We just took our dog here for a "meet and greet" the other day. and everyone was so friendly and welcoming, especially the manager Kiersten. They introduced our dog to the other dogs and let him play for about 6 hours. We gave them our shot records, talked about his eating and behavioral habits, and we were all set :) I will update this after our dog has his nearly week-long boarding trip, but it seems like a great place with caring people so far!

My foster is a husky mix who had experienced neglect and had lots of matting, and had likely never been groomed. The Grateful Pets staff really put me at ease and communicated throughout the process so I knew what to expect. Just stepping into Happy Dog Spot made me feel like this was a clean and safe place for our puppy. Happy dog spot has pictures of their staff on the wall with their names on it. Also, each staff member has been more than friendly and seem happy to take car of our growing lab pup. We started taking our puppy there a few months ago. He is so excited to go there each time. Happy Dog Spot is professional and friendly. They have their day care dogs arrive by a certain hour so that all are equally tired out and they play better together as a group. I like how the play area is set up and how they have different equipment/ramps for dog entertainment. They do a great job and give us a report on how our puppy is doing each time. Happy Dog Spot has a unique personal touch.

So, I'm going to simply copy/paste what I wrote then because my opinion hasn't changed. I will add that I have found better services than the other daycare facility I referred to as "my current daycare". Still ... A Howlin' Good Time is the best! (I wish I could rate this 100 Stars!) When I lived in Missouri, earlier this year, my Gracie went to A Howlin' Good Time daycare from the day she was old enough to have her Bordetella shot (at 12 weeks old). Gracie also spent several nights at A Howlin' Good Time and took advantage of their grooming services. While we were in Missouri, I knew this was a 5-Star facility and I knew my Gracie got the best love and service one could get. But I never realized how good A Howlin' Good Time is until I moved away and have used other daycare and overnight services. At A Howlin' Good Time, every staff person knows each pet's name and they know each pet's personal belongings, like harnesses, leashes, etc. At my current daycare, Gracie sometimes comes home with a nametag on her collar (which concerns me that her collar isn't removed during the day) and her name is written on masking tape and stuck to her leach (although I have my nametag on her leash and have asked them to not put masking tape on it). I always thought Gracie didn't love me as much as the Howlin' Good Time staff ... especially Adam. She was always happy to get to daycare, each morning, and not always thrilled to leave. At her new daycare, the staff processes Gracie in and out ... it's almost like she's a number in queue. And she's not so excited about being there. When I picked up Gracie from A Howlin' Good Time, she was mostly clean ... only ruffled from playing so hard with other fur babies. And best of all, she was exhausted from her day's activities. Now when I pick her up from her new daycare, she has wood chip shavings in her hair and she's a mess. At A Howlin' Good Time, potty time is outside in the cleanest environment. In addition to A Howlin' Good Time providing a clean and safe facility, they provide constant attention and entertainment. I've seen photos where the pups chase soap bubbles and play with toys ... as well as take a nap in a separate safe cubicle. They have a full day of attention and activity. The Howlin' Good Time price and fee structure is absolutely reasonable and worth every penny I paid. Gracie got a great start in life with socialization and with trusting people who gave her such loving care. There are not enough words to describe how great Michele and her staff are and how superior A Howlin' Good Time is to three other facilities I've used, since I moved from Missouri. I think Michele's next venture should be consulting with pet care facility owners so better options can be found in other cities. She certainly knows what she's doing and Gracie & I love Michele and her staff for all of the great care we got.

When contacted about their insurance because of the fire (we don't have a few grand for unexpected…read moremedical expenses laying around) we were met with radio silence as to the insurer as well as a response that there's a waiver (they won't provide a copy of) so they don't need to address our concerns. Look we get that our dog could come back with kennel cough (even if they are vaxed) or some parasite because some other dog gave them something - not that the whole building burned down (which no one told us about! Had to find out via a neighbor who happened to see it on FB). When we politely asked for their insurance info again we were met with "we don't have to answer that and we are now sending anything else to spam and will throw away any letter you send us" I don't know about everyone else but that's not how I think you run a business especially after almost killing 70 dogs.

I have only brought my dog one other place, much more "fancy." They had cameras you could look in on the play area. My dog just sat in the corner alone not even the workers would play with her (that I saw). I was recommend grand haven from a friend's mom. I would 100% bring them both back there. I was a little worried because my dog has a lot of separate anxiety and my kitty is def and blind. They both did great there. Some of the things I really like were that they weren't overloaded with pets, each dog seemed to have its own indoor and outdoor area, and from what I could tell the dogs got one on one attention with the workers. Both of the young girls I met seemed to really enjoy their job and made me very comfortable at drop off and pick up. I could tell my kitty got lots of love and cuddles. When I picked them up I saw my dog outside and I watched her for a bit. She was running around doing dog things, I was glad to see her not just sitting sulking. This was a very good sign to me. I know she had to have a good time because when I got her home she hopped on the couch and slept almost the entire rest of the day! Thank you for taking great care of my babies!

The staff at Stargate took it upon themselves to get a rotisserie chicken so that she would start to eat again and feel better. Now I know to bring pouches of cooked chicken which the staff graciously mixes with her food for each meal. I also love that she gets one on one playtime with the staff and that they send photos everyday during playtime! Highly recommend.

Their facilities are top notch, but my favorite part is that they divide dogs based not only on size but also activity level. At a different daycare, they had all of the dogs together in one big room, but here our energetic husky is paired with other high-energy dogs of a similar size. This has been such a game changer for her. On days my husband and I work longer, we're confident that she is in great hands and having a fun time. The dogs also have the option of playing indoors or outdoors and easy access between the two. We've paid for some of their services and have no complaints about their grooming or nail trimming. We love that they offer special treats, too, like a birthday treat or pictures with Santa. We also board our husky with them and have had great experiences. Their pricing is very transparent, and they take great care of their boarders. Our girl has a sensitive stomach and requires a more complicated feeding routine, and they were happy to accommodate us. They also kept us updated while we were on a trip when she basically ate a wasp and got stung. They treated her with our permission and sent us photo/activity updates. Also, they post pictures and will print some for you take, which is another small thing we love about Sled & Breakfast!
