Just picked up my Peaky B up after an overnight here, they offered to trim her nails and paws while she was there (which was perfect as she was overdue for a nail trim). This is not the first time I've used them, and I used to take my last dog, Luna to them. It won't be the last. They were so excited to see Peaky B, and had her wanting, nails and paws trimmed, behind the counter when we got back. They let me know they she didn't want to eat (not surprising,she's like that when we're not around), and she was fine. Highly recommend!! read more

I took both of my dogs October 8th to petite pets and i am a normal customer here but this time it just wasn't good, i took both of my dogs chelsea and winter to get a haircut and wash. I asked them to not cut my dogs hair named winter since she looks weird with it when it's too short but..When she called back an hour later which was pretty quick to me i saw winter coming back with her hair very short, dirty, and her ears are floppy they didn't even bother drying them when i asked before to not have it cut too short. I called to confront her about this situation and all of a sudden she comes up with a bunch of excuses on how the person was grooming both of my dogs at the same time, or her hair had too many knots so it had to be cut short. Seriously ? instead of giving me excuses i should've just asked for my money back. read more

Absolutely terrible. I left my puppies here for 5 days and by the time I came back I can tell that my puppies were not feeling this place. Not only that but I payed for grooming and they didn't do the service because my puppies didn't let them. Like if this is your job how are you not going to be able to groom them like never heard of a more stupid reasoning for not grooming a pet. When I went to check out my puppies they didn't give me the money back for the grooming service because they allegedly damaged blankets etc so they kept the money. No where in the contract did it say I would have to pay for "damaged" items. They clearly don't know how to take care of dogs here and the lack of professionalism showed. read more

They took my gorgeous shih tzu pup and chopped her all up. Granted, she had some matting, that puppy fluff double coat. I didnt want her shaved but when i got her back she looked silly with the cut legs and long body hair. No tapering, no style AT ALL. They didn't even cut the hair off of her privates or her lashes. SMH. So i brought her back.. she looked like she was thrown in a feather plucker when i picked her up. A Shih Tzu is a beautiful elegant dog, they showed the breed no respect. I have a yorkie mix that doesn't like just everybody. Having been abused, she is terrified of meeting new people very defensive. From day one, she has been treated well and has gotten along with the staff at this great business. Boarded once, groomed many times and I have no complaint and neither does Natasha. She always comes home perfectly groomed, smelling nice, and very happy. I truly appreciate their patience and understanding for my dog and love the fact that she willingly allows them to handle her. Highly disappointed with their service.. I recently brought my dog in for a trim (breed: maltipoo) and I show them pictures of the type of haircut I wish to give my dog. I didn't want to cut too much his hair. I believed that they were able to achieve the task at hand, but I was completely wrong! When I came by to pick up dog, he was totally unrecognizable. I even asked myself "if this is my dog?" It looks like they just completely disregarded my request and just buzz cut my dog's hair completely off. I even noticed that they even left a nasty cut on his private area (I'm not sure if it's appropriate to post photos of the cut). Now, I'm worry that he might get it infected and do more harm to him. He's still a 8 month puppy. I'm never go back there again and I hope this review helps others preventing the same mistake I made with them. I don't condone this service and they must find a way to make this right.. read more

Was using them for years until they sent my dog home with 1/2 a nail and didn't tell me! My pup bled like crazy when we got home enough to soak a towel. I rushed back to Petite pets and they acted like it was no big deal. The owner told me my pup caught his foot on the cage and hurt himself. They should have told me when I first picked him up! What's not to love about this establishment! My Mom takes her Pomeranian here. She has been getting him groomed here for years. They are caring, sweet thorough and sooo good with pets. I was shocked to see her little rambunctious Pomeranian as content as ever when we picked him up. The owner is very nice, and they also give the dogs little kerchiefs that are holiday themed. Today we picked up the dog and he had an American flag whale one. He looked absolutely adorable. I think it's great to hear a place like this is booming. Great business. We had to go on an international trip abroad and had to board out dog who is not exactly petite. We called petite pets and they gladly accepted our rambunctious puppy and boarded him for over a weeks time with awesome results. Our puppy came back happy as ever. To say we were thrilled is an understatement. The pricing was very fair and there were no excessive charges unlike a negative review posted here. We plan on using them again every-time we need to board our fur babies. read more

I have been taking my Yorkie here to be groomed since we moved to Long Island, and now our New Chorkie gets groomed here, too! They are so friendly and great with the dogs. They can almost always fit your dog in for an appointment that fits your schedule. They listen to how you want your dog groomed and then deliver! Also, the pups always have cute little bandanas on when you pick them up! I recommend this place to anyone who needs their dog groomed! read more

I'm not one to write negative reviews, I think positive are always better BUT in this case I thought it was important. I called Petite Pets in a bind for boarding my dog, and they were able to accommodate me quoting a very reasonable price. When I dropped my dog off I was a little apprehensive because of the facility but the girl at the desk seemed to be caring so I decided to keep the reservation (and again I was in a bind!) when I picked up my dog the next morning I was charged ten dollars more than quoted and when asked for an explanation the man at the desk told me they de-shedded him and cut his nails (2 services I didn't ask for) I paid and left feeling a little taken advantage of. About a month later I figured I'd give it another chance since my dog seemed happy when I picked him up. I called and a man, who I later found out was the owner answered, I asked if there was availability which there was, same thing-- same day drop off, next day pick up. He told me he needed a 50$ deposit in addition to the fee (that was now 15$ more than the month prior) which was less than the actual deposit. I asked if I could pay cash when I got there instead at which point he told me he would not hold the reservation... Okay, I get it, people can screw you some times BUT I was dropping the dog off that day and willing to pay cash... I the explained that I would have to take him somewhere else with out the confirmation of space. At this point the man started yelling at me how he was busy and couldn't "deal with me and my problems", I asked if he was the owner which he denied, so I asked to speak to the owner. He then started ranting that I didn't show up a month ago (obviously not true), I told him I thought he might have me confused with someone else and his reply was "I'm not an idiot like you, I'm the owner I know exactly who my customers are". I hung up at this point not wanting to debate with a crazy person who I was! Needless to say, if this is how the owner treats his customers I shiver to think how he treats their pets! After speaking to a few people in the industry they all have the same sentiment, Petite Pets is NO GOOD! read more
