The Petsmart located at Greenbrier is a joke. Yesterday we were charged for very poor service. We have two Labradoodles and one of them was barely groomed. If a customer has a profile for themselves and the pet it should be exceedingly clear what services are expected and what discounts are normally applied. When the Doodles were picked up the groomers were very rude and would not apply our Military discount. My husband was addressed in a very unprofessional manner. They will not groom as requested and everyone there appears to be stressed and unhappy. They just lost a customer. I would not in good conscience recommend them to anyone. read more

Don't go to this grooming place!!! My dog was denied service because she was so excited and peed and was breathing heavy. She is also excited around new people. They seemed behind schedule and my groomer wasn't even on time for the appointment. And everyone else looked miserable working. I don't like people wasting my time it's a holiday weekend and now she will have to wait another week. They constantly have new staff no one seems to stay don't waste your money find a Real Groomer . read more

Another one of my favorite stores. Another one that I'm super happy that they offer curbside service for. They always have everything I'm looking for in stock their website is always up-to-date with what they have as far as quantity wise. Their website is very user-friendly it should say their app is very user friendly. The staff that work there are always very pleasant and always willing to help you. They have the best dog beds and clothes I can never walk out of there if I decide to go in the store to get what I intend I get more than I want or need. That is typically why I like to do curbside pick up and illuminates me from impulse buying. I'm sorry I typically do not take photos when I do online shopping or when I do order pick up there's not really anything to take a photo of. Highly recommend shopping here highly recommend doing curbside pick up read more

PetSmart - She's not happy about not getting her bath and cut today. - Pet Stores Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

I have started visiting this PetSmart more often lately. I am enjoying the Halloween themed pet toys and supplies for my cat. She loves all her toys. I bought a mat for the food and water bowls that has cute black cats on it with gold stars. Also got a new scratcher! I was tempted to buy the sushi cat bed I spotted there. I buy Purina weight management chicken food , it has been hit or miss with being in stock. I can sometimes manage to find the small bag. The staff is friendly and I love their enthusiasm to help animals in the community. I always have the opportunity to donate to an animal centers, or for example last time I could to pick out a $5 toy to donate. There is plenty of parking, but it is a busy area due to being next to a big Target and Barnes and noble, and other major stores. It has always been a nice experience for me when I pick up pet toys and supplies. read more

I ordered online from this store and the order was never delivered. I received a text from their partner, DoorDash, saying the order had been cancelled and to call the store for more info. I call the store and they tell me a Dasher picked the order up and there's nothing they can do, but I can call their customer service line and file a dispute. I've been on hold for over 20 minutes to start the dispute process. Not to mention the money for the order was already taken from my account. I understand issues happen, but the store made zero effort to assist in either refunding the money or offering to allow me to pick the item up in store, nothing. There are not interested in customer satisfaction or retention but were more than happy to give me a phone number and wash their hands of it. I will not give PetSmart any more business, I'm happy to even pay a higher price for a place that can provide better customer service. read more

Tagging along with my coworkers, we came in to purchase a bearded dragon for one's classroom. What an experience! Not sure of their names :( but the employees who helped us were great! Answered all of our questions and then some. For new pet owners, it was great they gave their thoughts and experience on the bearded dragon. Even better was the employee price matching everything to give us the best price...but it also kind of have way that Petco was a cheaper pet store. Store was clean and being restocked. Other employees were kind as well. Pretty good deals. read more

Always our go to for dog supplies and turtle supplies as well. It seems to be getting pretty dirty. They definitely have all the options you need. What get us is the poor fish. We went to a tank that had a dead fish. Yes that happens but this fish has been there a while. He didn't even have a eye anymore. Gross! Not very fun when you little 4 year old sees that. Hopefully they can start paying more attention to the fish. read more

