It's been a while, but I can still vividly remember some key things about this place. First of all, it's extremely jam packed, from floor to ceiling, with goodies commonly found in the Philippines. Odds are, you will find something to snack on in here. Two snacks I often enjoy are the familiar Chippy corn chips and Sarsi (tastes like root beer) pop. There's quite a variety of items in this store - you just need the time and patience to look through everything. The store layout is a bit awkward. The "aisles" are pretty tight. Clausterphobic people might have trouble maneuvering inside. It's a bit of a maze to find your way to the cashier at the back of the store. Nowadays, there are larger Asian grocery stores available that sell the same or similar items. However, I do see the value in supporting these smaller stores and their owners, whenever we have a chance. For those who live in walking distance to this location, this store is convenient compared to other places where you might have to drive farther.

The prices do seem to be a bit higher than competitors, but I'm not necessarily going grocery shopping here and you probably shouldn't be either (for the people complaining). It's a convenience store - you pay for convenience. Yeah, the prices might be marginally higher - but nothing is stopping you from going elsewhere other than... convenience.

The candy is quite overpriced compared to other stores, but the slushies are great and are cheap, though more expensive than 7-Eleven. There is a good range of flavours for the slushies, which are quite popular during the summer. The space is clean, but there is sometimes water or slushie juice on the floor. In the winter people wear their boots inside and bring in snow and dirt, but it is cleaned up everyday.

The team operating this establishment had a few good human beings on staff and one or two were a bit more not into homeless people begging for money in winter but most were compassionate and didn't mind me utilizing the amenities. Definitely figure out how to gather funds before entering tho. The snacks are decent and hot tea and tea bags are fun to customize. Around 2$ hot teas are worth it.

Today, when I opened it, it was already moldy. When I went back, I wasn't met with a simple apology or quick replacement. Instead, I was passed between staff, treated with suspicion, and even told it was "not a big deal" only because I'm a regular. No apology was ever offered, and no acknowledgment that selling moldy food is a serious health risk -- especially for children, the elderly, or anyone with penicillin allergies. Customer service shouldn't be this complicated. Replacing a defective item is the bare minimum, and the way I was spoken to left a sour taste far worse than the cheese. For a business that relies on regular customers, this was not only poor service -- it was careless and short-sighted.
