This store is one of the cleaner pet stores I've been to, including other stores outside of PetSmart. The staff welcomes you as soon as you walk in the door. What I don't care for is the difference in price, and the packages shown online, for the grooming salon. I order a certain package for a certain amount and when I get there, they always charge something else and some services were considered add-ons, when they were included in a package on the website. When a staff member told me about the price difference, I asked her why this isn't made clear on the website? It happens every time. But, Ruby likes them and they do a good job with her. Your average petsmart. Nothing bad and nothing amazing. The fish tanks at this store are actually clean and seem to be well maintained unlike the ofallon location. Definitely check dates on dog and cat food sometimes they're expired, so just be weary of that. read more

Just visited petsmart in Belleville and the customer service was awesome. When my order rang up at $199 to my surprise, Christine suggested I get the app on my phone to save money. KYLE ended up helping me ti that. They were very busy, I felt back holding everybody up but Christine assured me there were plenty employees to take care of customers. So glad I did it. I wish I could leave a lower rating. I purchaced 10 neon tetras, 5 cloud mountain minnows, and 6 red minor red tetras. While netting fish(especially the neon tetras) the associate showed no regard for the fish what so ever. He would stir up tank so they would be suspended and disoriented. 4 fish jumped out landed on table or floor. After finally suduing the fish he just flip them back in tank. At least 2 were floating before I left. I live fairly close to store. After no.more than 15 minutes passing almost every neon tetra and white moutain was dead. They offered me a refund. I feel with confidence this individual will repeat this type of behavior again. Not that there is any interest on their part but I will not make any form of purchase there again. read more

Rude and unprofessional groomers. They wouldn't take us because my dog "tried to bite". It's apparently for her safety, but they get bit all the time. GIANT inconsistent LIARS!!! My dog was calm the entire time, has 3 teeth and never tried to bite in her life. They had the nerve to say she needed to be sedated. I feel it was due to personality conflict when I finally got tired of their rudeness and started matching their energy. Apparently, I'm not the only one with the problem. COUNTRY KENNEL IS $20 CHEAPER, WAY MORE COMPETENT, AND FRIENDLIER!! Took her there right after with know issues!!! In fact, they raves about her temperament!!! read more

My daughter wanted to treat me by getting my dog groomed for Mother's Day. This was last minute because she was also taking me to lunch. She reviewed groomers in our local area and saw that the PetSmart in a town nearby had 4.6 stars out of 384 reviews. She then contacted them and they had an open slot. I personally walked my dog in and spoke with the groomer. I informed the groomer that my dog did have some areas that matted due to his collar and issues with his ears matting. The groomer did inform if there were to be matting they charge an additional fee per 1/2 an hour. I called my daughter to make sure I had gone over everything that was to be expected. My daughter provided a picture of exactly what we were wanting and the groomer agreed as well as showing me the hair chart. The groomer did what I believe to be a thorough rubdown of his coat and assured me there should not be any issues. I then made sure she had both telephone numbers to contact us if there were to be any issues. I stressed to the groomer this is my Service Dog and we're never apart. Couple of hours went by and we decided to check-in just to make sure everything was okay. I stopped by the ladies room and my daughter would go in to retrieve my dog and pay. Before I walked thru the door my daughter's face said it all. My dog who has been thoroughly trained was now jumping almost into my arms as I walked thru the door. He was both jumping and skittish at the same time. My eyes immediately filled with tears because he was now unrecognizable both mentally and physically. One of the groomers asked if we wanted a manager and I immediately said yes. We spoke at length to Katelyn who we were informed was the manager. At the time Katelyn stated she understood. I asked why weren't we at least contacted and informed that there were issues with him. Katelyn at that time informed policy had not been followed. She informed that PetSmart's policy was to contact the owner if issues arose. At that time she displayed compassion and appeared to be somewhat empathetic informing she could not put hair back on his body. When we arrived home we noticed that he would flinch when touched and now appear skittish. While feeding him and under the lights we noticed what appears to be patches and him looking close to have been razor shaven. None of the grooming that was discussed was followed. My dog's feet, ears and mouth were still dirty. The cut to his feet shows both long and short strands. His ears are dirty and full of hair. I then contacted PetSmart wanting to review the video just because his demeanor was completely off. I was informed they would have Katelyn contact me. Katelyn contacted me and wanted to know what else I needed assistance with because after reviewing the video and that I signed off to everything I received. I informed her lack of compassion was alarming and quite disheartening. I informed her I was contacting her on what I believe are legitimate concerns and I felt she was being quite dismissive. Katelyn then informed me of Petsmart's vigorous training and that the groomer had over nine years of experience. I then reiterated to her my concerns and that this is my service dog who I need to alert for medical emergencies. Katelyn then informed me that she does not know what I am expecting. I then asked to possibly view the video and she then informed she would contact legal and inform me if that is possible. read more