Terrible service. I had an appointment and still had to wait over 20 minutes to get my dog into grooming. My dog's never been more stressed at a grooming appointment than coming here. Today (Sunday, 10 March, 2024) I brought my dog Knox (5 pounds) in for a full grooming and wash. Upon my arrival to pick up Knox, other than his facial hair he did not appear to be any different. The rest of his body hair was not any shorter than when we brought him in. There is still hair around his eyes. His nails were trimmed but not trimmed short enough to where they would not snag in clothing. They did not trim around his genitalia. They did not trim his tail hair. I will never get my pets done here ever again. They said he was an adult at 6 months but yet he is still a puppy and is eating puppy food. So for all of this work that was not done I was charged $74. I could have done so much better and FOR FREE. One more thing...I was told that Knox was squirmy and didn't sit still and was the result of his grooming not being done to my liking. If the is true, why was his face trimmed and not any other part of his body. The face is the most difficult part. read more

Cashier was incredibly condescending and rude when I went to purchase an item, similar to clothing or a toy (not food!) for my cat that is usually meant for dogs. When I explained it was fine, she kept it up and said "well, just keep an eye on them." Excuse me? She assumed I didn't care about my pet because I didn't heed her oh-so-wise-and-not-asked-for advice. If I see her again at this location, I just won't go to her lane. Please just check out my items and mind your own business next time. read more

I come here to get supplies for my two Boston Terriers and mostly use their grooming salon to get their nails trimmed. I appreciate that they take walk ins but beware on the weekends, as they get very busy! I've waited upwards of 45 minutes just to have my dogs nails trimmed! The staff at the salon are nice and very sweet to my dogs. The nail trims are affordable- $10 for a trim, more to grind them (makes it less sharp). The salon is usually a bit of a mess but who can blame them when they deal with a high volume of clients. I recommend coming here during the week when it's less crowded and more calm. Since my dogs don't need fancy haircuts or aromatherapy baths, I think this place is affordable and efficient with getting the job done. read more

The grooming here has always been below average, but considering the price compared to other places, it's been my go-to. Another reason we come here is that my girlfriend brings our other dog, so it's easier if we take both. She often complains that our smaller dog's haircut is poorly done, but since our lab doesn't need one, I hadn't paid much attention. Every time I pick up our lab, he still has a slight odor, which I assumed was just normal for dogs. However, last month he was groomed and smelled fantastic--definitely the best visit in the past 1.5 years. Yesterday, though, after the same service, he didn't smell nearly as good as last time. IMO this place is too busy, and they're putting quantity over quality. It looks like a mad house every time we visit. The workers are obviously stressed. read more

I go here for all my pet supplies (I have a bunny). I like the options they have and the price isn't too high. I'm a m miner so I get points which I can then use to make my items cheaper. I like how they are clean and it is brightly lit. They also have a lot of space between aisles so if you bring a pet they aren't as likely to knock something over. They have a grooming center for dogs (they don't cut rabbit's nails which is a bummer) and they have a puppy training school. read more

Do Not Use This Grooming Salon!!! Having my dogs groomed at Petsmart (Greenbriar) was a big mistake. I don't know what happened to my Min Pin/Chihuahua but he was terrified when I picked him up. It took me the rest of the day for him to relax. Maybe all the kennel noise upset him, maybe the groomer cut into the quick while trimming nails. With my other dog she was there over 2 hours and only received a bath. The groomer had excuses as to why it took so long and also claimed my dog was nervous about getting her nails trimmed so they were never done. I could have bathed my dog myself for free if that was all the "grooming" she was receiving. These people have no clue! read more

Do not book a grooming with Samantha H. I brought my Pitbull Terrier in for a bath and brush service and was up sold to a ferminator package to decrease shedding. 30 minutes later I am getting a call saying my dog is done. I don't know about anyone else but I don't think 30 minutes is worth almost $100. When I asked Samantha about this she told me it was because she had no other dogs for the day. She also showed me the brush she used, which was NOT a ferminator brush, it was a rubber brush. A few days later my dog is still shedding just as badly as before and I feel completely scammed. Samantha does not care about giving quality service, she only cares about getting the most money out of you. read more

