Most Domo Stations are exactly the same. Small staff hut. Gas pumps. Outdoor merchandise. The differentiating factor is the staff. I stop at this one a lot, and the one on Gateway Blvd. Both have great staff that seem to stick around for a long time. I assume they have a good boss and good working conditions. They have always been cheery and pleasant. That keeps me coming back.

It is a…read moregood place to stop and get gas or something to drink, but I don't buy anything perishable from here. I find that most times that the candy I have bought from there was stale. One time I bought a pack of nibs (you know, that CHEWY licorice stuff..) and the candy was so hard I couldn't bite into it. Umm... No. Other than the not-so-fresh candy, this place is fine by me. If I am getting a pop, some water or gassing up, this place is fine by me, but I won't even bother spending the 99 cents on a bag of chips that will be stale.

Moosi's is right in my old neighborhood and I would stop here while jogging. It looks a tad sketchy from the outside and is a tad sketchy when you go in. I think most people have an idea of what makes a 711 great... $0.05 candies, Slurpees, and an endless array of chips, pop, chocolate and other goodies. This 711 is a "fake" 711. If you can get past the smell upon first walking in the door (And trust me, the smell is STRONG and it not going anywhere) and make it down any of the isles you will be greatly disappointed by the lack of selection and the lack of "711 feeling" that this store refuses to give off. I avoid this store at all costs now. If I do go in, I rush quickly to get out of the foul stench and usually forget one or two things I meant to get. Indeed, this "711 impostor" is not worth the trip.

I decided to try it, even though my usual gas station of choice would be Shell. I like how they have new pumps which are entirely blue. It is a nice change from the usual red or black color you see at other gas stations. There are 12 pumps, so a lot of people can be accomodated. I was also impressed that their car wash was also open 24 hours. Few car washes in the city are open for this period of time, granted the temperatures are reasonable. What I was most impressed with was their drive-thru Tim Horton's...also open 24 hours! Sure you can go to the one across the street, but it's very convenient since you're already there. I realize this location will not stay 'new' forever, however there are a lot of convenient services located at one location, making it one of the best Esso's I have been to in the city.

It was (at the time I was there) around 94.9-99.9/L for gas at most stations in the city. This station was 91.4/L. Not sure why this station was cheaper, but I welcomed slightly cheaper gas prices. This gas station has a car wash as well as a Tim Horton's. I went into the conveince store to use the washroom, which was clean and well maintained. The store itself is nice and new. This gas station is new and it definitely shows. The station is on the southside of 137Ave, so it's easier turning right into the station (if you are heading east on 137). If you are coming west, there is a set of lights up ahead, and you can get to the station from 149 Ave. I'm not often on the Northside, but if I am I'd definitely check this station out. Hopefully they have cheaper gas prices all the time.