Our groomer moved to Florida and we were having difficulty finding a new groomer that had appointments on weekends. We were needing a groomer pretty quick because our little dog's hair was out of control and we were leaving our dogs with our neighbors the next weekend and we didn't want them having to clean her every time she did her business. So, we took our golden doodle and our little maltipoo to Petsmart. The maltipoo had some matting on her rear, so we figured she'd be short back there. Our golden doodle had some matting a little bit on his legs, but it was nothing that a conditioner and a good detangler couldn't get out. They shaved EVERYTHING. So far down that I'm going to have to put sun block on both of them for at least a month. My golden doodle is 7 yrs old. We've had instances where he's had to be cut short, but this is utterly ridiculous! His hair was only 1 1/2 - 2 inches long to begin with...and I know it wasn't matted at all on top. I RARELY write reviews, but this is so bad had to warn others. I've attached before and after pics. read more

Had the most horrific experience there just now. Took Bailey to get his nails grinded, and a young lady Amber was the one who was to take care of him today. I wait outside the grooming area so they can do their thing but I can observe them. As I am standing there I see her tussling around with him and she's wildly jerking his legs. She looked visibly angry and the situation was getting worse. My poor Bailey. I couldn't take it so I went in to get him. She says she didn't finish and I told her she was done and to get him off the table before he really gets hurt. He's been panting and throwing up since I got him home. I will never take my dogs back to PetSmart. The salon at the Belleville IL Crossing location has the worst customer service. This is something I have dealt with over and over. I'm 100% done with it. I am still so mad about the grooming of my dog. The head groomer worked on him. No one informed me about the gashes he suffered. He was cut in two sensitive spots (don't wanna get graphic). He had to go to the vet. The only reason for the one stars is because I can't go lower. The staff was pleasant when I took them the two vet bills, but it has been six weeks and I have not been reimbursed. I will never take my dog back!!!!! read more

I had used them in the past and my dogs were actually groomed and looked/smelled good when I picked them up. Yet, this time...my dogs had not been groomed, they had been bathed and brushed. My dogs are chows so they need to be kept trimmed and shaved in areas to keep them from getting matted and disgusting. They did a horrible job and I will NEVER take my dogs there again. I will NEVER take my dog here to get groomed ever again I used to take him all the time until I was told I will be charged extra because he likes to lay down then there was a point where that even didn't want to service him grooming a dog is caring and a patient job you guys just don't seem to have the characteristics. The previous times I got his hair cut his coat was patchy and not as smooth as you promised I will now be take my services to petco and they will get my tips. Reasonably priced fish selection. Store is clean, staff are friendly and good at ensuring that you know what you're buying. After all, you wouldn't want to buy a bala shark or a pleco for your ten gal tetra tank. I've purchased 20 fish from them so far and haven't had a die-off yet. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO THE GROOMER HERE! I took my dog here on Monday. He didn't seem right after picking him up. Later that night he suffered a seizure. I took him to the vet, and he said that he had a broken vertebrae as well. We ended up having to put him down on Tuesday. I know Petsmart is responsible for this as he had been a healthy dog before with great reports from the vet in previous visits. Please do not take your dog here as it could possibly be in the same situation as me. read more

If you are one minute late for an appointment (literally!) they are calling you and advising you that they will cancel your appointment at 5 minutes after.
