Exhibit has a number of branches though this is the first to open in the Abbey Centre and indeed Newtownabbey. They sell your basic run of the mill fashion trend clothing. It is quite a small shop though they do manage to squeeze a fair bit in. I've bought a few pieces out of here, mostly in the sale which offers some great prices for what would have been over priced fashion clothing (in my opinion) but in the sale I don't mind (I know I sound like a cheap skate!) I've seen a couple of imitation Ed Hardy pieces here which look pretty cool and they're a fraction of the price you would get them if they were the genuine article!

Based in the Boucher Road retail park, Matalan provides affordable fashion for all ages, shapes and…read moresizes. This particular store is relatively big with a great range of stock for a variety of tastes. Matalan fashion is usually promoted in magazines, with customers seeing key pieces and rushing for their nearest stores to grab them. My advice especially with store, ring before you head down to purchase that amazing jumpsuit or winter coat as they usually have been bought up as soon as they arrive in store! It's such a pity that Matalan proves so popular. However, if you're the customer that manages to grab the bargain, it's a great reward! The store is well presented with each department being easily located. As well as this, each age range and clothing choice is separated so you know exactly where an item is placed and so can go directly to get it. The staff are friendly and on a recent trip, one girl in particular went out of her way to try and find a skirt I had seen in a recent glossy magazine. It's that little extra effort that is really appreciated by customers and has us coming back for more!
Now my mum and sister swear by Matalan. For those unaware of what category this shop plumps into,…read moreit would be like an expensive Primark. The clothes are cheaper than designer shops but more expensive than cheap shops. So for me it kind of is stuck somewhere on the fence. It is not "fancy enough" to be one of those shops that you go to for "meeting the parents" dinner clothes, but it is not cheap enough for the "going on holidays so chances are the clothes will either be covered in suncream or sand or alcohol". It's a bit of a nothing clothes shop. This store has been redesigned to give men's clothing almost an entire floor upstairs but for me it's just a bit of a bland store. But my mum and my sister swear by it so maybe it's more of a women's store than mens.
One of the newest editions to Bow Street Mall, having only opened its doors in April, Pink is a new…read moreladies 'boutique' (not exactly what I would've called it, but hey). It's geared towards women in their teens and twenties, with much of the stock consisting of floral dresses, leggings, fancy tops, unusual jackets and skinny jeans. Think a cross between Streetlife and NV, and you'll not be far wrong. There are quite a lot of random little shops like Pink popping up all over the place, and to be honest, most of their clothes are all a bit samey. While Pink did have a good sale on (£5 rail was an instant winner), their clothes weren't really all that different to what I've seen elsewhere. In saying that, I did spot a couple of pretty tops for £7.50, but their delicate embellishment around the collar put me off ever so slightly. I also spotted a pretty black floral blouse, but since I'm a bit miserable when it comes to spending money on clothes and really rather enjoy a bargain, I felt £20 was a bit too much to spend on a see-through top (naturally I'd wear something underneath, but the fact that it was so thin meant that its value somewhat deteriorated in my mind). I did like most of the clothes though, and although some of them did come across as a wee bit tacky, most of the garments were quite pretty. So, I wasn't exactly left tickled Pink, but then again, pretty in Pink was never exactly my look...

Not so anymore. The clothes are quite expensive, especially the party dresses which I add, everyone seems to have. So you end up paying a fortune just to look the same as thirteen other girls in the club. The quality of the clothing is usually good but double check any jumpsuits, dresses or tops with a boned structure as these bones often pierce through the material causing small holes in your new outfit. This store has the central pieces of each designed theme or season but more obscure items are harder to locate. The store is relatively smaller than you would expect for such an extensive retail park
