The Doctor was great and I was prepared to schedule the recommended procedure. I waited 4 months for the staff to get my insurance approval. After I called several weeks in a row I finally got a call back saying that my insurance wouldn't cover it. I requested my records so that I could appeal with my insurance. They never sent them. After many calls later they told me they would charge me $1 per page for my records. To get the insurance to pay THEM!! So disappointing. Now I won't go back even if it gets covered. UPDATE: The day after this review was posted the Doctor posted for me to contact him. He immediately made sure I could get ALL of my records, spoke to his staff, and called me back to make sure they took care of everything.

He always asks pertinent, personal information to make sure I'm doing what's right and if I'm not, he provides tools to keep me on track. It's a small office and his staff is just great. I am aware that they treat one another like family and maybe that rubs some the wrong way but DEFINETELY NOT ME. It's not fair to go by one patient's negative review. It's a shame his staff is so poorly mannered because he is an intelligent and caring practitioner…read more His staff is the ONLY reason I'm changing providers. Also it's unethical to overbook future appointments to where the patient is unable to receive their medication due to the office not having any appointments for the next 3-4 months. Is it ok for diabetic person to go without their insulin because they can't get their endocrinologist to refill their prescription due to overbooking and not being able to speak with the Dr? NO. IT'S NOT SAFE OR APPROPRIATE to make a patient go without their daily medication due to overbooked appointments, despite myself and pharmacist calling this office. The same regard should be taken for all of those that suffer from autoimmune diseases. That is a liability and borderline negligence. Terribly unprofessional and unhelpful staff on top of that matter would make anyone look into reporting this situation to the appropriate governing bodies. ***Edit: I would like to amend my original review with the fact that this office called me within 3 hours of submitting the original post/review. It's unfortunate that a negative review is what ilicits results. I would like to stress that Dr. Villa Franca is an EXCELLENT physician. However he's so good you can't get an appointment unless you don't mind waiting 3-4 months off from when you initially call. Not sure about you all, but I don't like to "sit" on health problems and don't like feeling sick. So waiting that long for an appointment with him is not ok with me. I will commend 1 person in particular from their office that took this matter very seriously and performed very professional conflict resolution via telephone. Thus, why I changed my review from 1 star to 3. All I can say is be an educated consumer and medically advocate for yourself.

This would make our third attempt in searching for our family doctor after our doctor passed away…read moredue to COVID. So far the search has not been very pleasant. But this place is got a good potentials, initially. The staff were extremely nice and friendly. We did not get to see the doctor in the initial visit. Instead we saw the PA who basically just took down our medical history for future references I guess. We were supposed to get our blood lab work done in the same visit. But somehow due to some unforeseen circumstances, we were denied at first. After pleading with the staff we were then allowed to get the blood work done. It's weird to me because we always get our blood work done. In the same annual physical visits. We never had to "request" for this service. Oh well, not all the offices were as nice as our previous doctor. Probably will still go back for our next annual check ups. But the next time I'll make sure I request to get the blood work done in the same visit!
