I've been consistently impressed by NW Neighborhood vet! I've taken my senior cat Ginger there for…read more3 years now. Her primary vet is Dr Hook but due to some urgent issues she has seen a few different vets there, who are all super wonderful and sweet with her. The docs all go above and beyond to call me and make sure I have ample opportunities to discuss her care and answer my questions. They even are responsive via email in a timely manner. yesterday I called at 8 am to see if I could emergently get her in due to her getting sick, and they told me to come on over and drop her off and they squeezed her in for the day while I was at work! Super helpful and kind staff from the front desk staff to the techs and doctors. Ginger was given a poor prognosis with an xray showing a mediastinal tumor yesterday but she's already turning the corner with the steroids. Super thankful for their care!!

I've been using NW Neighborhood Vet for over 6 years and overall the service has been fairly…read morestandard, but my recent experiences have left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. One consistent issue has been continuity of care. There are many different staff members, and I rarely see the same technician twice, which makes it harder to build consistency in treatment and communication. I've also felt like some treatment plans have felt trial-and-error, which has added up financially without getting the results I need for my cat and dog. In a recent experience involving my dog's surgery planning, I felt there was a lack of flexibility and communication around logistics and payment timing, which added unnecessary stress to the process. During my most recent visit, I also noticed a strong litter box smell in the facility, which was off-putting. While it's convenient that they offer parking (though it is small and could use maintenance), my overall impression is that the experience has become less consistent over time. Based on my experience, I would recommend comparing options and looking for a clinic that offers more consistent communication, transparency, and continuity of care.

When I received him back he resembled a self concious rat with no mostache and his nails were not done on his left side. In addition there were gouge marks in his coat. I was upset and for 96 dollars I expected some semblance of symetry. Instead Bogie looked like a troglodyte. When I returned home my wife marched down there and had his nails done and demanded a full refund. The manager said that it would grow out. I thought wow what if I shaved the hell out of the groomer in the parking lot Brittany Spears style and told her that it would grow out? I talk about this freely with the Masters of many Pedigrees and no insult to injury. I would not trust my beloved in the hands of them. Bogie still is not grown out to make it look good. Shameful.

I've been looking for a regular daycare facility for my recently adopted pup. It took almost 3…read moreweeks to get the evaluation appointment scheduled and was told it could be anywhere from 1-1.5hrs. I brought my pup in, who is anxious around new people and new pups, and takes a while to warm up. She is also very attached to me which is part of the reason why I want her in a regular daycare facility. I let the gal at the front desk know, she takes a minute to warm up, but once she does, she does perfectly fine. She's been boarded at another facility overnight before and has been to their daycare facility multiple times and the staff have reported no issues. DDI is just closer to my work and more convenient. The gal said she would take my dog in and slowly introduce her to other dogs to see how she does and go from there. She said I was welcomed to get a coffee across the street or wait in my car. I barely had time to get across the street to order said coffee when the gal called to say "yeah, this isn't gonna work out." You mean, my anxious pup, the one I'm trying to get socialized around other humans and pups, started nervous barking and trying to get thru the gate back to me because you gave her less than 15 mins to warm up to a new environment, new people, and new dogs, didn't instantly want to play with everyone? But she's the problem? The gal suggested getting my dog into play groups (she's already in obedience training and has no problems there), or socialize her with other dogs (wtf do you think I'm trying to do??), and dog parks (revolutionary). She also suggested I bring her back when she turns 2 (in less than 3 months) because age might make a difference. Sure, and at that point she'll have also been better socialized as well. They completely missed the mark on this one. I second other peoples sentiments about the evaluation process because it was less than ideal and a complete waste of my time.

