The cost of the insurance is actually fully made up because it includes all his shots and two annual exams plus dental cleaning. Today Luciano needs an update on his Bordetella vaccine. This is very important because he needs it if I have to board him in a Dog Baording facility in an emergency or if I want to travel. The shot needs to be administered at least two weeks before boarding so this is important to make sure he is always up-to-date. The hours are super convenient and the staff is wonderful.

The owner insisted a voicemail had been left (it wasn't), and the dismissive, unapologetic tone made an already heartbreaking situation feel incredibly cruel. Denying an adoption is understandable, but allowing someone to travel hours before communicating concerns shows a shocking lack of compassion and professionalism. We have been a part of the TNR program for just over a year and we find it very content in doing what we can for the organization. I was in the area and decided to stop by P.B. to check it out. My original destination was to be PetSmart, but chose P.B. since it was right there at the intersection of Sunland Park. I walked in and it seemed nice. They had exactly what I was looking for, to include a round scratcher with a ball for the Cats to play with. They even had replacement circles for it. I was happy to find them as quickly as I did, but I have to say it was the staff that helped me out since I did not know the store. The Cat section was actually pretty small in comparison to other stores I have been to over the past year. They did, however, have an Aquarium section. Now this is where the 2 Stars come from. The Live Freshwater section was not designed well, there was not a large selection of anything for actual products, and there were no Tanks available to purchase other than a couple off to the side on stands. I have been an Aquarist for over 40 years and as a hardcore expert, I was sad to see the lack of professionalism and design of this area. It's as if the store did not want to sell anything. Most of the products available had dust indicating they had been there for quite some time. I did manage to talk to the Staff member that took care of the area and after having a long discussion, she felt that management did not actually care about the Aquarium section as if they wanted the section to not exist. I felt sad for her because she had solid knowledge and ambition to make her area perfect, and profitable but was unable to do anything. I hope Pet's Barn takes an honest interest and renovates the entire section to offer great products and Live fish. Every coral and base came broken. I spent an afternoon supergluing corals and the company sent a…read morenew base. All 5 of the bases have cracks and float. After days of filling with water, they sort of sink but never level out. The top bases 1. Do not match up qith the bottom bases 2. Tip forward or backwards and do not stay on top. I tried glue, putty, tipping the bottom bases different ways- nothing works because the top and bottoms bases do not even close to match up (and float.) Finally, the paint is not durable. If you wash them,you will have white corals. For the $1,200 I spent on these, I am highly disappointed with the quality. They are FAR worse than the $75 one I got at Petco. They have 2 functional jobs: sink and stack, and they fail at both.

From the moment we arrived, I was genuinely wowed by the level of care, attention, and one-on-one customer service my dogs received. The groomers were kind, patient, and clearly attentive to my pets' comfort, which made all the difference. You could really feel that they took pride in their work and cared deeply about the animals. I honestly wish I had known sooner how much the experience can vary between locations, because I would have gladly driven the extra 25 minutes to this Montana Avenue location instead of going to the Northeast location in the past. I love this Pet Barn for the quick pet fix! Its definitely smaller than their other locations…read morearound town and it is more geared towards dog and cat owners, though they have some stuff for other pets. I believe I saw they had food for roosters....but I digress. I often find myself headed to the park and need a small ball to throw with the my pup Besos, so stopping by here is great for a quick toy and treat fix. Treats for the dogs that is, though the way they make their in-house made dog treats, you'd swear they were for humans too! I would say Besos loves the blueberry treats and Huggy Bear loves the Pumpkin treats but in all honesty they eat all the treats with as much excitement and vigor that it makes it hard to discern. I will have to comment that the staff could really use a boost or retraining as some of them are really slow at the register. I've been a couple of times and for some reason, unbeknown to me, the register seems to give the cashier a difficult time. And for get returning something and asking for store credit so that you can just buy something else because that will really throw the cashier for a loop! Overall, it's a great way to grab some treats for the four legged companions but beware of the variant cashier competency.
