Whisker Rescue is a no-kill, non-profit cat rescue organizations run almost exclusively on donations of time, supplies, or vet care. All cats, young or old, are examined by a vet to be sure they are in tip-top shape before going to their forever homes. I purchased my little, now big, boy Black Bart, nearly two years ago. He was well socialized, received all of his preliminary shots, tattooed, neutered, and in perfect health before coming home with me. (All for only $125.) He made instant friends with my little girl, Toffee. They allow you a 30-day return window, to be sure your cat/kitten makes a good fit with your family. They really work with you to make sure this will be the cat's/kitten's forever home. If you're not sure you would do well with a cat, consider fostering for a time to see how things go.
