PetSmart - Pomeranian Tobi - Pet Training Near Me - College Station, Texas

This place seem unsanitary, dog hair everywhere. Cleaning seems unimportant. They are under staffed! Took my lil one there the first time and they did not seem like they knew what they were doing. Tried it against and the place seem disarray and understaffed again and again did not do what I asked and paid for, ridiculous. I will not be going back. read more

We have been bringing our dog to the PetSmart grooming salon in College Station for nearly four years, but today's experience left us feeling deeply hurt, judged, and disrespected. We originally booked a bath and brush appointment. On the day of that appointment, we were told that our dog had some tangling around his tail and would need a full shave. We take good care of our dog and did not fully agree with that assessment, but we trusted their recommendation and agreed to reschedule for the full grooming service. At today's appointment, the final bill was more than $215, nearly double what we originally expected. The invoice included separate detangling and dematting charges, even though the recommended service was a full shave. The charges were not clearly explained, and it was difficult to understand why all of these additional services were necessary. Even then, our primary concern was not the money. It was the way we were treated when we picked up our dog. Shelby Pryor, who identified herself as the person in charge of grooming, spoke to us in an extremely judgmental and disrespectful manner in front of other customers. Instead of calmly explaining any concerns, she gave forceful instructions about how we should care for our dog and demanded that we bring him in every six weeks. Professional advice is always welcome, but there is a respectful way to communicate with pet owners. We should not be made to feel embarrassed, shamed, or spoken down to after paying in full for every service recommended by the salon. When I approached the front desk to ask how I could provide feedback to PetSmart management, I waited for some time before Shelby came out and said, "I am the one in charge. What do you want?" Her response only added to the disrespect we had already experienced. I explained that my concern was not simply about the charges, but about the judgmental comments, commanding tone, and lack of basic courtesy. Pet owners trust groomers with members of their family. That trust should be met with transparency, compassion, and professionalism, not public criticism or humiliation. We have continued giving this location opportunities over the past four years, but this experience was the final breaking point. I sincerely hope PetSmart's College Station management takes this complaint seriously, reviews both the billing practices and the way customers are being treated, and provides appropriate coaching and accountability. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend the grooming salon at this location. read more

The store was short staffed so unable to sell fish. I brought my daughter there to purchase one fish and there was literally no one owe shopping, however the manager was too busy gathering baskets than to grab one fish. This wasted my time and I am now having to drive 15 minutes away to purchase elsewhere. I spend thousands of dollars at this location and am very disappointed that one of the two employees there were to busy doing things that could be done later than to be helpful. Tons of the fish looked like they were near death, so it's probably for the best. read more

The store is well stocked, has good discounts on my products and the Guinea cages are always clean when I'm shopping. It is my favorite pet store. read more

Genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met in retail. The manager was very kind and was immediately able to help me with what I was looking for without wasting my time. 10/10 service. read more

The only reason this is a 1-star review is because 0 stars was not an option. I had my standard poodle groomed today at Petsmart on William D Fitch in College Station and she looks HORRIBLE. When I dropped her off, I showed two employees what I wanted and when I picked her up, she had been COMPLETELY SHAVED from head to toe including fully shaving her tail. My other dog doesn't even recognize her. She looks like a greyhound. Completely ripped off from paying $100 for something that looks like a 5-year-old playing with dog clippers did. Will NEVER step foot back in this place again. read more

Grooming my Yorkie. He was in PetSmart grooming 5 hours ( had appointment). I Went to pick him up. The groomer had to clip him while I was there because he hadn't been completed yet, paid for bath didn't get one. All they did was offer me a 10% discount on my next visit. Very disappointed in the service today read more

This Petsmart is fantastic! The manger is so helpful and friendly as is her staff. I love this store. I've only had good experiences in this location. read more

Dropped my lab off for a bath and basic grooming. The intake person was exceptionally condescending, explaining to me that excited dogs bite (my happy, well trained dog was greeting her..?), and that he needed to be taught manners. Ummm ok? She was snippy and unfriendly, and for someone who works with both people and dogs, left me feeling as though I wouldn't want to return. My dog came for a bath, not for your ill timed and unwanted comments about my dog's behavior. Kthanksbye. read more

PetSmart - My "rude dog that could bite if not taught manners". Looking fresh from his bath and nail trim! - Pet Training Near Me - College Station, Texas

Girl at the hospital reception is rude. Every time I tried to talk she talked over me, probably because of my accent. The manager is not friendly also. I work close to this store so I thought it could be my store to shop for my cats but I'm never going there again. Please train your staff on how to treat people of all backgrounds. I will be shopping online or at the America's Country Store. read more

Not a reliable place to get your dog groomed. They did a horrible and unfinished job. I was told my dog was not "cooperating" so they could not finish grooming her but somehow managed to completely shave her. My dog is so sweet and has been groomed before without any issues. It goes to show that they need better groomers who are actually good with animals. The staff (Alexis S. and others) are rude and not helpful. Please don't bring your pets here unless you want them treated poorly. My girl has not stopped crying since her appointment this morning read more

