They changed my oil and closed the hood, but later, when he came back to check the latch, he realized it still wouldn't go back in place. I returned today to get my fluids topped off, but when the same technician tried to open the hood, it would not open at all. Now, I can't get my fluids topped off or access my engine. One of the technicians asked if the latch had broken at their establishment, and I confirmed it had, pointing out the technician who broke it. Another technician, whom we'll call Technician D, took my name, cell number, and VIN. He mentioned he would find a hood latch and arrange for it to be replaced. However, while I was on my way home, a technician called me from the number 229.242.2292 and informed me that they are not responsible for damages, claiming it was likely due to wear and tear. Keep in mind that their technician broke the hood latch, and now they refuse to replace it. Additionally, he had an unpleasant attitude during the call. First of all no one reduced the price of anything for us. The man behind the counter was actually rude about it. You cannot write a response that tries to make it sound as if your prices are at all reasonable and you were being 'nice'. We paid less than half to a different auto shop NOT yours. They did not take advantage of our situation and try to over charge us.

That said, my overall experience with Mavis was unacceptable. I paid $1,318.17 for brake repairs on my Silverado, only to find out the wrong part was installed. The vehicle was unsafe, produced a new error code, and had to be sent out to another mechanic locally to have him repair it. It took 11 days to finally get my truck back. During that time, I was without transportation. Calls to corporate management and the Territory Manager went unanswered or were pushed back to the store staff. If you deal with the Valdosta location, know that the people are solid, but Mavis corporate's systems, supplier chain, and accountability left me paying too much and waiting far too long.
