The staff at the Timberlands location are generally friendly and helpful. However, we have had several negative encounters with the manager/owner here that have kept us away since. They do not seem at all interested in helping you out when you have questions and seem annoyed when you need assistance with anything. What really upset us though, was when we were purchasing reusable pee pads - we noted the quantity on the package stated '3 pads', but it was evident that one of the pads in the package was missing; this was also the last package left, so we couldn't just grab another one with the right quantity. We approached the staff at the front to request a discount/compensation, and understandably they needed approval from the manager/owner. The owner was quick to accuse us of stealing one of the pads, which was extremely upsetting and insulting - not representative of good customer service at all. Ultimately, after a lot of pack and forth, we finally did receive a discount for the product, but after receiving so many unfair, accusatory claims, we will never be returning.

The business was bought by a new owner who threw out blankets and items that were kept there for my dog without notifying anyone or asking it we wanted it back awhile ago so I stayed away from the place because of that. Then they moved and changed their name, I thought they would be worth another shot. They switched names, they are now called The Spoiled Pet. I dropped my dog off because I was working out of town. My dog had a hot spot on her paw she had seen a vet and was given instructions how to care for the spot. I advised the lady when I dropped her off and all was fine at that time. There was no further concern and they took my pet for care on Friday. I received a call Monday to come pick up my dog because they didn't want to watch her because of the spot. The lady said and I quote "come get your dog now" very rudely too. My dog has been in at least 10 different daycares for the past 5 years with zero proble. The spot was minor and managable and not contagious. They also said they had her in overflow. I dont think they should charge full price to lock your dog in a cage! I had to pay for someone to travel to get my dog that day and make other arrangement while I was out of town. This cost me money and unnecessary stress... The reason we drop pets off for boarding is usually because we are away. If they were not able to manage something small I have no faith in the establishment anymore. I will never book this place again and do not recommend using them

So I phoned PetSmart a few days ago asking if my appointment would include trimming the hair on my dogs back end. I was told it did and to just tell the girls what I wanted. I get to the appointment this morning, tell the girls what I want and they tell me they can't do that. Trimming her back end would mean a haircut and that wasn't included in my appointment. I will never go back to Pet Smart again!

This service literally takes between 5 and 10 minutes to complete. I shared my disappointment with an employee and she replied in a whisper "I can't afford to bring my dog here."
