I come here once a month to get Dr. Marty freeze dried dog food. It's a little more expensive here than online by a few dollars a bag; however, they have a program if you buy 10 bags, your 11th bag is free. The customer service is superb. The store manager, Jody, is excellent. They have lots of parking and the store is never too busy. I really enjoy shopping here. read more

Okay so there was this orange-tabby cat In the store named Mason. Mason had been there in a tiny cage for 3+ weeks and I tried adopting him multiple times before I got on the phone with somebody that works there and they said I could adopt him. So I went over to the store and they said I couldn't adopt him because he had bit somebody handling him. And so I just got 2 albino plecos for my son By the way they also have a horrible selection of fish and every time they have a good selection the fish are always unavailability. If you want good service and good selection gor pets and grooming just go to perfect paws. The people who work there are rude and don't care about what you buy or how they treat you. read more

My Border Collie came in for a bath and nail care. He came out smelling fabulous! His coat was shinny and he was so happy to be clean again. He has long hair and they brushed him out beautifully. I took my Papillon to them once before and I was extremely pleased but when I picked up my beautiful girl I was shocked she no longer even looks like a Papillon she was butchered no feathers remain even her beautiful waterfall tail was chopped off. I used to live in PHX and would frequent the Petsmart and Petco. When I moved back to Show Low, I was happy to find a good sized pet store in town. Yet I was slightly disappointed in the store as I browsed. It does have a good amount of product, yet its the little things that the other big pets stores spoiled me with that I missed. A big minus to PetSense would be the lack of a detailed online store. I cannot have a standing order of dog food such as I could at other websites. I suppose this is a little thing, however, even walking thru the store it seems bare to me. I recommened this place because it gets the job done, they do offer a frequent buyer program which lets you earn a free bag of food after a certain number of purchases. Yet I will be doing my large purchases and vitamin ordering thru larger stores. read more

If I could give negative stars I most definitely would. Nobody was nice from the second we walked in the, customer service was nonexistent. They told us about an hour, 2 hours later she was done and when they brought her out to us she was BLEEDING on her nail, when asked what happened they said she hurt it trying to get out of a kennel. Then when I asked about an unexplained charged I couldn't even get a straight answer. My dog has been to a few different groomers in the valley and to classic canine here in the white mountains and every time she's been anywhere they've had nothing but good things to say. When I brought up all of my concerns all they had to say was she was a little out excited?? Please do not take any of your pets here. read more

I was pleased to find a good store to buy premium pet foods. The clerk was very friendly and helpful and prices were reasonable.

Awful called to make appointment for my two dogs to get nails done. Was told no need for appointment walk in was fine. Brought my two dogs in right after I called and was told by the very snippy girl in the grooming dept that she was very busy and I'd have to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes? Meanwhile my dogs are going crazy with all the pet adoptions going on. So frustrating! I left and called the manager who really didn't care much about what I told her. I won't go back! I wouldn't have anything to do with the snippy angry girl doing the grooming as I'm sure she isn't nice to the animals based on her anger to even be working Beware read more

We just moved to Show Low, and adopted the sweetest little dog. She needed her nails trimmed, though. I stopped in to inquire the cost and when I could make an appointment at Petsense. The staff was SO friendly!!! They asked if I could wait just a few minutes because they could fit in our little dog if I had time! They trimmed her nails right in front of me, gave both our little dogs a treat, helped get their attention so I could take photos, and told us to have a great day! The price for the nail trim was very reasonable, especially considering I had no appointment. I will be back! :) read more

I'm not from here, I'm visiting family. Me and my roommate were looking at cats and I seen 2 kittens in the bottom cage that had no description of age, gender, etc.. there was an older blonde woman who seemed to be tending to the cats. I asked her what kind of kittens they were. She looked at me, rolled her eyes and said black and white... I could clearly see one was black and one was black and white. I told her I meant the gender, we're they male or female. She just looked at me with a rude expression and said one of each.... I was interested in these kittens. She could've been nicer and told me which cat was which instead of having such a nasty attitude. I left just because of her attitude. I wouldn't recommend anyone come here. read more

You can buy many of the same product at Walmart for half the price. When Petsense first opened in Show Low I was so happy to be able to buy premium dog food without having to go to Flagstaff or the Valley for it. The first years they were great, good prices and very friendly people. We even took our Pup for training there. What a change in the last year. I was treated so rudely by one of their Employees that I refuse to step foot in their store again. I use to spent on average $60.00 to $100.00 a month there on food, toys and treats. I now order on line from PetsMart or Dr. Foster and Smith for my dogs needs. Can always find what I want and the Shipping is no more than Show Low Sales tax. read more

It is a large store, I'm moving to Showlow and last week on a visit I went in to browse the dog food,, and I found the young ladies working in the store to be very rude. My daughter agreed and was actually getting angry. So I will stay with the feed stores. Merrick and Acana ,Evo and Blue are no China or 1 % So Tractor Supply Company is my choice. I have to agree with some of the other reviewers. This store has some rude people working at it. The "manager" knows very little about pet care and pet products. The stores shelf stock is missing some staple items necessary for modern pet care. Lastly, their prices are way over the top, I've shopped at pet stores on Rodeo Drive in Hollywood, CA that were less expensive. read more
