Purchased a dog tag, had a great sale on bully sticks - odor free ones!! Buy one get one half off and our other dog needed a new collar so I got her a cute pink collar!! Great prices, clean and friendly staff. Quick checkout and friendly and pleased with their reward programs!!

If u look at my my history, you will see that is true. I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience at this establishment. We brought our labradoodle to a location in CT after months of no grooming due to covid -19. If you know labradoodles, u know they have very long hair which easily Gets matted, deep under the furry exterior. That location wound up having to shave very low to the base of the fur, but our dog still came out handsome as can be; fluffy tail and face, but low shave on the body. (As shown in the image provided) After waiting a few months for dog works to open, because it is much closer...our dog once again needed a groom desperately. We brush him daily - but we're advised by dog works that, that is not enough. (Due to the information they provided and friendliness, I gave them two stars) however our dog once again needed to be cut short. The problem is, when we saw our dog after already paying and generously tipping, he didn't even look like himself. My family owns a alpaca farm, I would much relate the shaving job to that of how we shave our alpacas once a year; uneven and rushed. All that is left fluffy on our dog is a portion of his tail. Our dog is still the most handsome boy but they took away his character. Will not be returning.

After the 2nd day I asked how the training was going and Sergio told me that they "wouldn't begin training until the 2nd week bc the first week is just to get the dog acclimated". After day 3 we pulled our dog from their program. She was dehydrated after each day there and on day 3 she came out looking soaked and Sergio told me "she had played in the snow". When she hopped in my car, her paws were disgustingly muddy and she smelled horrid. I brought her home and bathed her and she had a huge gash on her nose. When my husband called to let Sergio know we were pulling her and that we were happy to pay for the 3 days but wanted a refund for the rest, Sergio told him that those 3 days were $125/each bc they had done such intensive training each day. I reached out to see what training was completed w our pup since I was told nothing was done but nobody got back to me. Highly do NOT recommend.

Nothing but a food bowl and a water bowl and cold dirty metal bars to stand on. The amount of time these birds sit in these cages waiting for someone to have $800 to spend on them is crazy. They sit for months and months. The least you could do is give them something cozy to sleep in a toy and keep a clean cage, this has not been cleaned in weeks based on how much waste is at the bottom. I know because I have one of these birds and this is straight up neglect. Do your jobs and take better care of these precious babies. This is absolutely sad. DO BETTER.

We did raise our voices back to say "please stop! Please just get us checked in" She yelled at us for letting someone go in front of us. We kept saying "please just get us checked in" but she refused. Then another employee who looked like she was twelve came over and told us to leave because we were raising our voices, even though her employee was too. She didn't even listen to us, just kicked us out. I have never been so disgusted with an experience in my life and will never visit again. The younger girl that looked like she was 12 was power tripping hard and threatened us with being Banned from Petco entirely. I am appalled. Very unfortunate because the last time there was a younger girl who was new that was so sweet, and the vet was quick. Hire better people, or your business will suffer. And get that 12 year old looking girl some lessons in deescalation and customer service. First rule is "ask what's going on" don't approach with a threat. My husband even returned to talk to the young girl and explain, but she was very resistant and unkind to him too.

Joyful Paws Service Dogs - Daisy

Kasey Nash, Joyful Paws Review I'm writing this review…read morefor Kasey Nash, Joyful Paws, because she is a superb trainer and I'm very grateful that she trained our dog Daisy to become a service dog. Daisy is a mini labradoodle and was 2 1/2 when she began training with Kasey. Previously she had had two intermediate classes at the K-9 Connecticut Education Center. To summarize, in our first session Kasey explained in detail what would be involved, and stressed the importance of my involvement. Daisy had 20 lessons spread out over 6 months. Lessons took place in Kasey's very well equipped basement, Home Goods, Target, Petco, and Cabela Sports. Kasey sent detailed notes after each lesson on what and how to practice, and how to take commands to new levels. Daisy bonded with Kasey the first day, and became very excited at even the mention of "Kasey". After a 5 week evaluation period she received her "Service Puppy in Training Vest" (a proud day). Approximately five months later, Daisy did a fantastic job on her service dog test which lasted more than two hours. Daisy's primary task was location assistance and guidance. She learned to guide me through a department store such as Home Goods, stop at curbs outside, and more. To name just a few commands: Left, right, forward, outside, button, here, wait. Kasey's method was to explain a new command, demonstrate it with Daisy, then teach me to perform the task with Daisy. Lots of treats were used! Before the next lesson, Daisy and I practiced the new commands extensively, at least three times a week along with previous commands. To give you a few examples of Kasey's teaching, we spent an hour or so getting on and off the glass elevator at Cabela Sports. Daisy learned elevator etiquette and got over fear of accelerations and abrupt stops. The techniques I learned from Kasey allowed me to build on many commands during our practice between lessons. To name a few, elevator techniques were used to teach escalators. "Outside" was extended to "Back" and "Find the trail" while hiking. For fun, during one lesson, Kasey taught Daisy to push a "door open" assistance button. This took less than half an hour to my amazement. A year later Daisy still remembers this "button" command. Kasey organized a number of field trips with her other dogs in training: Mystic Aquarium and a Scavenger Hunt to name two. Kasey wrote an "Attestation Letter" about Daisy's training which was instrumental in getting service dog approval for Aer Lingus and later for EuroStar (train to UK). I highly recommend Kasey Nash to anyone considering Service Dog training.
