My family and I have been frequenting this PetSmart whenever I had my pets a long time ago. And currently, my boyfriend and I come here often as we visit Banfield for vet visits and we grab any other pet needs here such as toys, treats, and dental water. The staff here are always friendly, helpful and sweet to our fur babies. We love that they have events to celebrate holidays, birthdays and much more! Their reward program is worth enrolling in as you get rewards pretty easily, even if you don't shop that often which is great. The store is usually well stocked, clean and organized well. The lighting in there is great too! So glad to have this PetSmart near us and look forward to all future visits. read more

Tried to get my dogs in for grooming, they took one dog and did an amazing job but the other dog was not up to date on shots, Understandable!! Later that day we got an appointment for shots at the vet, we got a new appointment for grooming the next day. We thought everything was good to go got turned down again over another loophole of PetSmart was not okay with. We try to do the right thing and then get pushed around through loophole after loophole. PetSmart has just lost my business!!! read more

I have never had bass service but today I took my dog Sofie a golden doodle in-i asked for them to cut her the same as last time-she came out shaved with deep shaved pockets on her legs and several knocks on her tummy I paid as I always due having not seen her -when she came out we were shocked but we still tipped because we always do-my other dog was also groomed and looked great. They told us she was difficult which i have never been told before although she doesn't like being kenneled and will bark the whole time-i gave her a trazadone before taking her to help keep her calm for them-in the pictures I will share her picture from her last hair cut and what i asked for and the rest will be what she was today-but obviously they same number of cut was not done!! read more

Went to PetSmart at Pacific Hwy. S ,Federal Way to get my two furballs harnesses and, check out the fishies. Store was well stocked and clean. Store had some good sales, prices are average. Love that they have a Groomers Services, Training Classes and Veterinary Services within PetSmart. Had two Store Associates come up to me and asked if I was finding everything alright. Cashier was quick at check out and friendly. Always love when I can bring my pups with me. read more

Not for dog grooming, no. The store is nice for pet supplies although expensive unless you find sales? They do have a good variety of food for dogs.. including prescription diet foods, and raw foods, and organic. Grooming- not the best experience at all... They had my dog a total of 10-15 minutes. They barely cut her nails, and shaved her face and half her eyelashes on one eye were gone and all her eyelashes on the other eye were cut, but uneven. She's a mini schnauzer and is suppose to have longer eye lashes. I found a better groomer, an amazing groomer after leaving PetSmart (got her in 2 days later and barely medicated) in Auburn! A groomer who was able do everything! She has 18 years experience and I'm taking my dog back to her.. those groomers at Pet Smart go too fast and it's messy there, loud, and not a nice environment! No place to sit, uncomfortable setting! I didn't like it! Ugh!! I don't recommend taking you dog to PetSmart in Federal Way. I have heard that the Puyallup store is better..but have never been there yet. ?? The day I went to Petsmart, they told me they could get my dog in after I told them she needed a bath and mainly her face trimmed up and ears, and nails. There was a gal able to get some of it done, but not evenly at all!-Plus they fibbed to me over the phone - said they could get her in for a quick bath, and they wouldn't even finish what they started with my dog?! She looked ridiculous coming out of there!~ I called & needed her groomed asap bc my dog was medicated for an appointment early that day but the original groomer I was going to take her to at a Vet Hospital was out w/ Covid & her other original groomer was also out all week, and booked completely, so this is why I called to get her in somewhere else. They shouldn't have told me they couldn't bathe her.. or that they were going to just grab her and start shaving! They cut her nails a little bit, but not much. They basically charged me $30 for 10 minutes of messing her up even worse. They didn't even grind her nails either; just a couple small clips which I could have done myself! That's supposed to come with the the price anyways of the grooming! I'd rather pay $90 plus a $20 tip for the full meal deal than throw away $30 for nothing. They have pretty much anything you could need for your pet! They have their own medical clinic for pets, grooming and dog training classes! Heck you can even make keys here they have a machine onsite to copy keys. They have pets to adopt, fish to buy. I came today for cat liter and a new cat box. Seems reasonably priced. I usually buy the liter online but I needed some right away. They always seem to have a line when I come and only one cashier working. read more

Last week I made an appointment to have my 5 month old Maltipoo groomed at the Federal Way PetSmart. They offer a lower priced promotion for puppies up to 5 months old. Her name is Layla and she had been to the salon twice before for baths and face grooming. When I arrived at the store a groomer named "Sky" told me that grooming, including a haircut was not recommended for puppies up to 5 months old. This is a direct contradiction to the written promotion offered by the company, and basically a type of "bait and switch" scheme. She provided several excuses, such as "she has to get used to the salon first" and "she might become aggressive". Both excuses are baseless. She had been there twice already and she is a very gentle dog. She said that she would still do it if I insisted, but given her attitude, I do not trust her. I doubt that I will go back and I'm looking for another groomer. read more

