I don't know if I'm just really good at taking care of rodents or if Petland just has the healthiest little animals, but I'm going to give Petland some of the credit in this regards. They have a bunch of helpful books on keeping all the animals they sell and their staff actually know what they're talking about when you ask them specific questions about your animal. There used to be a dude who I would see every time I went to this store and he always covered himself in Budgies and other birds. He was super weird.. I'm glad I don't see him there anymore. If I'm not mistaken, they also have an adoption center for animals from the SPCA. Adorable kittens and friendly pups.. you can play with them if you act like you're serious about adopting them. Pretty cool pet shop.

Since then, we have brought our puppy back multiple times for their bath service. Most employees here have been very friendly and pleasant, but I am deducting a star because I have had some negative interactions with the staff, including one that didn't know how to apply the coupon I recieved from this very store and rejecting it's use. Overall though, it's a great store with (mostly) helpful staff. Their dog wash is super convenient and worth it for $10.

All cats, young or old, are examined by a vet to be sure they are in tip-top shape before going to their forever homes. The cats & kittens live in foster homes or can be available for viewing at All In One Pet Care Facility @ #4831 - 53rd Street. (Check out Whisker Rescue's website & email them to learn more.) I purchased my little, now big, boy Black Bart, nearly two years ago. He was well socialized, received all of his preliminary shots, tattooed, neutered, and in perfect health before coming home with me. (All for only $125.) He made instant friends with my little girl, Toffee. They allow you a 30-day return window, to be sure your cat/kitten makes a good fit with your family. They really work with you to make sure this will be the cat's/kitten's forever home. If you're not sure you would do well with a cat, consider fostering for a time to see how things go. Like I said, Whisker Rescue will really work with you.

I get to the appointment this morning, tell the girls what I want and they tell me they can't do that. Trimming her back end would mean a haircut and that wasn't included in my appointment. I will never go back to Pet Smart again!

I can't say enough about the friendly and helpful staff, they truly are great, but It would seem that the corporate greed is alive a well. Needless to say,...we won't be back.