We just got a new dog. Although they don't carry the exact brand I was looking for, they do have a wide selection of dog food available in store. They offer grain free and regular dog food that all vary in price depending on what you are looking for in a dog food. They do carry some human grade dog food but the selection is limited. There are some refrigerated dog foods as well. They have plenty of dog treats as well, if they don't have it in store, they are all available online. Staff was very helpful on the phone when I called to discuss the differences in dog food brands. Right now they have 10% off for curbside pick up due to the unfortunate virus in case you needed something for your pet right away. We utilized the curbside pickup and it was fast and easy. My dog loves his food, chew toys and treats from here! You can also take you pet to be seen by the vet inside the store, we are looking forward to our dog's first visit! read more

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK A GROOMING APPT HERE WITH SAMANTHA H. I always bring my dog Walter to get groomed here. (Catherine C. is amazing with him.) Catherine was booked out so I had to book a bath and brush with Samantha. 2 hours into the appointment I get a call from the salon about Walter pawing on the kennel so aggressively that they were worried about him hurting himself and he needed to be picked up right away and they were not going to finish his groom. This has NEVER happened with any other groomer from Petsmart and it has happened with Samantha TWICE. On 2 separate instances she was not able to finish Walter's grooming appointment and I had to leave work to come and pick him up. She is not patient or competent enough to work with animals who can sense human anxiousness. My dog has not been anxious like this around anyone except for this girl. The reason I still gave 2 stars is because of Catherine C. and the assistant manager Jessica. I wanted to make her aware of the situation and she listened and assured me that if we return we will receive a complementary groom and always be booked with a more experienced groomer as Samantha was one of the newer associates. If you have to book here - book with Catherine C. and Catherine C. only. read more

This is strictly based on the store and not the pet grooming and medical services, which are also offered. Located across from the Greenbrier Mall allows for easy access to and from the interstate. Coupled with plenty of parking, makes this PetSmart a convenient trip with or without your pet. Pets/Food/Equipment/Etc: PetSmart has always been good at ensuring a good variety of Pets, pet accessories and such to care for them. From fish to dogs they seem to have just about any and everything you'll need at a fair price. Staff: Very friendly and fairly knowledgeable, also quick with pet clean ups for those pooches that either can't hold it or just trying to mark their territory. Prices: Competitive and fair. Like anything else if you want a bargain then either surf the net or spend the time shopping to find it. Heck with that just give me a decent price and I'm good, which is exactly what PetSmart does and the reason I'm a return customer. Overall: I think it would be unfair to judge them on services I haven't used likewise it would equally unfair to give them a rating that might cover some of the complaints my fellow Yelpers have posted on their services (pet grooming in particular). With that in mind I'm holding at 3 Stars. Not the best choice for grooming read more

PetSmart - Best we could do for our dog family pic - Pet Stores Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

This location is alright, but others in the area are better (i.e. - Landstown Commons). It's a bit small (aisle are tight) and it's aging quite a bit. The registers are really cramped together as well. It really is in need of some renovating and reorganizing. PetSmart, in general, is fairly expensive. The only reason we go here is because it's close to home and we only go for the dog food. For treats and toys we go elsewhere. read more

I cannot speak of the horrors of the grooming and veterinary services I see on this page, but I am thankful for the wonderful customer service I received upon trying to exchange canned puppy food with the wrong receipt (lol @ me) and being treated kindly despite a silly mistake on my part. She processed it as a non-receipted return since I was buying my puppy's flea preventative the same day anyways (and I mean, it was past 60 days, so thanks for still working with me). I usually just shop online for Honest Kitchen and browse TJ Maxx and Marshall's for random doggie stuff like bowls, beds, and toys. I think this store served its purpose for needing flea stuff for my furbaby and handling my return quickly and efficiently. I ran this errand on my lunch break, and they kept up with demand despite only having 2 registers open. I hope everyone else can experience the fantastic customer service I received. read more

Petsmart is a good place to pick up any pet supply you might need. Besides having food, snacks, toys, treats, shampoos, medicines, kennels, bedding, etc they also have grooming on site and a veterinarian hospital. Whenever I need something specific for my mini Schnauzer I go to this Petsmart location (itchy skin shampoo, anyone?). The staff here is always very friendly, in fact just today the cashier helped me out with the Petsmart reward card and let me know how to set it up on-line. I highly recommend getting one of these cards as almost everything in the store is marked down a couple dollars if they scan your card at the register. I also went here for George's birthday because they have cookie treats that were perfect for a doggie birthday celebration! read more

