Petro-Canada - Neighbours convenience store on a cloudy afternoon

On Saturday, I was on my way to Brampton. I was driving along the 401 and the low fuel indicator…read morecame on my car's dashboard. I had a feeling that I'd likely run out of gas by the time that I got to my destination and decided to find a gas station after I got on and off highway 427. I am pretty familiar with this part of Mississauga. Before my company moved to its current office location, the old office was on the opposite side of the airport. After work, I'd drive up Goreway Drive to either backroad it home or take the 407 ETR. Of note, when you go northbound on Goreway, you only get the 407 eastbound ramp. It worked well for me, but probably still sucks for westbounders. I remembered this Petro-Canada at the corner of Goreway and Morning Star. However, I had never dropped by for the over ten years that I have frequented this area until yesterday. I don't remember it being so bright and clean! It used to have that old Petro-Canada look, with brown as its main colour. I liked the facelift. I believe that it got spruced up because Westwood Mall, steps away from it, went through major renovations a few years ago. I pulled in and there were several available gas pumps. I pulled next to one and was delighted to fill my nearly empty gas tank. I used my Petro-Points card, my 407 ETR savings card, and a credit card to pay at the pump. The transaction went smoothly. There was plenty of paper towel and windshield wiper solution at the pump that I used. I was pleased. This gas station has Neighbours, a convenience store. I never went inside, but I saw a man come out with a sandwich. It doesn't have a car wash. The gas price was a bit higher than another Petro-Canada station that I drove by later on in the day. Otherwise, it's a solid place to get gas or a snack. (205)

Yes, I had to work this weekend, as it's gets crazy towards the end of the year. Anyway, I typically hit a Petro-Canada. However, since I recently got a MyHusky rewards card and have noticed that Husky stations tend to have cheaper gas prices, I decided to get more use out of my card. I pulled into the station just fine. There were two pumps with cones in front of them. Even with two pumps out of commission, I had no problem finding an available one. It's different prepaying at Husky pumps. You insert your payment card first. Then, you swipe your MyHusky rewards card. Alternatively, you can prepay by going inside the store. I filled up at 104.7 cents a litre. I can't tell you when I last did that. I got prompted whether I wanted to save $2 by using 350 MyHusky rewards. Nice! This gas station is clean. I liked the glass roof shielding me as I pumped gas. I didn't have a need to visit the convenience store. I saw an ad on getting two Red Bulls for $6. I had already consumed a Starbucks venti white hot chocolate mocha. I didn't need to be on a caffeine high! (381)

When I get to the register the person working there says that the pumps are not working because they're doing some sort of change over. They say it takes about 5 mins but it's more like closer to 15 min. Now why can't they do this at another time when it's not wasting the time of people going in there at that time before their 6:00am shift ? Avoid this place between 5:45am-6:15am !!!
