Beef shawarma

I walked in close to closing time into a nice clean welcoming environment. I was greeted with a smile by a young man. I couldn't make my mind up between which sandwich. The clerk was patient enough to deal with my indecision. I went with the beef shawarma. Took about 5 minutes to prepare. I took it to go for a picnic with the family. 7-minute drive away and my sandwich was still warm due to it being wrapped in an aluminum type of paper. The beef shawarma tasted fresh, sweet yet savory and very delicious. I would eat there again and highly recommend!!

I had a margarita on happy hour menu and it was tasty. For my entree, I got the chicken enchiladas. They were presented very nicely and very flavorful. Since they are known for the caramel pie, I got a slice of that as well. Tasted like caramel candy with the texture similar to pumpkin pie. Service was friendly. I hear their brunch is also amazing as well.

I requested our group to be placed in a corner since we were dining in with 2 kids and an infant who would be sitting in a stroller. She had said they were fully booked and a different party needed the table I was eyeing since they would be coming in with 3 strollers. I was there from 9am-11am on a Friday and it was not packed nor did a family use the table I wanted while I was there. No one came in with 3 strollers either. Aside from that, I was trying to be helpful so the stroller wouldn't get in the way of customers and wait staff. The host basically made it harder for them, not me. I started with the hazelnut oat mocha and this was delicious. This was the highlight of my time there. For food I tried the Shakshouka and it was not good. The pouched eggs were not cooked. From my pictures - it looks like the eggs were cracked in the dish and the chef called it a day. I didn't chance eating it, I ate the pita it came with and left very hungry. I'm giving Beatrix a generous 2 due to the space being beautiful and my latte being great. Unfortunately this is not a spot I'll be returning to.

What a great place for some pasta! Stopped on Friday night and had a seat at the bar. The…read morebartender that helped us, Zoey, was great. As were the others. It's a nice, open, clean, place. That filled up quickly, I might add! They have an extensive drink menu, and some great specialty drinks. We started with the Four Cheese Aranchini. Not too bad. The outside was quite hard, and I do wish I knew all four cheeses were in it. The pasta we had was fabulous. My husband ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara. I had a bite, and the cream sauce in that was absolutely delicious. I went out on a limb and ordered something I normally wouldn't, and got the Truffle Fondue Cappellacci. Which is a folded pasta, almost like a ravioli. But I would have to say better. It had a black truffle brown butter sauce on it and I was wondering if it may be a little too sweet, but the aged balsamic was perfect enough to cut through it. And the toasted pistachios on top gave it a slight crunch. The dish was perfect! Just perfect. I ate the whole thing except for one piece of pasta. Who doesn't love fresh pasta, especially when done right & great flavors! Wow. We will be back. We ordered desert to go, so I didn't get any pics but that was probably the best tiramisu I've ever had. I have never had a tiramisu with orange mascarpone in it, but that was something else!!

Probably the slowest I've had at a coffee shop. It took over an hour for my latte to be ready. The pastries then took an additional 20 minutes after that. They also got my friend's pastry order wrong so she had to wait even longer. Additionally it was extremely hot inside the cafe. Most people were complaining about how toasty it was. I did feel the AC kick in maybe 5 mins prior to leaving. I tried a seasonal drink - Ube latte. I didn't taste the Ube at all, + I didn't taste any type of the espresso. It just tasted like milk. For the pastries I tried the guava pastry and a cheese empanada. Both were bland and underwhelming. CFS is pricey - the quality, service, and atmosphere did not live up to how expensive it is.

Staff was really friendly too, didn't feel rushed or anything. I ordered the hot chocolate and... wow. First thing, the size. I've never seen a cup that big at a coffee shop. Pretty sure it healed my soul right away. Taste wise, super smooth. Nice and hot. Had light cinnamon notes that show up after a sip. Not overly sweet either, which I liked. Creamy texture, almost like melted chocolate but lighter. They even did latte art on top and served it in this artisan cup. Looked way too nice for something I was about to destroy in five minutes. Came for chocolate, left spiritually repaired. Honestly might come back next time my soul needs maintenance.

We also tried a few of their beers, and they were all enjoyable. The atmosphere was very trendy and inviting, and we had amazing service. The cauliflower tasted just like orange chicken lol highly recommend them! We also split the alter prime burger and thought it was so nice they separated the meal into two plates for us so we didn't have to do that ourselves (which we wouldn't have minded either). Burger was 10/10 - cooked perfectly! We both ordered beer flights and opted to have lighter options. Overall, we loved the beer but the orange hwip was prob my favorite! Tasted like a pineapple orange juice lol very delicious! Our server was very nice and attentive too! The only "issue" (wasn't really a big issue!) was that I wanted a booth and they said the booths were all reserved, but there was a whole other side that wasn't in use during the entire night we were there (several booths) and they didn't offer those. Not a huge deal but there wasn't an option to reserve a booth or else I would've made sure to do it. We had a great time overall! Food was delicious and service was great. Will def be back (hopefully in a booth lol).