They suck, my 8week old pup had an appointment today to be groomed, teeth brushed, ears cleaned, paw pads clipped, bathed and blown dry. I dropped her off and went about My business for two hours, but 30 min into it I got a call them telling me to come pick her up that, the session was stopped due to a few dang fleas, they couldn't continue because they can't use flea shampoo they have on her and they don't want the other dogs to get fleas... I was steaming hot. I left my groceries in my cart and went to pick her up, what a site,! my poor baby was soaked with a wet towel draped over her back, she looked pitiful scared and Wet. That was the fuel added to the fire. The one in charge of her case was Julie she was mumbling something as she was bringing Aspyn to me, I told her to stop I didn't Want to hear her and asked her to hand over my dog... and as I left I Told them how displeased I was and I would never return... over the years Off and on I have shopped for My late fur babies, they all three lived to be a ripe old age but I took them to the doctor there had a membership with them and petsmart groomers, bought their meds at the store even adopted cats from petsmart only to be Treated like we were diseased Because if A damn flea!!! PetSmart is PetSmart whenever you go, It's the staff that makes you feel welcomed, as it is for any place you go to. Every time I come here though, they make sure Jules and I find what we're looking for. I recently purchased a leash for Jules this past Sunday, and it broke. I came back and asked if I'm able to replace or exchange it, since I lost my receipt. Immediately they found my purchase in the system by just using my phone number, and they were able to do the exchange. They not only exchanged the leash for me, they also recommended the best ones I could use for a puppy who's still learning how to walk on a leash, and something that's strong enough to hold Jules on. Prior to this visit though, when we just got Jules, their staff was nice enough to walk through the aisles with me to help find items I needed for a new puppy. They didn't tell me what I needed, they asked what I was looking for and made the suggestions of the best products to purchase for my new puppy. They offered me coupons, the puppy book, and even explained their monthly Petplans at Bandfield. This is the closes pet store to me already, but I will be coming here for the rest of my years (hahaha) with Jules! Not only because he loves their treats, but because we love their staff! read more

This makes me so upset to even say, because I've used this grooming salon for over two years now for my pup. But today I took my dog who usually takes a little over 2 hours to be groomed, to someone named Amya, who from the beginning had an attitude when I brought my dog in. I get a text after thirty minutes of dropping off my dog that she was ready to be picked up. So I immediately called and they were definitely taken by surprise that I called asking why she had finished so quickly, especially considering she was getting a larger package. So they said it must've been a mishap and that she was still "working" on my dog and that she would be done in fifteen minutes. I walked in ten minutes after talking to them and the groomer Amya who was supposedly needing 15 more minutes on my pup was giving another animal a haircut, and might I had she was VERY mean to that other dog. I will never come back to this place and am saddened that I paid this much money for literally nothing. The services I paid for were not done except a bath. read more

Beyond disappointed!! Decided to take our puppy (7 months) to the groomer today. Online the price was $70 for a groom. When I dropped Karlie off I was asked if I wanted the nail grind? I said yes thinking this was the nail trim that comes with the $70 groom package. Then I was asked if I wanted the oatmeal bath? Once again I said yes because I thought that was the standard bath. Then I was told she wouldn't get the full cut because it was her first time?! So let me get this right you're charging me full price and then some ($84 after $10 coupon) but you're not doing the full service? So I go to the parking lot look online and see exactly what comes with the groom package. Go back inside and talk to Courtney* the grooming manager. (I think that was her name). My first question was obviously "Why am I being charged so much?" She said you are getting the full service. I replied yes but I was just told she can't get a full cut because it's her first time. She replied "we can go ahead and do the full cut." Easy day. When I returned to pick my puppy up I was pretty pissed off. I kept calm, cool, and collected. Paid my $75 ($1 extra donation to homeless pets). So basically we payed $74 dollars for a bath, nail grind, face, and butt trim. We will never bring our pets back to be groomed here. I don't care how conveniently located they are! read more