The wait took a while but, Eli was super helpful and friendly!! She took really good care of my pup and my baby now smells awesome. He's also super soft(not shedding anywhere near how much he was!) and his nails are perfectly trimmed. Ask for Eli or Ellie for any of your grooming needs!!! Worst service i have ever experienced! They will invent reasons to charge you extra money. $20 "handling" fee if someone has to "hold" your dog during the service. I managed a grooming salon for 5 years and know that sometimes having to hold a dog is necessary for portions of the groom, like nail grinding, it is just part of the job. But I would never even consider charging a customer for this normal occurrence. I want to add that the dog in question is a puppy who weighs 9.5lbs, he is not aggressive, he just fights a bit when they grind his nails. If a groomer cant handle him, maybe they should seek alternative employment. Also, they wanted to charge me extra for having an elderly dog. I mentioned that he had kidney disease and all of a sudden they had to get permission to give him a simple bath and they wanted to charge me an extra $20 to give him an express bath, which they quoted me would take about an hour and a half and I would have to sit there and wait for him. I refused their service and took all 3 of my dogs home. I'm disgusted by their nickel and dine tactics but I'm mostly angry that I wasted an hour and a half of my tightly scheduled day, and had to leave without getting my dogs much needed grooms. The green haired lady had obviously checked my dogs records before I arrived for my appointment bc she knew that my puppy needed vet records and that he needed to be muzzled for nails, so if they checked the records for my other dogs, they would have known about my elderly dog and contacted me about any concerns they had PRIOR to me driving 30 mins to the appointment. Altogether, horrible experience. Horrible customer service and will try to tack on ridiculous fees. read more

This WAS my favorite pet store in College Station. I go in today to buy cat food. A ton of the Solid Gold food is expired. I and another shopper get what we need and take to check out--- only to find out they are unable to sell me food that expires in a month...REALLY? Another customer in front of me had some food that expired in a week. The cashier said that was considered a "short date" which means they expire within 30-60 days. The shopper said you guys give me these at 50% off. You have been giving me the 50% off the short date food for three years!! The cashier informs the customer that the policy has changed and now they are only 20% off. Another cashier chimes in and says I have no clue what our policy is...They lost three great customers today. My monthly bill in there was well over $300. Grrrrr guess it's back to Petco read more

After receiving an email notification, yesterday I took my dog to "sample Saturday", at about 12:30 pm. There was a floor-sign advertising the event from 12-3, yet there was NOTHING going on - no tables set up, no samples on display, nobody walking around with samples. I walked by at least four employees, who were mostly talking to each other... and nobody even said "hi". So, I'm guessing this really isn't of importance to the store, the staff, or the franchise. Very disappointing. read more

Second time ridiculous customer service. 1st time made appt way in advance for older dog and i live an hour away. Got there and their dog groomer had quit. They said they notified me but they lied Did not offer any compensation. No Sorry- nothing. Second time different dog. I even called banfield when i made the appt. Made appt months in advance. . Oh yes per Banfield. . He is good with rabies. We Will walk it over. Day of grooming after hour drive. We don't have it -banfield is closed Basically "sucks to be you". It is there job to vet these issues. I don't think the groomers really want the number of dogs per day. Don't go here!!!! read more

Staff seriously needs some training on customer service. After arriving at this store 20 minutes before 7pm (they close at 9pm) my husband and I stood around and waited for ANYONE to come help us purchase a fish for our daughter. After waiting, and looking at the fish, I finally walked away and looked for a staff member to help us. I found one at the checkout counter who told us that they couldn't "sell fish after 7" .... it was 7:05 and we have been waiting since 6:40. We then walked away and were going to leave, but then finally found another employee and asked her if she could help us with fish questions, and she cut us off and said that she wouldn't help us because "the CDC says we can't sell fish after 7" ... so you can't answer my questions? I told her that we have been waiting for help and she said "me and Jenn have been walking around the whole time" as if that is supposed to make up for the fact that not one person greeted us, or tried to help us with A FREAKING FISH. read more

DO NO TAKE YOUR PETS TO PETSMART!!! This is what Bella looks like after being at the groomer for 8 hours! At 10:23am I received a call that she had a "little scratch" but it was protocol to be seen by their vet. Well 5 hours later, no call and she hadn't been seen by the vet yet (I was informed however that it's bad enough to need stitches) The manager, Jennifer, was completely incompetent and refused to give me her last name so I could file a formal complaint. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! I will never take another pet of mine to PetSmart! read more

This Banfield is by far the BEST petsmart hopspital my family has been too. They take care of your pet like it they're and the Doctor is about eh nicest and most reasonable guy you'll ever encounter. It's a shame they don't have higher reviews for the store but don't be deceived as they're very much amazing at what they do! From the bottom of her heart, my dog Tiffany thanks you! read more