The WORST grooming place with the rudest workers. They tell you ONE price and then when you pick up your animal all of a sudden the price jumps up 30,40$. claim they got the "okay" for the upcharge which they NEVER did and then want to make snarky comments like "maybe if you brushed your dog more" I think it's very unprofessional for you to tell a customer one set price after I specifically said I did NOT want to pay over 100$ for a haircut on an animal, you said that it would be no more than said price and then to not mention any possible up charge fee's only to charge the fee's in the end. They have always evaluated our dogs and given us a heads up PRIOR to ever starting on any of our animals and we have gone here for years. Now with all these new people they have the audacity to lie to you. It's also unprofessional to claim you got the okay on doing a specific service for two separate charges when you had already DONE that service before even calling to get the okay. There is no way you can do 45 minutes worth of " extra brushing " within 25 minutes of being done with the entire service. overall HORRIBLE service, customer service and the MANAGER is very unprofessional as well. I will SURELY take my business elsewhere since it seems they are money hungry and do not care about the needs of their customers. DO NOT GO TO SKY L. As she will lie to your face about how much it's really going to cost for your grooming appointment and make unnecessary rude comments about your pet. Unsure how to leave a review for the groomers inside of this PetSmart so I hope this finds them well. My dog is 4 and I've taken him to groomers everywhere in Seattle, Bellevue and Renton. I recently brought him to the PetSmart groomer here in federal way and it's the best cut he's ever gotten! I mean look at him he's so freakin cute. I live in Seattle so it's a long drive to federal way but this was definitely worth it and I'd be happy to go back. The staff was friendly and my dog liked them. I also didn't have to wait super long until my dog was finished - he had the coconut spaw plus on top of a bath and cut so he had a lot of extras but still cheaper than any place I've paid for in Seattle. Really just look at how precise the cut is and the groomer did exactly what I asked for. I couldn't be happier and I can't get over how handsome my dog looks!! read more

I came there today to purchase my cat's prescription food while i was in the area for some errands. The first impression through the door was that the store was extremely filthy. Strong dog odors everywhere made me gaged and wanted to throw up. I had to ask the receptionist at Banfield for a mask so that I wouldn't smell the bad odor in there. The floor was filled with dirt, hairs, dried out discharges (probably dog pee) and stains like feces (poops). I really had to watch my every steps to make sure I didn't step on any of those. This is my last time going to PetSmart in Federal Way. Eventhough i take my cats to a different Banfield location, I seriously consider canceling my Wellness Plan with Banfield because I can't trust my 3 fur babies to a place like that. read more

I understand Covid has caused delays. But to use that as an excuse as to why you cannot look up inventory is absolutely an excuse for being lazy. It's not like I'm asking you to go to another store. My cat is on a prescription diet that I can only get from either a pet store or vet location that sells the food. Every Petsmart location in WA has a recorded message that they are to busy helping customers to check stock. I figured I would ask while buying a substitute food they being in the store could check. Especially since the distance between stores is at least 10 plus miles. I understand inventory is hard to keep. If there was a way to check inventory myself I would. I've been coming here for a few years now. And I've been seeing a rapid decline in customer service at this location. I came in tonight instead of the fish tank stuff for about 1520 minutes not realizing the store was closing after I waited for a while, no service I went up to the counter and waited in line, waited for a few people to go through and then ask the girl behind the counter. If someone could help me with the fish she gave me a dirty look and said the store is closing in a few moments, and then I just looked at her kind of had a shock look on my face and then I think she realized how rude she was being and then said hold on wait a minute at that point I don't want somebody to serve me, especially if I'm annoying them the stores could really use some customer service training...... embarrasses for the brand. If I realize the store is closing in a few moments, I would've never ask someone to help me with the fish are used to work retail... I get it, but walking into the store now and greet you. Unprofessional behavior by employees at PetSmart store in Federal Way. I entered the store with my granddaughter and my great granddaughter. We went to the pet department to purchase two goldfish, and a small bowl for feeders. I asked one of their employees in the pet department for help with resistance...she has long brown hair, heavy set, with tattoos on left arm. I asked the employee why was she giving me a hard time with a nasty attitude? She said that she cannot sale me fish without me buying a fish tank." I told her that I have a fish tank. She continues repeating herself...I cannot sale you the fish. Then she said, I'll get the manager. I said, please do. After she spoke to the manager then I spoke to him. I told the manager that his employee has a bad attitude and is it a store policy that I have to purchase a fish tank from PetSmart to purchase the fish from here? He said, "No". Then he said, "I'll get someone else to help you." And, I said, thanks. The manager (Receding hairline, beard, mustache, large glasses, small statues) sent someone else over to assist me as he stood there watching. The second employee (big status, big brown hair, beard with mustache and glasses) was even worst than the first employee. He asked can I help you, I said yes. I just want to purchase two goldfish. He asked what size tank do you have? I said, 20 gallons. He said, that's not what I was told. I repeated to him again that I have a 20-gallon tank, and this is a gift. Then he said, "The person you are giving the fish to may not like them, and I have every right to refuse a purchase." When he said that, I said to the manager this is 2024 and this is still going on...I will never shop here in Federal Way store again. This has been the worst experience I've had in my life. My advice to everyone out there...get your phones out and record everything you see going on, it just may help someone else out there!!! read more

