Typically the wait is pretty short when I let them know I have arrived but there has been a couple of times the wait has been a bit longer. I just went into this pet smart at around 8:50 on 5/19 and was immediately approached by two employees telling us that they were closing in a few minutes. No problem I totally understand. I only wanted to check out the harnesses for my dog and then leave. I quickly saw that they did not have the harness that I wanted so we started leaving at 8:59 to be respectful of what they told us. I did have my two dogs with us for added context. We get right outside the doors and this woman who works there comes outside and says "Is he wearing one of our harnesses?" Inferencing that myself or my friend had STOLEN a harness. We told her no and that if she was insisting that we had stolen something that she could go back and watch the cameras. She mumbled that she would and walked back in the store. I am quite honestly just shocked that she had the gall to do that. Not only were we respectful of the time that the store was closing but we absolutely did not steal a harness. He was wearing the same one that he came in with which was clearly old and not even the same color as any available in the store! I'm really hoping that this employee was not a manager because I would be seriously disappointed that someone with that kind of attitude would be allowed to run a store. Do better in selecting who you want to represent your stores. Because I certainly will not be returning there to possibly be met with a confrontation after spending a total of 9 minutes in the store. read more

I took my dog to the PetSmart grooming at 14281 E Sam Houston Pkwy N for the Base Bath & Brush package. I was told it would take 1-1.5 hours, but they called me to pick him up after just 28 minutes. His nails were uneven, and he didn't smell or feel like he'd been properly bathed or dried. When I called the next day, the manager admitted he got a "light" bath and offered to redo it. I declined. This isn't the first bad experience--last time it took two groomers just to trim his nails, which has never happened elsewhere. I do not believe the staff is properly trained. Long story short, I've made the appointments for my two dogs on Thursday 11th to get in on Monday at 11.30am. I've been taken my pups here to get groomed for little over a year, so we are familiar to how everything 'works'. I always drop them off 10-15 minutes early because of course I don't want to be late to the appointments. I understand that they're sometimes busy, and can tell they're always short on staffs. Sometimes, they're overbooked themselves. I got booked with the groomer named Jessica today. She greeted us with an attitude. She asked us to leave and come back exactly at 11.30am and can't be later than 5 minutes. Otherwise, the appointments will be automatically canceled! I have never experienced that kind of service or energy from anyone since I ever used Petsmart grooming service. They always greet my pets by their names! But not Jessica! She was probably not in a good mood today that I can tell. So there was words coming from both parties and it wasn't ending well. If you want to receive a nice and positive energy, you gotta deliver it first, Jessica. They're just not animals. They're my kids. Fast forward, I've been patiently waiting for a call to tell me if they're ready to get picked up around 3.30pm, so I made the initial call. When I get there, my two dogs DIDN'T get anything service done. They were just bath, but no grooming yet for 4 HOURS!! They hold my dogs for 4 freaking hours in the cages or on leash!!! That's straight up animal abuse!! I understand there was thing happened between me and Jessica because of her ugly attitude, but they're just dogs you know. They can't speak or help themselves in situation like this. You don't deserve to get any customers, Jessica. Please do not ever come near anyone's dogs if you don't have the love for them at the first place. I hope the guilt eats your dang gut! I do not even like how the groomers called other people's dogs 'sir and m'am. I do not accept and get that. If you cut someone's dogs, better learn to remember their names! That's not hard. That's how you to calm them down. I recommend everyone to go to Rokos to get groomed!!! They're the best!! Your pets will want to go there to get pampered and would not wanna go home. I ordered over $400 worth of dog food from Petsmart under their "Ship To Me" option. The order was for 20 boxes of Nulo Dog Stews, with each box holding 12 servings. I did not choose "Same Day Delivery". I received several emails showing everything coming to me via DoorDash, from multiple local stores versus 1 shipment from a warehouse, etc. Now several orders are out for delivery to my work, which is closed today (Sunday) and with DoorDash marked as "leave at my door". WHAT?!?!?! A huge company like PetSmart is using DoorDash to deliver orders even when you choose their "Ship To Me"option AND PetSmart is telling DoorDash to leave at my door? THIS IS WRONG!!! No tips to the DoorDash drivers. No option to have delivered inside the address. No options. I attempted to cancel the order as soon as I saw the 1st email come through showing same day delivery but customer service at PetSmart could care less. read more

Our Pets are very Smart, so we totally understand the name of this store. We like this PetSmart we have in the Northwest near Kingwood. It had all the things that we needed and we appreciated it. We will probably be back here next time we are up in the Northeast, because it's better than a lot of the PetSmarts in the city. But at the same time they still have that very depressing element, with beautiful cats looking for homes, which breaks my heart and I can't even look at them. And they charge quite a bit for an adoption, more than no kill shelters do directly. read more

