Our dog got X-ray done and blood work. They sent a text with the plan for treatment and bill. We paid through the link sent. VEG offers snacks, drinks for waiting customers. The staff operated in a quick, professional manner and were able to help our pup out. They also sent all the information to our primary vet. We were stressed out , but they made the situation better and we are glad our pup is recovering well.

Unfortunately, once we met with the clinical staff, the interaction did not go well for our dog. Their approach seemed to increase his anxiety rather than help settle him, and the situation escalated to the point that I decided to leave without having him seen. I called another practice right away, explained that our dog is fearful at the vet and that we had just had a very difficult experience elsewhere, and they still agreed to see him. The difference in handling was significant. They spoke kindly to him throughout, got down on his level, used petting and treats to help distract and settle him, and had two team members participate in the exam. His anxiety diminished significantly, and he was able to receive treatment. Vet anxiety is a new experience for us, even as 30+ year pet owners. I'm sharing this because VEG has a good reputation and we have received good care with another pet. But owners of anxious or fearful dogs (or pets in pain who may not be acting like themselves) should ask detailed questions in advance about handling approach and comfort working with behaviorally challenging patients.

We brought our dog in after a day of not eating or drinking and difficulty standing and walking. We had no idea that when we brought him in we wouldn't be bringing him home with us. We got the absolute worst news, but the Dr and techs were so kind, gave us time to process everything, gave us advice and helped us choose the best way to go through the dreadful experience of losing our fur baby. I wish I would have gotten the names of everyone who helped us so that I could thank them personally. The whole facility was clean. The staff were incredibly kind, understanding and ready to accommodate what we needed in this hard time. We can't thank them enough.

He had a large, deep, bleeding gash on his back. After waiting for more than an hour to be "triaged" we complained that our dog was actively bleeding and no one had been by. They came quickly after that and said they would keep him for the night and he would be ready by 6am. Fast forward to 7am I still had not heard from them so I called and he had not even been treated yet. In fact, he was not ready to be picked up until 2:00. It took them 17 hours to stitch up his gash. I get that emergency medicine is unpredictable and they were probably busy with emergencies much worse than mine. However 17 hours and $1300 later I finally have my dog back and NEVER ONCE TALKED TO A DOCTOR. Only techs and front desk people. Unacceptable. I could have driven to Chicago and back and it would have taken less time and I'm sure I would have had better communication. There is really no excuse or explanation that warrants the lack of communication and the complete absence of communication from the doctor. Do better for your patients and the people who are worried about them.

Walked thru services and process to select what was right for our dog during her stay. Shortly after choosing stay, received a clear/concise note w documents needed to confirm our pup's stay. Upon arrival our dog was hesitant - but greeted by 2 smiling faces who helped her to her space. The daily updates/picture were timely and looked forward to by family. Knowing and seeing she had found a couple buddies and was enjoying her stay was evident with the daily pics/notes. We arrived a day early to pick her up in great condition. Would trust our dog w Dog Dayz in an instance when needed for future overnight stays! Absolutely the best experience for our pup and exceeded our expectations

I chose DogDayz this time because I didn't want to pay an extra day for a late pickup. I had an issue with Bella's treatment when I first boarded her at DogDayz. Her paws were a mess and she could barely walk. The owner apologized profusely and credited my account. He said he hired new staff who forgot to check her paws. I gave DogDayz another chance and Bella's stay was fine. After that I heard great things about Beverly's and decided to board Bella there for a week. The staff are so friendly and are always excited to see Bella! Wonderful customer service! Because I was already having an expensive weekend..I boarded Bella at DogDaze. Big mistake that I won't ever make again! Firstly, I did not receive a friendly greeting. She grabbed Bella's leash and took her away. If you know me and know what I do for a living.. customer service is HUGE with me!! After the lady came back I told her to please pay attention to her paws and even sent a reminder via email. They sent me pictures and said that Bella is doing great! I went to pick her up and again they said that she did great. Once out the door she didn't want to put her paws on the concrete. I had to wrap her paws so she could go outside to potty. Bella is still walking like a cripple today. DogDayz let her down AGAIN!!! NEVER will I ever board her with DogDayz again!!!!!
