He was friendly and professional, didn't try to upsell anything. I opted to fix, but Austin didn't have the correct size of compressor. He made a call to a co- worker, Isaac, who had the correct and offered to drop it off. Thank you Isaac! Once we had the part, Austin installed and patiently waited sitting on the kitchen floor for it to be filled with coolant (I think that's what it was). Anyhoo, great experience and would not hesitate to use them again.

I purchased a brand new GE washer just 3 weeks ago, and it already stopped working (displaying…read more"LID" across the screen. Quality Appliance Service sent a technician four day later, who diagnosed both the lid lock and the control board as needing replaced. He said it would take another 14 days to get parts from China... unless I paid extra to expedite them, despite this being a warranty issue. That felt incredibly shady. I had a hard time believing GE parts couldn't be sourced in the US, and sure enough, a GE representative confirmed there are 4 warehouses in the US that stock GE parts. I called another company for a second opinion, and they arrived within two days, with GE parts in hand. They also said it's extremely rare for both the lid lock and control board to fail simultaneously. I feel Quality Appliance Service has been dishonest and possibly unethical in their dealings with me and the warranty company. Their phone manner was also rude, which confirmed my gut feeling to seek a second opinion, thankfully.

I like the touch of sending me a picture of the tech so I know who to expect. Gave a time frame that he would be here. Got worried when I got a call that he may be late since he is running behind on his present job. I admit I got worried about the tech canceling on me and having to reschedule. Surprise! Half an hour later he was here. It went quick. He diagnosed the problem, even had a spare part. Fixed it in no time. He spent more time vacuuming out the inner workings of the dryer than actually fixing it. All together it was well worth the call to these guys. The repair itself was much cheaper than I expected it to be. I was worried the quote would have been high enough that it would be cheaper to buy a new dryer. But no. Gonna bookmark these guys!

Lourie from L&K Appliance Repair was the first to contact me directly and, even though it was a Sunday morning, she asked me to call her to talk through the likely issues, rather than just scheduling a Service call. Lourie was extremely knowledgeable and, upon answering a few of her questions, we came to the conclusion that the repair would cost more than replacing the washer itself. It's increasingly rare to find a company that is willing to put customer service ahead of profit and help someone avoid throwing good money after bad. I would highly recommend Lourie and L&K Appliance Repair to anyone, and we will certainly be using them the next time we have, any type of appliance issue.

Found L&K on yelp and tried calling, even though I didn't expect an answer after hours. But Lori answered and said she was in my area and said she'd swing by. I explained the problem, she said what she thought it probably was on the phone and said it's an easy fix. When she got here, she took a look, found the problem right away, put in a temporary fix so the machine would work for me, and said she would get the part it needed ordered and meet me back here after our trip. Her quote was very affordable. I was so happy that she was willing to just swing by and help me out so that I could get back to the pre-packing laundry that was so needed. I don't feel like most people these days are willing to just help a stranger out like she did, especially after business hours, but she was great!
