WOW, nothing but WOW, even after 20 years of being this vet hospital client, and knowing Dr Higgins…read morefor so long; I am still amazed and wowed by their service! Today, my 13 years old baby, Nina, was having seizures, and when I took her to Dr Higgins (after calling in around 1:00 pm, they took her right in), not only they took care of her immediately, Dr Higgins called me, suggesting that he will take her home tonight, to monitor her, ( I am crying ), and I know he will do ANYTHING to help her not only as a vet, but as an exceptional human being, caring and compassionate person, that I have a privilege and honour to call him my veterinarian and in a way, my friend :) Thank you Pat for being you, and loving our babies as much as we do And thank you all dedicated staff there, always friendly, always so patient and compassionate to our furry babies, I am still wowed and grateful forever! I told Dr Higgins he is not "allowed" to retire any time soon, and thank God, it looks it won't happen any time soon! I can tell for sure, for all this years, that money is the last on Dr Higgins mind; it is his love for animals and thier humans that make him so special. So my dear Dr Higgins, and ALL stuff working there; I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and I want all the world to hear how exceptional your service is !!!! Thank you

Do Not Take Your Pets Here. I used to be a long time…read morecustomer at this clinic, they have seen several of my cats. I used to trust this clinic with my animals care completely the last few months I visited this clinic I was lied to and mislead. One of my cats was "diagnosed" with an expensive ear issue that required drops and oral medication, I was assured if I needed more medication for my cat I would be able to call and pick up more, the first time I came in to pick up my refill the doctor refused saying I had to bring the cat back in for another costly "examination" on top of the expensive medication. When I reminded the staff I had just brought the cat in and had it "diagnosed" I was told... again they "couldn't" give me the medication my cat was prescribed already... a few months prior to that I had a cat come in for a urinary blockage, the doctor told me "only male cats get it" to my surprise my female cat gets one... I don't know how much I was lied to about, but I've had a few repeated problems with my cats since visiting this clinic... not only does taylor veterinary clinic not handle basic diagnostics, they are over charging, and adding anything they can think of to increase your bill. The doctor are rude and have less then no interest in their patients or customers, they will lie to you, mistreat you and your pets, overcharge, and God forbid you have an emergency... this clinic can't help you, and won't. Save yourself money and your pet. Do Not Take Your Pets Here.

My cat is sick, possibly a blockage but the x-ray showed nothing. Blood work done and results…read morepending. The options given were X-ray and bloodwork but, when nothing showed on the X-ray, the option of ultrasound was suddenly presented. Now, to the best of my knowledge, an ultra sound will show anything whereas the X-ray does not. So I paid $250 for an X-ray and then.....was told there was ultrasound available at a different clinic for $500. My problem with this is that the US should have been offered in the first place - then I could have made a decision about the best route. Now these money grabbers got the money for the useless X-ray and will probably make a fee from the other place for the US.

I've been taking my now 2 year old boxer bentley to lomsnes vet since day one i knew they are over…read morepriced but i was ok with that thinking that I was paying for quality. Everything went good for about a year then bentley kept getting sick first she said it was his food so we switched to the food that they sell. He got sick again now lisa lomsnes says she did blood work and it looks like pancreatis so she wanted to keep him overnight on a iv then we take him home the next day this happens 4 times and poor bentley lost 20 pounds you could see every bone in his body and we didn't know what to do he wasn't responding to any meds and lisa still says it's pancreatis we had to go somewhere else after doing tons of research we chose fish creek in Calgary we take him there explain the last vet in red deer said he had pancreatis the vet says ok I've never heard of pancreatis in one year old boxer but ill tske a look and immediatly takes bentley back and starts doing tests on him none of which show pancreatis she takes an x-ray, the x-ray shows a forgein body and not only that the forgein body has been stuck in about 6 different spots in his intestines and just punctured a hole in his insteines and fluid is leaking into his stomach. I get a call from the fish creek vet saying they need to do surgery now i say yes please do. They do and they saved our boys life. Meanwhile my girlfriend is in university writting an exam that morning she gets a call from lisa lomsnes in red deer saying it looks like sepsis and we need to think about saying our goodbyes and putting him down. Now I have a hysterical girlfriend crying on the phone saying we need to put our dog down and I need to explain he had a forgein body and is safe in recovery after surgery. Turns out fish creek called lomsnes to get bentleys information and she took it in her own hands to call my girlfriend and get her nose in our business. When she didn't even know what was going on in the first place. Shes very unprofessional we won't be taking out business there anymore and I recommend you don't either.
