I bought an induction hob from Gotchs in Selby and had it fitted by them in October this year…read more within two months the hob made a loud banging noise, caused a fuse to go and broke. Whilst outside the 30 day right to refund and return stipulated under the 2015 Consumer Act this is well within the six month period in which it is the retailers responsibility, not the manufacturers, to either fix or replace the item. Gotchs failed to recognize this and told us we had to go to the manufacturer. This is very unhelpful and I'll-informed customer service. This really does need rectifying as Gotchs will lose customers.

Gotch's is an electrical store selling very much what you would expect in the likes of Curry's on Gowthorpe. Gotch's is a family run business that has built up a good reputation amongst the locals not only for its goods but also for it excellent sales and after sales service. The Interior is larger than you would think with a range of house hold appliances as well as ranges in TV's and music. In the past we have brought a freezer and a tumble dryer, and that's even after shopping around for prices. The prices are too similar to bother with the big companies and its nice to support a Selby business over the national stores.

Fairly extensive TV, cookers and fridge freezers sections. Open Monday to Sunday, enough parking but this is shared with another two stores. A lovely place to buy presents from (or treat yourself) as you always feel you have something a bit different to what everyone else has. A visit to its sister shop next door, is highly recommended too. This sells gifts, cards etc and is equally, if not more so, lovely.
