would expect them to be fine to expectation as I paid additional for that He smelled very musty and definitely not fresh and clean unlike the time Lara took care of him he smelled clean fresh and definitely took her time brushing him as hardly no hair came off him when I picked him up. The gal whom he was put with obviously rushed and cut performance standards by not even taking the time that he received from Lara the first time. Calling me entirely too early for the services and care package he was to receive and to come pick him up. I even said something when I picked him up as to why he was switched to another groomer only for the front desk person to say it happens. Apparently to some it doesn't matter about the care and time spent with my pet as a priority and most importantly ensuring he is taken proper care of!! or specifically whom I asked for thatI felt he was in good hands with as I know exactly how he was cared for that very first visit Whomever is the manager of this place, needs to monitor how the groomers are taking care of people pets. As pet owners we trust places to care for our babies like we would. You lost a customer and word of mouth about how a family member is treated and neglecting a request as to whom you want your pet with. And again very upset having to take him to the vet for an expensive and stressful vet visit for not only my poor baby but myself observing each day after this appt of his agitation, seeing him showing progressive signs of ear discomfort since his visit. Very costly and upsetting!! Something he or we should NOT have to deal with or put him through truces because he was left in the hands of somebody that we did not request!!! and will be sharing my concerns with others so they can decide for themselves and make their own decision for where they should go for their grooming services for their babies read more

This is our 4th or 5th time with Groomer has it. I want to start by saying the main reason I continue coming back to Groomer Has It is because my dogs seem so happy every time I pick them up. Their happiness really matters to me. That being said, I've had a couple of disappointing experiences that I wanted to share. During my first visit my dog's ear hair--which I had been growing out for seven years--was cut without my request after I text them pictures of my dogs ears. They wrote on the card don't touch his ears.7 years. I was told it was due to matting, which I understood, but it was still frustrating. Despite that, I returned because of how happy and well-treated my dogs seemed. I should have walked away then. Most recently, something similar happened with my girl dog, Luna. She only ever gets a bath and tidy because I've been intentionally growing out her hair and tail hair since she was born. She's now three, and at our last appointment, her tail hair was cut without me asking for it. I never request any haircuts for her, so it was really disappointing to see that done. it takes a long time to grow out your dog's hair in a specific style you like, only for it to be unexpectedly trimmed. I hope in the future, extra care can be taken to follow exactly what's requested. For these reasons I will be taking my dogs to a new groomer. I can't risk the unexpected when it comes to my babies. read more

I'm very happy to have found this place! I had left my My 2yo Maltipoo with anxiety from myself as well as her, because she has been traumatized by a previous groomer, and it's been a real struggle ever since to find a place we can be comfortable with. I truly had lost hope of finding a place that could understand her emotions as well as groom her the way she needs. UNTIL TODAY! After our first visit today, I believe that Shannon is our new groomer for our little 10lb beast! She took the time to listen to my concerns and needs, and to understand my dog. She did what we agreed to, and that right there was great as that's not always the case. When I arrived to pick my dog up, she wasn't caged (which has caused her more anxiety,) and instead was in their "waiting room" which was so heart warming to see! Instead of her usual body language being " how dare you to have left me here, and I'm angry" she was generally happy to see me and didn't seem mad at me. If you have dogs? You get what that looks like! The whole staff was friendly and helpful and understanding of what you're saying and needing. This is the first time I've left a groomer that didn't think she was a beast? So now we may have to change her nickname haha I had tears over leaving her, but tears of joy when I picked her up as I could tell that the groomer meant it when she told me she wasn't as bad as I described! I could tell just in my dogs body language and expressions that she felt the same on her end too! I hope this will continue to grow into a good relationship and that grooming can be something we all can be comfortable with from this point forward! I really really hate to do this . But I'm just so Sad about it... after growing my dogs ears out a bit from his last haircut , I decided to find another groomer. When I dropped him off I explained I wanted him round. Round head round nose , just round. I got a call saying he had tangles on his body and they wanted to go a little shorter. I said ok, but his head will still be round right ? And his legs long and cylinder like ? She said yes, just the body, I said go for it . What I picked up was NOT what I wanted, his nose is shaved, his mouth isn't round at all. They shaved the top and the bottom so low I can see his pink skin . His tail is even shaved and there's some strange poof at the tip of. I explained to just trim it . :( I think this may of been done in a rush . As I was told it's holiday season and to please pick up asap after they call. Please listen to your clients ... I won't say who did this because that's not my style... but I am devastated , especially after waiting so long to grow his hair out . I feel like I paid $80 to have my dog butchered :( A bichon cut is specific. Next time I will make sure to ask for an experienced groomer familiar with bichon cuts if I decide to bring him back . The Customer service was great. And my other dog came out beautifully. So probably just a lack of experience and listening is all . read more