I took my Shitzu puppy here to get a trim on her face and body. All I wanted to be done to my puppy was a trip and shape her face and her body. Her hair was pretty long and just wanted to even it out at the bottom. Instead they completely cut her hair off with the clippers. I didn't ask to use clippers. I wanted just to get her hair trimmed with scissors and shaped. Her face was completely shaved off. They tried to leave a pony tail on top but half of her right side on top looks like they ran the clippers across her head. Honestly it doesn't seem like they know what they are doing here. I will never be returning for grooming service here! I would much rather go to petco down the road. They have done a great job on my cocker spaniel. I just thought I would give PetSmart a chance but they proved me right to never get somewhere else. Now my puppy has to grow her hair out and for her face hair to grow but it won't grow evenly as she is shaved off here and there. read more

we have had 2 grooming services at this Pet Smart and this review is based on our most recent visit. I booked a grooming appointment via the Pet Smart app for 7:00 pm on 23 Aug 2019. The store was scheduled to close at 9:00 pm so we assumed that we would need to pick them up no later than that time. We went back to the store at 9:00 pm only to be told that the groomer needed another 10 minutes because they had a lot of walk-ins. HUH? so, what's the point of booking an appointment if the groomers accepted and prioritized walk-ins? I get that the groomers will need to accept walk-ins because they are required to boost sales, but shouldn't they be prioritizing the clients that booked appointments? After all, the customers who booked appointments are the ones who are working around Pet Smart's schedule based on the availability given on the website. We went back after 10 minutes, but my both puppers were still damp. We could no longer wait for the groomer to finish up so we just took our puppers and walked out the store. We are not asking for special treatment, just fair treatment. If the customers walking in can just disrupt the booked appointments resulting in us needing to wait, then that isn't fair, that isn't good customer service and there really is no point of booking an appointment. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I took my dog in for a bath and a quick face trim. I was checked in by Rebecca, who told me I had to buy a $10 package that included a face trim, and paw and sanitary trim. I don't care about the $10, but the paw and sanitary trim is supposed to be included with every bath anyway, so it seems kinda shady but whatever. 2 hours and 45 minutes later, I called to ask about my dog because a bath has never taken more than 90 minutes. The person that answered the phone asked someone else in the salon how long it would be, and then said another hour. When I said no I wasn't waiting another hour, just dry my dog and I'd come get her, some nasty chick, I believe her name was Theresa, got on the phone and snapped at me telling me that it's standard for the appointment to be 4 hours. I said no it isn't, a bath has never taken more than 90 minutes, and a full haircut (which includes a bath) has never taken more than 2 and a half hours, she again for real snotty with me and argued that it was a 4 hour appointment. So I told her I was on the way to get my dog, and I expected her ready to go and I wanted to speak to a manager when I got there, she just laughed at me and hung up. On the way, I called and asked for a manager. I was on hold for several minutes before some woman got in the phone. I told her what happened and and that I was on the way to get my dog. When I got there, and got my dog the "manager" just said here you go sir, I'll call you tomorrow. Not an apology or nothing. She didn't give a damn that I was lied to, upsold, and then had my time wasted. No since of urgency from their salon workers, no accountability, and no f--- given. I'm going to be lighting up their customer service and corporate office until someone above the store level addresses this to my satisfaction and can come up with a good reason I should continue to spend around $200 per month on ONE DOG at PetSmart. read more

I would not recommend this location for getting your dog groom I brought my dog on December 2 had an appointment set waited over 45 minutes to be checked in they finally took my dog and then contacted me back to retrieve the dog stating she was too hyper I will have to come back another day reschedule appointment for express service .. I did not even two weeks later that appointment was canceled by Petsmart stating no groomers came back the next week was told "oh my dog was too matted we"re not gonna be able to the groom her " ALEJANDRA was very unprofessional and rude you can tell she did not even want to groom the dog from the beginning the second time I finally came back when she went to get a comb she was petting the other dogs on table as if " I can ignore her she doesn't matter I would never come back " . Everyone here is very friendly! I've taken my 3 pups to the groomers over there for their nail clippings. This last time, I took my Westie pup for a nice hair cut and he came out looking so sharp! Upon booking my appointment i was never informed that I would need to bring in paperwork showing proof of rabies vaccine. I was here a month ago for a groom and they never told me I needed to bring in paperwork showing proof of rabies vaccine. I drove 45 min to bring my puppy to this location for a groom and the employee was completely rude to me ... refused to see my puppy because I didn't have paperwork, even though my puppy has his rabies tag right there on his collar saying that he has been vaccinated, she said it didn't matter.