We live an equal distance from the Felony Way location as we do the South Center location. The one in Felony Way is by far the worst store and grooming establishment in the area. These are the classic example of a minimum wage employees. The customer service is beyond sub par. We stopped coming here a while back, but after having a bad experience at the S. This is a very honest review. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! We have two dogs and both are 7 years old. We have been going to PetSmart for 5 years but over the last 2 years, our experience has been very bad. Over the last few times, they cancelled appointment for one of our dogs less than 30 minutes before the appointment; did not give hair cut to our dog because they said our dog was lazy and could not keep standing for the required time. Each time, they ask how service went so I gave them honest feedback/ bad review on their website for the past two experiences. After several months, this time instead of a hair cut, we scheduled for just a bath and brush, they scheduled the appointment. But when I called a week in advance to reschedule the appointment for a few days later, they first kept connecting me to different people, and finally said the manager of the Federal Way location wants to speak with me because of my past review and will call me back. Well, of course that call back never happened. The next day I again called and same story repeated, they said the manager will come at 1 pm and I should call back then. I don't understand why I need to call back when I am the victim here of bad service! But well, I did call back and the manager (instead of any apology) tells me to take my dogs somewhere else as they are too energetic, which is completely contrary to what the groomers had told me in the past. They had said our dogs are too lazy. So, obviously someone lied! Anyways, happy to take me boys somewhere else and would not want to waste my time, money or any effort at a place which clearly does not care about the dog or the service they provide. And they surely don't seem to want to improve. Ozzie Pup and I visited this store today for the first time to buy some new toys. This is a great store, the shelves were stocked full of product and they had a very large toy selection with a lot of variety. The toys were more affordable today as there was a fantastic sale running, but I also liked the large sections dedicated to a variety of toys from key manufacturers (Kong, Chuck-IT, Nerf, etc.) A lot of these toys I'd never seen before. Just on the Chuck-IT shelf alone there were a zillion different types of throw toys. It took me forever to decide which ones to purchase! There was an immense selection of toys for my strong chewer (seems most stores tend to carry soft squeakers that my dog can destroy in seconds). I nearly went bonkers buying way too much stuff. I also enjoyed the separate row of rawhide like chews in a variety of shapes and sizes. They had everything from bully sticks to smoked knuckle slices (which my dog went bonkers for when he smelled them). There was a sign indicating they no longer were selling pig ears (recent Salmonella outbreak in the news). Comforting to see they'd been removed from the shelves. The checkout was swift and easy and I'll definintely be visiting this store again and again. I'm one of those odd customers that doesn't like to be bothered while I am shopping. I don't need to be greeted when I enter your store, I just need access to great product selection that I can peruse unbothered so I can make the purchase that is best for me. And that's exactly what you get at PetSmart.. Great toy selection especially if you have an active dog that loves, tug of war, loves to chase and is a strong chewer! I'm contemplating adopting an animal. Came in to look at the cats. Had a great experience with an employee who brought me around the back to interact with a couple cats I was interested in. She told me about the adoption process through the Auburn animal shelter, the cost of $95 per cat plus $6 and change for a cardboard cat carrier. The cats are well taken care of and have toys. Afterwards, I was looking at the fish and two employees asked how I was doing. I saw the same gal that had helped me with the cats checking on the guinea pigs and she clearly loves animals. A completely ridiculous waste of time and energy. I made an apointment to have my 6 month old labs nails trimmed. They had done it before, althoigh the first time we paid for them to be filed and they did not file them. I let that go. This time, after waiting 15 minutes for them to take her, and waiting 15 more minutes in line to pay because they never have more tham one checker, they called out she was ready. Then they told us they didnt do it, they wpuld not be able to clip her nails because she would not hold still for them. Now, tell me if I am wrong, but this is the reason you take yoir pup to s professional that offers this service.I know she wont hold still, that is why I didnt do it myself. It was not because I didnt feel like it. She then sent me back to wait in line again to get a refund. Pet Smart is over priced. I find the same products for mucj less everywhere I go. I will not go back there and I recommend that you find another store, groomer, vet or any other service they claim to provide. There are alot of good choices out there. This is not one of them. This Petsmart is right off of Pack Hwy and is an easy to access location. They have lots of parking and is really close to Best Buy! Just watch your step when you're in or around this one because pet parents aren't the most responsible at picking up their dogs "little presents". This location seems to have a bit smaller of a selection than it's sister store in Tukwila, but there's still a lot of great pet supplies here. I just wish pet shops would carry more challenging and puzzle toys for cats. My cats love to play and figure things out, so it would be nice to give them better toys. I have never had any problems with the staff here. They're always friendly and around if you require assistance but are never harassing or stalking you. In all, I prefer Petsmart over Petco because I feel that Petsmart has a better selection and friendlier staff. read more

Extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment on Saturday and they were unable to finish my dogs haircut. So, we were told by the manager to come on Friday. When we showed up, the receptionist was rude and did not want to help us because we didn't have an "official" appointment. When I told them my situation about how the manager was supposed to finish my dog, they said she called in sick. It was very unprofessional for them to not call me to notify me because I wasted my time and was faced with workers with so much attitude. Another time I went they accidentally cut my dog and called my mother to tell her which I didn't mind, I knew it was an accident. There was miscommunication between the workers because then they called me and said that the wound was there before she came in so they weren't the ones to blame. I really enjoy the training classes PetSmart offers plus the trainer is a good trainer and very nice :) I've been taking Luna to the groomers for a while now. I don't have any complaints! The younger lady's seem to like their jobs so that a huge plus!!(older lady looks grouchy all the time. I just don't let her get close to my dog) anyways if you book your appointment online for the groomers you'll get $3.00 off. They recently started their points program!! :) Not to mention if you download their PetSmart app you can play their dog treat game and receive % of your next purchase. I brought my purebred yorkie to get his first puppy cut and that turned out just fine. So I thought when he needed his first "big boy" haircut I'd bring him back to Zoie. Well.... when I came to pick him up. Both my husband and I were shocked!!!!! He looked terrible!!! His hair was ALL CHOPPED OFF! I do mean chopped too. It was super uneven EVERYWHERE! Everyone that has seen him since (all of my clients) say "what happened to him, was he matted?" He was NOT matted at all. In fact he was freshly washed at home the day before. I have been rescheduled with this location three times by their groomers. One of the instances was due to my error as my dog was a week past due on rabies vaccination. We updated her shots and scheduled an appointment. They then rescheduled us. Anyhow.. today I took our dog in along with tags and proof of rabies vaccination. I literally stood in front of a girl with braids and brown hair with maybe red or purple ends for 5-7 minutes as she stood at the cash register. She never once looked up. She never once within that 5-7 minutes said "someone will be right with you." I was literally standing within one foot from her not greeted or anything. Finally she started to make movement and I assumed she was about to greet me. But nope she stepped around me and exited the area. I then continued to wait for a couple more minutes. Finally another gal asked if I had been helped and I said no to which she proceeded to help me. Upon checking in I showed the girl the official rabies vaccination form and tags I received from the vet. She questioned it being legit and decided to call the vet to ask. Per her conversation with the vet she told me that they didn't have a record of our dog being seen by them. I then stepped out and called the vet myself. Within 5 minutes the vet said yes we have her on file we will let them know and also email you documents. As I was walking back into the grooming area a groomer who had stepped out said "your vet just called and you are all good!" I went back into the grooming area and told the groomers that the vet confirmed vaccine and also spoke to one of their very own groomers on the phone. At this point the gal with the braids and red or purple ends piped up and said "well who told you that?" Again... questioning my word as though I would be lying about this. I told her "the grooMer who literally just stepped out.." The gal then just said "oh that woman was just a customer. She can't confirm that." I was like "are you fricken kidding me? Obviously I am not talking about that woman in the hat who is wearing regular clothing and who clearly just dropped her dog off. It was YOUR groomer who I just ran into out in the store." Does this braided girl think me, a mom of two is so shady that I am making up lies about my dog being vaccinated? So of course then they had to find that groomer and ask her if what I was saying was accurate. So crazy. She should not be working as a groomer. She is rude, horrible at customer service and looks miserable. I would never ever EVER have my dog seen by her. I've never experienced someone question my word so much: she's wild. read more
