The guys that work here always make my day…read more It's so easy to let people just come and go, ring stuff in, take their money, and get on with your day of stocking, inventory, and whatever else they do. But this Mac's is different. I've been here three times in the last two weeks and every time, whoever is working is great. They always smile and talk to me. They sometimes joke around with me. And they are very nice in general. They ask if I want a bag and they do it with a smile on their faces. I can't help but love this Mac's. The people are great and that makes all the difference in the world. LOVE IT!

This Mac's is my favourite place, not only because it is conveniently located on campus across from…read morethe U of A Hospital but has all the basics a student would need and the best slushies during any season in the city. The place is stocked with snacks, milk, hot food, ice cream, the usual things you'll find at any convenience store. Mac's also has a limited selection of baking and cooking supplies. There is some seating inside and out which to me seems unusual but great if you want to take a break and enjoy a cold drink during the summer. The stuff here tends to be more expensive (and overpriced) than the nearby Sobeys but since it's open 24/7, there's no need to worry when you crave for a chocolate bar at 2 am in the morning.

The last time I was there, I figured out why. They had a minivan backed up to the door... Unloading bags of junk food from wal-mart. They don't even use a supplier lol... This is a typical Mac's…read more There is nothing that makes this Mac's better than any other one. I don't like this one as much as I like other Mac's stores because the staff aren't as friendly. But they have the stuff that every Mac's does and so I like them because they are convenient and they have selection. They have pops, juices, candy, snacks, frozen treats, toiletries, frozen dinners, coffee, they have everything you could possibly want out of a convenience store and then some. I sometimes stop here into buy a magazine. They have an OK selection of magazines.

One time I bought a pack of nibs (you know, that CHEWY licorice stuff..) and the candy was so hard I couldn't bite into it. Umm... No. Other than the not-so-fresh candy, this place is fine by me. If I am getting a pop, some water or gassing up, this place is fine by me, but I won't even bother spending the 99 cents on a bag of chips that will be stale.

Moosi's is right in my old neighborhood and I would stop here while jogging. It looks a tad sketchy from the outside and is a tad sketchy when you go in. That's why I only stop here to grab a water during my walk/jog, I don't take my chances with the food. Gas is cheap here though...sometimes!
