When we dropped her off, she was so excited to greet the staff, with no hesitation at all. We take her own food and treats with us, as is recommended by the hosts, and they returned whatever she hadn't eaten. She was happy to see us of course, but went to her hosts to say goodbye! We live in Evansburg and are leaving on holiday for 2 weeks. We love Kozy Kennels so much that we are driving the 2 extra hours to take her there! We appreciated how accommodating they were when we had to extend her stay due to a medical emergency in our family. I really cannot say enough about them! Penny is a larger dog, so she requires lots of walks, she was happy and healthy there!

We remain baffled as to how this company has operated for profit for so long abusing furry family members. Most recently to highlight our experience; we dropped our animals off while on vacation, and upon our return our animals had been damaged, malnourished, and dehydrated. Upon picking up our dogs, on the drive home our puppy laid across our lap almost lifeless, he was limp, and we could visibly see every rib and defined vertebrae. His face was drained of life and he had this dull sad look to him. His norm was a healthy, vibrant, active and healthy weighed animal... Upon bringing our concerns to the attention of the owners (pictures of before and after we dropped them off and a vet assessment report) both in person and over the phone we were met with a lack of customer service, lack of accountability, and lack of overall professionalism one gets from a reputable business. So if you and your family want to stress over the condition of your furry loved one. If you enjoy being ostracized and cursed at by the owners, and over blamed for the condition of your animals in your absence while paying someone to do it.... The business was bought by a new owner who threw out blankets and items that were kept there for my dog without notifying anyone or asking it we wanted it back awhile ago so I stayed away from the place because of that. Then they moved and changed their name, I thought they would be worth another shot. They switched names, they are now called The Spoiled Pet. I dropped my dog off because I was working out of town. My dog had a hot spot on her paw she had seen a vet and was given instructions how to care for the spot. I advised the lady when I dropped her off and all was fine at that time. There was no further concern and they took my pet for care on Friday. I received a call Monday to come pick up my dog because they didn't want to watch her because of the spot. The lady said and I quote "come get your dog now" very rudely too. My dog has been in at least 10 different daycares for the past 5 years with zero proble. The spot was minor and managable and not contagious. They also said they had her in overflow. I dont think they should charge full price to lock your dog in a cage! I had to pay for someone to travel to get my dog that day and make other arrangement while I was out of town. This cost me money and unnecessary stress... The reason we drop pets off for boarding is usually because we are away. If they were not able to manage something small I have no faith in the establishment anymore. I will never book this place again and do not recommend using them

I have boarded my uber playful yellow lab here about a dozen times. She is very energetic and needs…read morean hour of exercise a day, yet she still sometimes stays up at night. But every time I pick her up from this place, she is HOSED. She'll sleep for 14 hours for days on end afterward. If you treat your dog like a young child, you may not like it here. They don't give you a passport with cute things written in it, third-doggy-person-style. The kennels are very spartan, it is like a farm. Because my dog is a dog, not a human child, I'm happy with it. It has everything it NEEDS: great staff, heat/air flow, fresh water, and space. That's all that matters to me. Hopefully it does to you. It's SUPER cheap here: $20 a night. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut it is in Innisfail. Even though she is a lab that needs no grooming, I still get her a $35 wash and trim groom every so often. It's kind of useful because it kinda stinks in there. Very good value.

We looked on line and Fredrick at Birds Inc. had one little baby left and it was the color that my son wanted. We call right away and said we would like the baby budgie. Fredrick was so kind and sent my son an updated picture of his baby. When a snow storm prevented us from getting there to pick him up, once again Fredrick was kind enough to update the picture again for my son. Last weekend we were finally able to get our new budgie. Fredrick is a wealth of knowledge and gave us lots of information to take care of our new baby. He also showed my son, some brand new babies, so he see how much his baby had grown. He has some amazing birds and everyone is more than just a bird. They are part of his family and he takes pride in his birds. We are very happy to have gotten our budgie from Fredrick and we appreciate all the great information that he gave us. I had booked the appointment online and worried if it did include everything I wanted. So I phoned PetSmart a few days ago asking if my appointment would include trimming the hair on my dogs back end. I was told it did and to just tell the girls what I wanted. I get to the appointment this morning, tell the girls what I want and they tell me they can't do that. Trimming her back end would mean a haircut and that wasn't included in my appointment. I will never go back to Pet Smart again!

The only thing we continued to access was nail clipping and grinding. Today I took our family dog in for his quarterly nail clip & grind and I was surprised that the total came to almost $27. This service literally takes between 5 and 10 minutes to complete. I shared my disappointment with an employee and she replied in a whisper "I can't afford to bring my dog here." I can't say enough about the friendly and helpful staff, they truly are great, but It would seem that the corporate greed is alive a well. Needless to say,...we won't be back.
