They did a fantastic job. They also installed a high end dash camera which just paid for itself by recording a hit and run accident after a GMC truck backed into the front of my car. The staff even helped me find and copy the hit and run file to give to police and ICBC. I highly recommend Ralph's Radio.

I wanted to upgrade the sound system in my 2005 car, bringing it in to 2022. I did some comparison shopping with "the other big audio installer" in Victoria and after speaking with Justin at Ralph's Radio decided I would go with them. Communication was great and the finished install product and price was as quoted. I ended up with a touch screen unit with Bluetooth and steering wheel controls and an awesome sub-woofer. I am loving it, people can actually hear me when they call and the sound is so much better! Justin and the team at Ralph's where great and I would highly recommend. Many Thanks!

The marina at Roche Harbor Resort isn't cheap (but interestingly, it's about the same to moor here…read moreat it is to moor at the much humbler marina at nearby Deer Harbor), but they pack the experience with so much value that it is actually a 'must visit' stop for the discriminating yachtsman. THE ROSES: Oh my, where to start? The staff (which will cheerfully help you dock and leave) are young, friendly, efficient, and - god help me - very easy on the eyes. I get a feeling working here is a very desirable summer gig, because they seem to be able to hire the 'cream of the crop' of the local (?) youth. The physical plant (docks, power, water, onshore amenities) are in perfect working order and impeccably clean. What really puts RHM over the top is all the little extras. Want to do some grilling dockside? They will deliver a top-quality (Saber) gas grill to your slip on request. Complimentary pump outs (via the 'Phecal Phreak' Pumpout service) are also available on request. Visiting yachtsmen receive on arrival a lovely 'welcome packet' which includes vouchers to a complimentary wine reception, and a punchcard that gives you a free RHM hat if you visit four of the onshore stores. The marina has a fairly well-stocked grocery store, wine merchant, multiple clothing and gift shops, and both casual and fine dining options. There is also a boatyard/marine mechanic (Phil Brooks), and a small marine chandlery. THE THORNS: None worth mentioning. THE VERDICT: Roche Harbor Marina is one of the - if not THE - premiere yachting destination in the Pacific Northwest. While not bargain travel, RHM delivers probably the most 'bang for the buck' of any marina in the region. Very highly recommend.

BC Out of Province Vehicle Inspection - Victoria British Columbia…read more Our BC out of province vehicle inspection led me to Searles Auto Repair in Victoria. We just moved here from Alberta and I was not looking forward to the inspection in the least. When moving into Alberta I was scammed and ripped off getting it done there a couple of years back. I Googled local repair shops, landed on Searles Auto Repair and their reviews were outstanding. They booked me within 2 days and I dealt with Blake. I had a good idea in mind of what the cost should be going in and there were no surprises ... Blake called me after initial scans and preliminary check. He called again with final estimated costs and at the end of the day came in under his quoted amount. It was interesting that the first thing catching my attention was that the windows in the building were spotless. The shop and grounds were pristine. Clean shop = clean work on my truck. Read between the lines on the negative reviews ... these guys are top shelf. Trustworthy, honest and certainly not out to gouge (lol!) They could have really split hairs on my inspection and simply made me bring all required items legally up to provincial standard and pass. I had a slight irritating rattle in the front end and have taken to 2 different shops who could not find or fix it. Blake fixed it .. smooth as silk now. I would never consider going anywhere else. Prices are fair, quality of work is excellent, and above all, Searles are professional, honest and trustworthy.
