Had a puppy that was a little "skiddish" and not great around strangers. Jackie knew this going in…read moreand coordinated a time with us when she could just work on her. Jackie wasn't afraid of her at all and just did her job, basically letting our dog know she wasn't taking any of her stuff! Now after SEVERAL trips to see her and the training we've done, she's a different dog and Jackie said she's perfect to work on. I do believe some people just have a certain bond with animals and Jackie certainly is one of them. Always been a top notch experience and would much rather bring a beloved pet here where they will get personal love and attention rather than one of those "big box" stores. Her prices are competitive and she even offers discounts for referrals and the like. She also hand crafts little bows and such and coordinates them with the season which is cute (Halloween bows, Valentine's Day bows, etc). She asks you every time exactly what you want done and how you want it and she delivers exactly that. Can't say enough good things about Jackie and see us bringing our dog there for a long, long time!

We sent our two cats to be groomed. One cat is okay with going places and the other can be skittish…read moreso we took precautions about that. We had an appointment set for a certain time and two hours into it we called and asked about the progress. We were told that they hadn't been started. The other person said that they were almost done with the one. So who knows what the progress had been at that point. To get our skittish cat to be more relaxed we gave him anxiety medicine. By the time he was getting done his medicine had worn off. We were told he was 'very angry' and that they were waiting to do him to get used to his surroundings. If they had been started on time and not hours later, this wouldn't have been an issue. Even though we know our animals we were told that medicine can make them more aggressive (it relaxes him actually). So we waited to hear they were done. We had already made it clear that this wasn't his favorite thing to do and waiting until his medicine had worn off was not the thing to do. When asked what cut we wanted for the cats we were told that they could do anything and that the two cuts we asked for (lion and teddy bear cut) were doable. Both cats came back with a lion cut and a lion cut without the mane. We were told that we were told that cats can't have teddy bear cuts, which wasn't what happened. When we went to pick up our cats the owner's cat attacked her leg while she was holding our cat's carrier. Our cats acted off when we got home and we wondered if it had anything to do with their personal pets being around in the store after seeing the owner's cat go after her. We examined our cats when they went home and noticed the friendly one had bald spots on her. The skittish one had one front foot that had been trimmed and the other front one that hadn't. We went back to talk about it. For the mismatched feet we were told that he was difficult and that we should be happy that it had been that. We were offered to bring him back in so his feet could be even, but if we had been listened to in the first place it would have turned out fine. When asked about the friendly cat we were told that she was hard to do and that her bald spots seemed to be a skin condition (nope) or she had been in a fight (owned them since a kitten, so no fighting there). When confronted about issues we were given answers that may have worked if we weren't the owner. We weren't trying to gain a free grooming or any of the such, we were trying to figure out why our cats were acting off. My family felt that grooming session wasn't worth the price and when confronted with issues we weren't really given adequate responses. We try to support small businesses, but we can't turn a blind eye when we see something wrong. We feel as if we had been listened to (since we deal with these animals day to day) that the experience would have been better. We'd used this groomer before and were happy with the experience. But it seems to be under new management. The next time we get our cats groomed we will be going elsewhere.
