I wish there was a lower amount of stars that I could give, like 0 or -5. This is the worst kind of exploitation out there. They do the same thing to everyone. You just got arrested for a DUI, you are scared of going to jail. They exploit your worst fears and high pressure sell you into $3000-6000 worth of lawyer fees for services that there is NO WAY you get any value out of. FACT: 99% of first time offenders for DUI do NOT do any jail time. Most DUI lawyers will charge around 1500-2500 and it's a very standard practice. They play you these ridiculous videos with FUD and scare tactics and try to convince you to lie about your actual drinking pattern in order to use the pillar technique and get you out of trouble. This is INSANE. They don't go so far as to actually say you need to lie but some direct quotes were "It would be the best situation if..." and feed you full of ideas of what to say. This is ILLEGAL. So, two stories. Both my ex-girlfriend and I got DUI's within a month of each other. First one was hers, she goes to Tom Petersen ("Mr. DUI") and paid about $2900. He basically tells her to roll over and take the charge or if they are to go to court she is going to have to pay him $18,000!!!!! WTF?? She has already been offered wet reckless by a public defender and they are hoping to get a dry wreckless. My story. I opted for the $3900 plan or whatever I got suckered into. I made 1500 in payments and ended up with a BENCH WARRANT because they NEVER SHOWED UP AT COURT FOR ME. Needless to say I stopped paying them and they continued to try to collect from me even though I told them I was no longer in need of their "services". DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS! There are much more reputable and HONEST lawyers that are out there that will help you with your DUI case if you need it. BUYER BEWARE!! read more