This was the second time I have used this new Petsmart for grooming my shih tzu, Rowdy, and I have been so impressed both times! I love how they welcome all the pets by name on their marker board that are scheduled that day. The first time, he had some pretty nasty knots that they were able to spot shave out to look uniform with the rest of the length that I was hoping for her achieve and she nailed it. Originally, I had scheduled my grooming session with Andrea on Saturday when I thought we would be moving but unexpectedly we were forced to move out a day early. When this happened and I called the grooming salon to ask for a earlier appointment they were very accommodating and found another time to fit me. Naomi did such an awesome job giving him his cute teddy bear face trim and the slightly longer 1 inch cut that I had requested. I love the cute progress report pamphlet they give owners at the end describing exacting which services they performed and how well your pet behaved. I had also received an email from them the week before for $10 off full groom which was much appreciated! I will most definitely be returning to this Petsmart as long as I live in the area! read more

After two other groomers at other places, we tried this new Petsmart on Arrington in College Station since we live nearby. Found some good reviews about Naomi on line so made an appointment for our dog. Check in was friendly and accommodating. Made notes of our requests and got to know our dog before we left. Naomi did a great job. Everything went well and she even gave some brushing tips when we picked up our girl. We had a very good experience and will definitely go back with Naomi. read more

DO NOT BUY ANY ANIMALS FROM PETSMART. GO TO PETCO. As a pet supply store PetSmart is ok, but the selling of sick/terminal pets and employees omitting contract details during signing will leave you with several dead PetSmart animals and no refund whatsoever. My PetSmart (horror) Story: Let me start by saying me and my Fiancé live in a small town with only 1 PetCo and 1 PetSmart so we had to wait for a shipment of Robo hamsters to come in and we purchased them the day after they arrived. This was A little under 14 days ago and we bought 2 little Robo hamsters and the whole setup for each of them. We got two separate cages/habitrail/wheels/hamster balls/food - everything. around 120$ worth of merchandise in total and 35$ for the two hamsters but whatever my Fiancé really wanted them. Fast forward to this morning - we woke up to find both hamsters dead in their cages. We knew it was sickness that killed them because we'd both fed them out of our hands and watched them drink water so we knew they were eating and drinking. And their deaths took place in the same 8 hour span, even though they hadn't come in contact since we left PetSmart - where they're kept in cages with a dozen other hamsters in close proximity. But anyway I call up PetSmart and say "hey you sold me two sick hamsters and they both died" And the lady says bring them in, it's been less than 14 days just bring the contract, receipt and dead bodies as proof. So I put the poor guys bodies into ziplock bags (since my Fiancé lost it when I said they needed the bodies) and we drove to petsmart. When We got there We went up to the same lady I talked to on the phone and she said "wait here, for all animal refunds Im supposed to get a manager" so as soon as the manager looks at my receipt she says "you purchased these animals together, the guarantee doesn't apply" - completely straight faced. after explaining to the manager that I'd no one ever mentioned this, and We had just driven out here because the employee right next to her said we could return them she just said "sorry, you should have bought them separately" me and me Fiancé looked at each other like "can you believe this bull****?" Which prompted the manager to spout "I'm the manager here so... sorry!" And then start waving at the next customer in line. I honestly hope she's there tomorrow to watch me return my 120$ worth of hamster equipment and drive to PetCo right after. Were still getting new hamsters but I really don't want PetSmart having any more of my money at this point. So to summarize - I was sold 2 robo hamsters for 35$, which died a few days later due to sickness even though they were separated. I was told it was going to be okay if I load their dead bodies into bags, drive to PetSmart, and then get there only to find out I couldn't return them once I was standing in the store with two dead Robos. If you're buying any living creatures. please go anywhere but PetSmart read more

The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because I had no problems for the first year I took my dog there but recently over spring break I brought my dog in and when the girl called me at 2 o clock she was very rude and told me they were closing early, which no one had mentioned to me beforehand but I sent my mom to get her nevertheless and when we got her they had done the bare minimum to her. No sanitary shaving, no nail clipping, they barely trimmed her fur, did not really trim her face or her ears but I definitely still paid full price for it. Will not be going back at all and someone should teach those girls to conduct themselves professionally on the phone. read more

We recently adopted a shelter pet and wanted to put her thru obedience training. I searched online for a Groupon coupon for PetsMart's training program and found a $15 coupon. I printed it and took it in to the store to sign up for the class. They would not honor the coupon. The very nice clerk got her manager, Jennifer, who said it was within her authority to honor it or give me the $15 discount, but would not because it was not a PetsMart coupon. The manager, Jennifer, would rather argue than just honor the discount per the coupon. Obviously customer service is not a priority for her. read more

Always price match!! Everything is extremely overpriced and they will literally price match anything online, except amazon. Some of the staff is okay, but I every time I go in, there is someone sitting on their phone. There's only one girl working the register, but yet you see the managers visiting in the grooming salon and the vet hospital. Seems like the cashier is doing more of the work than the managers are. If you plan on price matching, tell the cashier before. She will have to call the manager up(which takes forever) and they will have to help. Seems like the managers need to step up their game and stop being so lazy. read more
