My children (an me to be honest) love to look at the hamsters, rats and gerbils as well as the rabbits (there is one massive house rabbit who is gorgeous) and guinea pigs. If fish are your interest then there is a lovely selection to choose from as well as tanks from 10 + Staff are really friendly and helpful and they obviously show the animals for sale great care and attention. An incredibly useful little pet shop is Baldwins as it sells pretty much anything you could want for the usual domestic pet and it is nice to be able to get these goods without the usual trip to a big pet department on an industrial estate. The shop holds an amazing array of goods and is quite deceptive in size as there is a second section to go into that is not immediately obvious on first entering. Also great are the adds on the window and noticeboard .. if you are looking to buy a pet, these adds really should be your first port of call!

He could have easily just sell me some decoration but he didn't which I appreciate and I will go back this week to get two more goldfish :)

Old fashioned pet store…read more It's old fashioned in as much as its laid out in a fashion more akin to a store in an Istanbul souk rather than the modern minimalist clean cut ways of the west. Stacked to the rafters with pet parafenalia it's the place to get all your pet needs met. For fellow cat owners they sell catnip mice that cause our cat to go a little mental and within a couple of days disembowel the cheap little toy. She loves 'em and it's a pleasure to watch her go mental.
