Less than one star! Stay away from grooming. After several years of being a reliable customer I was treated like crap by Laurie and Katie regarding an appointment for grooming my dog. They called me when I was 2 blocks away from the store canceling the appointment. They wouldn't own the issue of not calling me sooner and were very rude when discussing the situation flat out saying no when asked if they could squeeze in the appointment. This huge store is like a supermarket for pet supplies! I have been shopping here for over a decade and have been consistently impressed with how well stocked it is. For food for rabbits and Guinea pigs, I prefer the brand Oxbow, which many pet stores don't carry. This PetSmart has always carried it. They have a lot of good items for little animals like mine, such as woven hay baskets and balls, and small beds and litter boxes. (They don't sell rabbits here but they do sell guinea pigs.) The animals for sale here all look to me to be well taken care of, in clean cages with fresh water and food always available. I have not seen any sick animals here. I also am an aquarium enthusiast and have found everything I have ever needed for my fish-tank at this store. The people working in the aquarium section have always been knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Again, the fish tanks are clean and well maintained. The third thing I buy in this store is wild bird food/feeders/suet. It's very convenient for me that this PetSmart sells seed for outside birds even though they are not pets. One stop shopping saves me from having to go to a second store. The checkout cashiers are friendly and polite. The store is open late and on weekends. It's organized in a way that makes it easy to find things, and has big shopping carts available in the parking lot. The parking lot is enormous and well lit. This store is really not impressive! If you have been to the Princeton PetSmart, it almost looks exactly like this location. The store is set up like a warehouse, with very high shelves. A lot of empty shelves were in the back of the store. They had a decent selection of pet food for every pet, that someone could have. The store is quite large, but not huge. However, I don't understand the point of putting a store up like a warehouse, if you're making the warehouse part feel empty! Really disappointing experience! read more

The groomers did not know how to use the computer program for billing. It took twice as long to generate a bill as it did to trim two Labrador Retrievers nails. The one person who knew how to use the program did not offer any advice until two groomers had struggled for 15 minutes. I will not return to this location for any grooming services. read more

Horrible, unacceptable customer "service". Completely ignored by PetSmart associate in the fish department who kept on cleaning the aquariums, while she obviously knew I was waiting for assistance. I was returning a dead fish that the same associate sold me the previous day. She also displayed a similar condescending attitude the previous day but I gave her the benefit of a doubt that she was just having a bad day. I admonished her (and rightfully so) for her poor attitude and was helped by another associate in returning the fish and receiving a replacement. The only reason I'm giving the grooming department one star is because they're friendly and sociable. I took my 13yo dog there and they left cotton balls in her ears after they cleaned them. We didn't notice back at home until she was not eating and stumbling around so we took her to the vet where they found and removed the cotton balls, which were causing an inner ear imbalance. We decided to give them another try because mistakes happen but with a different groomer. This time my dog came back with an area right under her butt very shaved down and raw, as well as some areas on her butthole. Poor baby has been licking the raw area since we took her home. Won't be coming back to this location anymore, it's a shame that they don't take better care of the animals, especially considering how much they charge! read more

I had bad experience with this petsmart grooming service last year but since I don't see good reviews of the surrounding grooming service as well and I don't want to generalize all the petsmart groomers due to my one time bad experience, so I decided to give another try in Petsmart. Two days ago I went to Petsmart and watched petsmart groomers through the window, all other dogs were shaking except the one groomed by Dennis. I watched her for five minutes, she was very patient and experienced, the dog looks very calm, so I decided to bring my two little dogs to Dennis. I showed Dennis the pictures of the style and she made their haircut exact the same as the style in the pictures. My dogs were happy and cute when I pick them up. Highly recommend Dennis! read more

Let me begin with this...If I could give 0 stars I would. My boyfriend and I brought our 19 week old Aussiedoodle to PetSmart to be groomed for the very FIRST time. I had informed the groomer that she was a puppy and that this was her first haircut, so she would most likely be nervous and even squirmy. We asked for a little trim, especially around her eyes but we wanted to keep her shaggy waves. When I picked her up her head was completely SHAVED...in fact it was so patchy it looked like a 4 year old took a buzzer to my dogs head without a guard on. She was left with a mullet........ The body was left completely untouched. I was furious. We will NOT be returning to PetSmart for any grooming services. read more

