The parking lot was packed and the traffic to get in and out was horrendous, but it's located in a mall and it's the holidays...I was looking for chicken hearts and not having dogs or frequent this store I found the staff not helpful or even very nice when I asked a question. I was told to look over 3 isles to find what was looking for. Couldn't find it. They had one cashier and a long line, so maybe it was a short staffed day there, still, customer service is a must. They have animal services and some cats to adopt out. They have a nice array of outfits for pets etc but are lacking in the treat department and again, customer service. read more

Allie is terrible with customer service. her dog grooming skills are good but she should probably not be customer facing as she is rude without cause. we were there to pick up our dog and she did not just suggest we leave while she finishes up but she told us "go up to the front to pay, where she can't see you". this is our animal and we are paying for a service for you to perform, do not advise us where to stand if we are behind your counter just wanting to pay as it is our first time getting our dog groomed there and we were beyond polite. read more

Three weeks ago I scheduled for my dog to be groomed, today they call me one hour before my appointment and rudely tell me that they can not service my dog because the groomer is not coming in and they will not be able to help me for probably another month and to call the other locations f I want to get in. I called and they were all booked out. I called a small grooming shop in town and they got me in today. My dog has been needing a groom for awhile and I was kind of ticked I had to wait almost a month to get her groomed and the day of they cancel and are rude. So I will not be using PetSmart grooming or be shopping there ever again. read more

Pretty good store overall. Like all Petsmart stores a little pricey. Decent selection, but if you're getting budget food like Sheba cat food, go to meijer it's cheaper. 59 cent VS 79 cent. You tell me? do the math. Priced decent on Purina products overall. They got a PetSmart brand for cats and dogs that's suppose to be pretty decent. Dog and Kitty sweaters, clothing, halloween costumes , all kinds of stuff really. Really old ladies would love to frequent this store to look around and look for them clearance items and those hard to find items for Dog or Cat that they insist on. Lots of items for toys (Although expensive). Dog and Cat shampoos, scratching post (pricey) all kinds of stuff really. Personally I would get a cardboard box and some tape and make my own kitty perch. Hey that's just me though. Old ladies be loving this place. Good place if you got a Dog or Cat prescription and need to come to this location to get it. read more

We have taken our dogs to be groomed at this Petsmart location three times, all three appointments were at 7AM. The first visit the groomer didn't show until 7:10, which was no biggie, although would make me a little late to work. Our dog was to be done at 10 AM or 11 AM, but wasn't ready until 12:00. The second time was the same thing dog was supposed to be ready at 10 or 11 again, but got no call so checked at noon & was told they were running behind - dog was ready at 2:30 PM But the grooming part turned out ok, so I didn't complain. I do think they were fairly pricey. The third time we were running late by 1 1/2 hours (got there at 8:30 AM) & found out they canceled our appointment after 1/2 hour late, there were also no times available to reschedule, if there was a cancellation they said they would let us know. We were going on vacation the following week so this really put us on spot. Where this rubs me the wrong way is that we had to rearrange our schedules on the first two visits by HOURS, but they couldn't return the favor! Probably corporate policy. But I guess I thought they could have done something more to accomodate us. Bottom line grooming was OK, if expensive. We won't go back to or recommend due to poor customer service in my opinion. read more

This is THE Petsmart. The great thing about Petsmart is the variety you can find - due to it being a chain store. They are always well stocked in their selections as well. The Apple Glen location offers great service, staff that seems to enjoy their jobs and really like animals. I tried 3 other grooming salons and this was by far the best value for your dollar. The staff there is great. They knew my dog by name every time we came in for grooming, and would give her lots of love and affection. I am sure all their staff is great, but Liz is by far the most amazing! I would highly recommend requesting her if you are picky at all about getting a great cut. When she cut my dog, it was always done well and I could go longer between grooming appointments. I don't know how she does it, but GREAT JOB! P.S. They always use great shampoos that leave your dog smelling good for a while after the appointments. read more

This store is great! Everything might be a little more expensive, but that's just better quality. The employees know a ton, and are very helpful. Im always greeted with a smile, and a "may I help you find anything". Just bought some blood parrot Cichlid's form there today. :) read more

I took my Havanese to be groomed, and I took written instructions to not cut one hair on her tail from base to tip. First thing that went wrong...I never received a text saying she was ready to be picked up. I received an EMAIL. If I had not checked my emails, she'd probably still be there. Second, and most importantly, a portion of her long, beautiful tail HAD been cut. I took photos, went back to PetSmart that same day, and the manager (?) of the grooming salon said it wasn't cut. I sent the same photos to my sister and brother-in-law who own a grooming salon in another state, and they said the hair had been cut. I did receive my money back, but the damage had already been done. The new staff is suffering from artistic-itis. It used to be a great place to have your pet groomed. Now I wouldn't take my dog within 50 ft of the place. read more