I cannot believe what happened to my sweet Ginger at Erin's grooming shop. I had high hopes for this place since it's so close to home, but I regret trusting them with my baby. Ginger has a small, harmless skin tag on her neck that's been there for years. We've been to multiple groomers before, and no one has ever had an issue with it. When I dropped her off, I specifically told them to be careful. After waiting for hours, I finally picked up Ginger, only to find her bleeding from the back of her neck. Turns out her skin tag was carelessly cut during the groom, and she was still actively bleeding when I took her home! I was horrified. I immediately called the shop, expecting some kind of compassion or at least an explanation. But instead of being sorry, they brushed it off. First, they tried blaming the blow dryer, then the comb, and finally tried to tell me that my dog already had a scab and it "just fell off" during the bath. That doesn't make any sense because she didn't have a scab prior to bringing her in, and if she did it shouldn't have been bleeding as much as it did just from a bath. Basically they refused to take any responsibility. I was furious! Ginger was clearly in pain, and they didn't even apologize. To make things worse, my vet had me bring her in on a Sunday to help prevent infection since they didn't even bother to clean her wound, and Erin refused to take any responsibility. I asked her to at least refund the grooming, or help with the vet bills I'm now facing, but she didn't care. She actually said I should handle it with the bank because she wouldn't refund it and take responsibility for their actions. This is the kind of place this is: she will hurt your dog and refuse to take any responsibility. Please don't bring your pets here. Erin and her team don't care about the animals they work with, and their lack of empathy and accountability is shocking. Ginger deserved better, and so does your pet. read more

The only drawback was the deshedding. I have had Thor groomed regularly. With the weather change he is shedding profusely. That, I wish had been better. My boyfriend has been taking his dog here for quite some time and he has always said that they take care of Snow the best. She is a rescue dog that we assume is a lab and flat coat retriever mix. They do very well with her undercoat and she's always so cute and happy after her grooming. They listen to never shave her and never touch her tail. Our other dog, Ash, is also a rescue that we assume is a chihuahua and jack russell mix. He's still a puppy and received his first grooming ever on Saturday with his sister. He came back soft, smelling good, and fur fresh. Only thing is that they sent him back with a pink bandana and he rightly objected to being mistaken as a girl by ripping it off lol. The dogs were so well taken care of I couldn't justify even taking a half star off for the mix up in gender. I live on the SW side of town and my boyfriend lives 10min from here. I thought by the stars I found a good groomer but today "before", dropping off my dog I explained I had a hair appointment and didn't know when I'd be done exactly. The gal at the front desk just got done telling the man in front of me that his dog should be by 3 and he mentioned he had to be at work by 4 pm and she said it should be done. I got a call at 2pm saying my dog was ready and I w planned I was not done yet. The women said I had to pick him up and I said I was told no problem do time and the man in front of my was told his dog would be done around 3pm. They called again and said I'd be charged $20.00 and I said I wxplained the man in front of me was told his dog wouldn't be done tell 3 and that my time was not an issue. When I got there at 3:20 the gal held my dog hostage and said I owed her twenty dollars more. I usually tip that much if I like the cut but she was demanding and said she knew what was said and I said you weren't the one I talked to and I'm going by what she told me and what was told to the man in front of me. She would not relent and held my dog hostage. I gave her the money and will never go back. She could have it for a tip but her attitude was terrible and Lake knew her girl gave me the wrong info and the man before me. She actually said it wasn't even her receptionist! How do I know that? Bad and sad experience. PS. She had to pull the sign saying there was a late fee for a certain amount of hours out from behind a thing of pens or something. It was not placed in clear sight and for that matter if you ask a question like I did before hand your employees should give a proper answer. When I got a call at 2pm I had foils in my hair and was under a dryer. I had no way of picking up the dog earlier than discussed with the receptionist.