My aussie got her first heat cycle at 8 months and I was told she was allowed back in a few weeks once her cycle was complete. She was attending day care and training sessions a couple times a week. Unfortunately, I had some other personal matters come up and will be moving so I asked for a refund. They will not offer a refund on services and offered store credit instead. Okay, fine. I scheduled a weekend boarding to use up my remaining credit and I get a text this morning asking if my dog was spayed, if not she was not allowed to return. I understand the need for the policy but I was never made aware and was told previously by a staff member it was not necessary. I am not in a position to get her spayed right now, plus I am moving states next month. They still refuse to offer a refund of nearly $300. That is a good chunk of money that apparently they intend to keep. Doesn't matter that store credit never expires, I will not be able to use it. They made a mistake with lack of employee knowledge on policies and refuse to right their mistake and now stealing my money. This is wrong. I was emailing the owner back and forth and I am disappointed with their handling of this situation. I had my dog groomed and bathed on 2 separate occasions and she came back with mats and not dried properly. Some staff members were very standoffish and unwelcoming at drop off. There is no access to cameras and I was denied access to the facility to see where my precious pup would be. I do not recommend this facility.

Traveling should never be stressful for you or your dog. I would be a great option for you of you adopted a dog from a shelter/rescue as I have the training and background for it. I offer puppy/dog socialization for anyone needing to socialize their pups around other vaccinated dog-friendly dogs. If you are looking to board your dog with us we send daily updates and pictures of your dog(s) unless requested otherwise. Completely comfortable administering scheduled/needed medications while in our care. Families are more than welcome to schedule a call to ask any questions and I can answer them as well as elaborate on my work experience and qualification's. I love and enjoy cats very much, I offer pet sitting services for cat owners as well and have a kitty room that's completely cat friendly or I can travel to your residence once or twice a day to care for your cat(s) and do wellness checks on them/spend time with them if you live 20 minutes or under from my residence. I also offer this to dog owners who would rather have their dog stay in the comfort or their home IF AND ONLY IF they have a humane setup for their dog at home and do not have scheduled medications needing administered at a strict time.

Unfortunately, after just a couple of sessions, I had to eat the cost and stop taking Bernie there. I think Julie W. says it best in her review in October 2017: "You know how there are some places you begin to have bad feeling about, but try to ignore them because of history or convenience? Fetch is one of them." The space is very echoey (is that a word?) and the employees are constantly yelling (I'm not sure why). It would freak Bernie out. I came one day early to watch him in there and he was cowered in a corner. The owner brought him to me and you could tell Bernie was totally terrified. They have so many dogs, and not enough people to care for them. The people who worked there when I was there ranged from midely polite to completely checked out/seemed stoned. I ate the cost of this and as a frugal person, this isn't something that I do often. Bummer because the location was so convenient. Bernie gets along well with ALL dogs. This place just terrified him and I don't trust the staff.

(It shares the space with a coffee shop so there are like 6 spots total to share.) I called in and they said she had to be approved with paperwork as well as a 30 min behavioral assessment. There's a drop off area with a counter but then they take your dog back where owners aren't allowed. I understand why now. I initially bought a 5, half day pass for $90. I took her and when I picked her up she was WILD. I thought maybe it was because this was her first time at a daycare and she was super excited. So I didn't think too much of it. That night I found a large mark on her stomach and called the vet. They said it couldn't been rough play but they weren't sure, and to keep an eye on it. That night my dog wouldn't go to the bathroom at all. I stayed up well past my normal time taking her out to try and go. I wake up about 3 hours later to find she had diarrhea all over the house. 45 minutes of cleaning that and she throws up and then goes to the bathroom again. Again, I thought maybe it was because of all the excitement. Because I bought the pass and I didn't have care set up for her while I went to work the next day..I took her back to see if that first time was just a fluke. It definitely was not!! When I picked her up she was completely drenched and while I hoped it was water..she wreaked of pee. I took her home and gave her a bath and she was so scared. I had never seen her behave like this. The same thing happened that night where she wouldn't go to the bathroom and in the night she pooped everywhere (I found out later they just let them poop anywhere. My dog is potty trained so this behavior is abnormal) She threw up again and at this point stopped eating. I immediately called the vet and they had her come in for an emergency visit where they discovered ROUND WORMS. They said chances are because they let them poop everywhere..that she stepped in it and maybe licked her paws at some point...but anyway they said I shouldn't continue taking her there. I then emailed Ted (the owner) explaining that situation in which I NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. A few days later I called back to see what's going on and the front desk person said, 'oh, there's a check here for you' and hung up. They refunded the 3 out of 5 stays I didn't use. This is a dirty place and unless you want to deal with your dog getting sick and needing antibiotics, I would highly recommend taking her somewhere else!
