Love coming here. I do enjoy going to PetSmart, but the one thing I know Pet Supplies have over PetSmart are the sales. Pet Supplies seem to have sales most of the time and they're great sales. I also love the fact that they sale birthday items for your pets to include a little pastry area. They have everything I need so I'm happy. They do have a few animals sometimes, but mostly aquatic stuff. The staff are fast and friendly. Huge parking lot outside. Been getting my dog food here since the store's been open. Overall, I love the store...but the lack of social skills is pretty poor for the girls that work the registers. They don't really know anything about the products when you ask them (the only response I get is "it's a good product". They can't tell me anything in detail). When you do ask them, they don't even make eye contact with you. Again, very poor social skills and they should know more about the products in the store. they should also know about the reward system which no one can ever give me information on, after years of coming to the store and I still have no rewards that show up. read more

I had a 9 AM appointment for grooming. The street was shut down. I arrived and waited in a line to check in. When I got to the desk, they said I was late 10 minutes late and they would have to charge me a late fee of $10. I asked to speak to the manager, who would not budge. Not one person at the desk noticed the dog. He is a Rottweiler, a big baby scared of everything. I tip really big for good service. Needless to say I took my sweet dog home. These people need to be tree trimmers. They are not suited for service. Or maybe they don't want to work. Don't take live animals here. It traumatized me and my dog. read more

If this company is going to offer coupons, they seriously need to upgrade their system to facilitate their customers better in the 21st century. Emailed coupons get lost in today's spam and snail mail coupons are too difficult to keep up with. Sometimes they'll give you a discount at the register. Sometimes they don't. Then they act like they're doing something they weren't supposed to be doing. I can order this food online from Amazon at a better price with free delivery and on a scheduled basis and not have to put up with Pet Supplies Plus' retail store drama and coupon games. And they never offer to help carry out heavy items! Waiting for someone to end her conversation and appear at the register for check out is inconsiderate and a time wasting pain. We recently adopted 2 puppies after loosing our 16 yr old fur baby. We were so far out from puppy needs other than basics we didn't feel well equipped to bring them home. We went here and the girl was amazing! (I wish I could remember her name) She knew information about both the breeds and recommended some of our girls favorite toys! When we go in now ( she's only seen a picture of them) she asks about them and if they are liking their toys. Highly recommend this store! And I'm glad that we have people who know pets working there! I usually go too petsmart for addie's grooming. Her vet is in the same building so it's easy for us. But after getting caught in some mud puddles while playing in the park, I found I needed some "emergency" grooming. Petsmart, Petco, all the other places had no availability to wash Addie. I called Pet Supplies Plus, and they were able to see Addie within the hour. They were very sweet to her, and now we are enjoying our Saturday afternoon smelling and looking our best! read more

I picked an extra small harness out of the clearance bin that had a pink % off sticker and a printed price tag of $8.98 that had been attached to the harness with plastic tag that can only be attached with tag gun. I also pick up the matching extra small collar which had no tag at all. At check out the sales clerk, rang up the harness for $8.98 and then called for a price on the collar. The shift leader came and rudely asked the sales associate if there was another collar with a price, to which I told her there was another collar in the bin, but it also had no price. The shift leader, then went and dug in the clearance bin and found a free floating tag not attached to anything and brought it over and said this is the price of the extra small collar. The sales associate, then rang up the collar which was more than the harness, so I said it can't be more than harness, so the sales associate double checked with the shift leader who came over and tore off the tag that said $8.98 on the harness and said very rudely to the sales associate and me, THAT'S THE WRONG PRICE! And then held up the pink % tag in front of me. In the end when the sales associate rang up what the shift lead told her, the clearance harness and collar rang up for the regular price. So I asked the sales associate to remove them both form my purchase. I am shocked the shift lead spoke so rudely to the sales associate in front of me and other customers and even more shocked that she would rip a tag off of a harness that had clearly been placed by the store instead of honoring it. this is not the first negative experience I've had in the store, I'm not sure it's worth returning to shop there again. read more

I've been visiting Pet Supplies Plus in Bryan for about 1 year now for my 3 Australian shepherds (two old guys and one pup). They have hard to find items such as freeze dried raw foods and frozen raw foods. The employees know exactly where everything is, and they are competent and friendly. I'd recommend it to anyone with a dog or cat of any age. They do have supplies for other species as well (fish, ferrets, birds, reptiles) but since I don't have those I can't really speak to that. read more

This is my go to place for buying fish in town. They have varieties that are not commonly found at stores like PetSmart or Petco (which are the only other pet stores in BCS.) The employees are very helpful with any questions you have about fish for your tanks, like extremely helpful and know what they are talking about. This pet store is my favorite in the area. Their selection is extensive, they are well stocked, and the store is very clean. Spencer helped me out tremendously in picking out the correct fish for my tank, and he was very personable. I highly recommend this store as their prices can't be beat while maintaining top quality! All of the employees that I have worked with here are very nice, and always make sure that you have what you need. They also treat the animals in their possession with love and respect, which a lot of pet stores do not do anymore. There is another employee that I would like to recommend, although I cannot recall her name. She has short, colorful hair and she is very knowledgeable about the products in the store and what is compatible with what you already have. Again, I highly recommend this store. read more

I went into the store to purchase my puppy her food. I was happy to see a 8 dollar off sign below it. I signed up for yet another card. ( like my wallet doesn't already have enough in it ). When she rang it up the discount didn't register. Then she walked over and said.....this is only puppy food not large breed puppy food. I buy blue which is 55 dollars a bag. So.....I was upset planned on walking out and going back to petsmart. I didn't I bought it..dumb I know I shouldn't have gave my business. It won't happen. False advertising. At times the store inventory is off compared to availability listed online but I find that to be a common occurrence at retailers across the board. I have always enjoyed my experiences at Pet Supplies Plus. I had a great first time grooming experience for my miniature goldendoodle; however, setting up a second grooming appointment has been a nightmare. I have called at least three times a week for the last two weeks to arrange a grooming appointment for my dog. Everytime I call, the groomer is either already gone or unavailable, and I leave my name and phone number. On Friday, the person with whom I spoke to said that he would personally put my name and phone number on her keyboard on her computer and to expect a call around 9 am. It's 10:30 on Monday morning, and I haven't heard anything so I chose to call them again. This time the employee who answered stated that the groomer was off today. Frustrated! I stated that I needed her groomed by this Saturday, and he responded by saying that they are typically booked 2 weeks out anyway, and I let him know that is why I had been trying to contact them for over 2 weeks. I'm beyond irritated at this point, which is disappointing because I did love giving them my business opposed to the large chain pet stores. read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful and all of the animals for sale looked healthier and were in cleaner cages than in most big stores. The food and supplies available are also higher quality brands and at better prices, especially with their card which is very easy to sign up for.
