I tried to make another consultation appointment with Liam Meehan, I was told no same day appointments, so I scheduled something for the next day. I got to my appointment a few minutes early and had to ring the bell for someone to come to the front, I was promptly sat in a conference room, no questions asked regarding who I was or who I was there to see. 20 minutes later the same lady came in to say that he got stuck in court and was on his way and would be there in 10-15 minutes. 20 minutes later I get someone else who came in and said that Liam was in Washington County and stuck in traffic and probably wouldn't be there for another 30 min to 50 min and if it were her, she would've called and rescheduled, but I could wait or they'd reschedule with no cost. I expressed my displeasure and said I had taken time off work, not much care was given for my time. Tara proceeded to ask if I just had a contract question (we'd had email correspondence about that before) if that was the case she could help me and I said yes, but I also have other questions that probably need a lawyer's input she proceeded with trying to help me with my question and I said well, the contract that you gave me has charges that you no longer include in your monthly billings and I asked if they'd be providing an updated contract? And she said no that she would cross that out an initial that section, but they would not provide an updated contract no addendum's, nothing. Seems odd that you're a law firm but you won't update your contract. She said we have plenty of clients and I'm not gonna lose sleep if you don't hire us. If I were you, I'd stay clear of this law firm they apparently don't know how to act professionally. I'm thankful that I didn't retain them. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. Matt made it well known that he would only personally contact you if he deemed you as an easy win. Otherwise he lets his staff over abuse your time and money. I specifically asked to be assigned to another legal assistant, and he refused. From then on, she was nothing but abusive, rude and over charged me. I lost everything because he is a garbage lawyer who only cares about money and not fighting for his clients. He is scared of a real fight and I am not afraid to speak the truth after he swindled me out of over 40K and intentionally lost my case. If you want someone who isn't scared of a fight and won't steal your money, I highly suggest you look at other lawyers. Extremely unprofessional and unintentionally discloses that he has personal relationships (staff also confirming) with opposing attorneys that then reflect on your case. Save yourself from this unprofessional bullshit. I may be out, but you don't have to be. read more

To say that Matt is the epitomy of a professional attorney would be an understatement. This man has demonstrated his knowledge, empathy, and passion as an attorney for me on a few different occasions when I've required his services, over the past 10 years. Each time I've called on him, he has remembered details of my case that even I had forgotten, and has done such an amazing job of counseling me, on several occasions, to achieve the end goal of our case. I hired mr Higgins to get custody of my children. When I hired mr Higgins I did not think I had much of a chance because I had already lost temporary custody with a different attorney. I called mr Higgins and scheduled a apt. Wen we sat down to talk I knew by talking to him he knew what he was doing. After Mr Higgins and I finished talking one of his league aids sat down with me and explained how everything worked. She was very nice easy to talk to and answered every question I asked. You will not find a better bunch of people anywhere. If I had to do it over I would hire Higgins Law again. Higgins and his entire staff in my opinion see the best in the business. read more

Mr. Higgins was the first attorney that would take my case, without trying to make me change my honest story. He was thoughtful, understanding, and took the time to listen to my concerns and needs. He was very creative and gave me many different options when things were challenging. He is extremely thurough and spends ample amounts of time reading and researching your case before he even meets with you. Terrible waste of time and MONEY! Matt Higgins constantly asks for more and more money and provided nothing in return. Communication with him and his office was non existent other than when it came to them making sure you got their bill in a timely manner. I would not recommend this office or Matt Higgins to anyone. Seriously, save yourself time and $$, find someone else. read more