We took our pugs there to have their nails trimmed and anal glands expressed. They took them in the back to do the anal glands and I don't think they even did anything. They trimmed the nails in front of us, but I don't think they even took anything off. We ended up going home and trimming them ourselves. What a waste of money. read more

I took my mini Poodle to be groomed, and I had instructions on file (I used to go to the Petsmart in Bloomington) that they confirmed with me at the time of drop off, however when I picked my dog up, not one of the instructions were followed (i.e. don't cut his tail fur, teddy bear shape for the head fur, etc.). My dog was also cut very low and unevenly. For them to be so pricey, I would've thought they'd do a better job. I'll definitely have to find another groomer. read more

BEWARE OF BUYING SMALL ANIMALS HERE! I bought 2 pet mice there for my daughter. They say they only sell females but a cpl weeks later there were babies in my cage. I called they said there was a mix up and there was accidently a male there. They took my mouse back for a few weeks to make sure the babies were taken care of then i got my mouse back. A couple weeks go by and there's babies in my cage. I call them obviously they didn't give me just females. I call the store and speak with a manager and i have questions and asking for options. Her only response was we helped the first time as a courtesy but there's nothing we can do for you. I said you obviously didn't sell me what you said you did and i don't want 100 mice so take them back and she said no. They refuse to help me w the problem they sold me. I called petco and pet warehouse both were willing to take them in and help me out even though they had nothing to do with starting the problem. They've lost my business and i will never recommend them. read more

Took my dog today for basic bath and they would not give her a bath because they told me her shot were due the day before appointment!! I drove 40 min to this appointment and had plans for while she was supposed to be at groomer. I couldn't believe they would not take her because her vaccines were only one day late absolutely unreal!!! This is the second time they have turned me away. the first experience I was 15 minutes late I called and told them I was on the way and once I got there they would not take her because their policy was if you're 15 minutes late they won't see you. the girl that was supposed to groom her tried talking to corporate by telling them she had plenty of time to groom her but they still said no, again I drove 40 minutes to that appointment had to turn around and go home without my dog getting a bath. Plus I was hoping they would return the favor because when I have taken my dog there in the past they told me she would be done at a certain time and she wasn't done til way later than the time they told me she would be done!! I will never shop at Petsmart again or take any of my dogs to get groomed they have lost my business forever!!! read more

Avoid this PetSmart! Go to the Lima Road location! Every time I go to this petsmart the checkout line is at least a 15 minute wait. Every so often the one lane that is open will call for assistance to add another register but rarely does help come and if it does it's after 5-10 minutes. Not to mention their staff isn't very knowledgeable what so ever about the animals they sell. The staff at the Lima location is far superior. read more

Management at PetSmart refused to honor the prescription for Hill's C/D Cat Food from a local reputable Veterinary Hospital in Southwest Fort Wayne. A copy of the prescription for my 12 year old Persian, who has been eating this food for many years was not acceptable to the store. I contacted the Vet and told them. They suggested I return to the store and they would talk to the Store Manager. He told the Vet staff on the phone and my daughter who was at the vet that they would not accept the word of the Vet or their prescription. They can only use their in-house vet's prescription. This is absurd! I have purchased this exact food at PetSmart before and was listed in their system, but if I could not produce a card from their in-house Vet, then I could not purchase the cat food. This seems so ridiculous and I will never buy my dog's food here either after this mess. I came there to get the $67 bag because the vet only had smaller bags. I will only ever buy from my Vet. I will never shop at PetSmart again! This is a stupid policy. The Vet in Aboite has been in business for decades and highly respected in our community. Shame on PetSmart for their foolish policies!!!! read more

I have taken my dogs to this store for six years. Bobbie in the Grooming Center is the best you will find in the area. Not only is she excellent with grooming, she remembers your pet, its personality and special needs, and treats them as if they were her own. You cannot go wrong with her. I worked for a dog groomer a few years back, but recently moved and took my Great Dane pup in to get her nails painted. The girls were all really nice and they gave her a complimentary spritz with perfume before we left, but the nail job was really slacking. I watched while they did the painting and they were very good with my dog, but didn't give the polish time to dry. They also didn't apply enough coats. Therefore, by the time we got to the car, it was already smudged and smeared off. My dog sat very still the whole time. In terms of customer service, the girls were very very nice and answered my questions honestly (I wanted to know if human polish was ok and they said as long as she didn't lick it, that was what they used at home). The actual service was really slacking. From 4 feet away, you can see the imperfections. In the future, I'll just do this service myself, since I'll likely be re-doing this one anyway. read more