i am a former employee of petsmart & i'm writing this to let you know now, not to work here. in my six months of working as a dog bather, i have never seen such an incredibly bad management team and neglect towards their employees. from table arms always being broken, dryers being taken out of the salon for days at a time, and tables constantly not working, petsmart has made it very clear they do not care for their employees. there have been countless times where groomers have been extremely overbooked, meaning they wouldn't be able to take their lunch. what did petsmart do about that? instead of making sure groomer's dogs are spaced out properly or booking less dogs in the morning, they decided to cut everyone's hours and punish those who weren't able to take a lunch due to their own negligence. bathers only receive maybe 15 hours a week making the pay very low. there is no "safe" or "happy work environment" because everyone in the salon excluding a couple make it feel like the movie mean girls. constantly talking about each other, not helping their fellow groomers and bathers when they need it & only looking out for themselves. the salon is extremely cramped and impractical, only hosting three drying tables, three tubs & only one floor space to wash dogs. groomers and bathers are constantly subjected to being booked with dog aggressive dogs, huge dogs with no blocks & extremely misbehaved dogs. we were still made to come in even when we have no dogs majority of the time. petsmart values quantity over quality & it shows every single time you clock in. groomers being booked five dogs in the morning while they're break starts at 1:30, having almost 60-80 dogs coming in on the weekends where multiple groomers and bathers are fighting for space and can barely move around their tables. it is an extremely hostile and cramped environment for such little pay (for a bather, the groomers are paid rightfully well.) managers have no problem telling you exactly how they feel about call outs, even going as far as to be extremely rude, condescending & straight up dismissive of the troubles that their employees face. there is a group chat on the app known as "GroupMe" which includes every employee in the salon, including the salon leader. The salon leader, constantly types subliminal messages nitpicking at certain employees, deeming their reasonings for calling out unnecessary or even shaming them. there is always a passive aggressive tone used when speaking to employees & there have been instances of just straight up dismissal of employees feelings, their trauma, situations & concerns. the salon leader is offered a stool due to multiple surgeries & her being an older woman, but when another employee who suffers from PCOS & IBS asks to sit down for one shift she is told "you're young you don't have any health problems." multiple employees have expressed their frustrations with the overbooking of dogs, having to deal with extremely disrespectful pet parents & yet Petsmart has done nothing to help these employees. Groomers who have been there for years have not received a raise, employees are not celebrated with nothing more than a simple "Thank you!" text, and managers continue to gaslight and disrespect everyone around them. My experience at Petsmart was horrific & I will not be returning back. If you are someone who wants to specialize in dog grooming, please look elsewhere than Bridgewater Petsmart. read more

I made an appointment with a groomer at PetSmart at this location and I am very upset at how my dog came out. I have a 1 year old maltipoo and asked the groomer not to shave her. She let me know that she could feel some matted areas but it was not too bad as far as she could tell. She asked if we wanted to upgrade to a conditioner for $21 or $8 and we chose the $8 option as she said it was not too bad. When we returned, she was completely shaved. I do not understand why we were charged full price for a grooming on top of an additional $8 when all she did was shave her. That is not a grooming. read more

FOR GROOMING: So on 2017 i said i will never go back to this place. Nov 2020 i desperately came back as my dog needs a nail trim since the regular place I go to doesnt do it anymore for bigger dogs. Anyway, so I scheduled the Bath package. I got a call saying my dog is ready, asked if everything is good, lady said yes everything is ok. Husband picked up our dog, they came, i checked. Ears werent cleaned, nails werent clipped, and who knows nothing else was done. I called the store talked to the lady and she said she couldnt do anything to my dog, he was overwhelmed, he wouldnt want to be touched. So I said "I talked to u when u said he is ready for pick up and u didnt say anything about this", her reply was "I was going to tell on the pick up but I was on lunch". So basically nothing was done to him but i still paid in full (this is the same exact case in 2017). I wonder why my dog has an issue ONLY to this place and nowhere else, he probably could sense how bad pets are being treated here by these so-called groomers. So again, theyve always been a rip off! Save your time, money, and energy and AVOID this salon as much u can, please!!! Edit: made a review on their survey, a manager called me and I got my money back. Review for Management: the store has an excellent selection of products no doubt about that. However, after my visit today I don't think I will return. Once again, from the minute I walk into the store I'm struck with the overwhelming stench of urnine and my throat starts feeling itchy. This location is the only store that gives me this reaction. I do not have allergies and I can visit any other pet store, Petco, PetValu, Boutique and never have this reaction. This store is disgusting, smells and makes me itch everytime I walk in. Enough is enough. You guys need to give the store some TLC and upgrade your filters or change your filters more often bc the store is gross and makes me not want to purchase anything. When I "rescued" my boxer puppy from an Amish farm last week, she smelled so bad. Like a barnyard animal. Couldn't get the smell off of her. Took her into Petsmart and they made me a grooming appointment for the next morning. She smelled LOVELY when I picked her up. You cannot beat their "puppy package" -- good up until 6 months of age. For $10.99, she got a bath, ear cleaning, and nail clipping. The staff here is friendly, for the most part. They've helped me carry stuff to my car on numerous occassions, including a very bulky crate. Keith, one of the dog trainers, is an exceptional young guy. Very helpful, informative, and kind. Coming from someone who almost always strays away from evil "chain" corporations, I've had surprisingly positive experiences at the Promenade Petsmart. I will keep coming back! read more

PetSmart Grooming - Ask for Olga! I have used Olga's grooming services for my two Shelties for over three (3) years. She has always done a wonderful job with their grooming/haircuts. Because of the fragile condition of my older dog, Olga is aways very careful to file her nails instead of clipping. There are some 7am appointments so that you can avoid the crowded/rush hours. I have been taking my two Pekingnese dogs (about 5 years old) to PetSmart grooming in Bridgewater for YEARS and have never had any problems whatsoever, except that a couple times they shaved too close to their wieners and they were uncomfortable for a few days after. After that, I asked that they steer clear of that area altogether and there's been ZERO incidents. I had to post this because there's too much negativity posted here about the grooming salon, and not enough good said about it! My dogs are never afraid to be there that I've seen, and for those that do shake some, it's never been because I've seen a groomer being rough with them. big store, big parking lot. went on a saturday early afternoon and it was a busy scene. there were people out front asking for donations to help save homeless animals and also foster dogs up for adoption inside in the back. i asked someone to help me carry the giant folding dog crate out to my car with me because clearly my pup on his leash and holding 2 other bags of food, i would not be able to do it on my own. this surely must not be an usual request in this store, but it did seem to throw 3 sales' clerks off. good selection of food brands and toys. read more

First person we meet who had trained deaf dogs. He might be able to talk and work with dogs so I have been told but his human communication skills leave a little to be desired. read more
