I'm an avid TK Maxx-er, and I'd rate this one as average - there is quite a good selection of stuff to root through if you're a bargain hunter like me but compared to other branches this isn't the best. If you're one of these people who dislike TK Maxx in general because you think it is like a jumble sale, then avoid this branch and take a trip down to Lincoln or over to Hull instead where the stores are spick and span and lovely and bright. This one is a bit below par on that score. Still fab stuff to be had though!

Additionally the shelves can get untidy very quickly and staff don't address the tidying up of shelves and racks too often. Plenty of fashions for the whole family and does seem to always have lots of children toys for all ages. Staff can be a bit disinterested at times. Store can look a bit grubby at times. Open seven days a week.

They do have ladies and men footwear but I don't use the shop for that, it's the childrens footwear that I go here for. They have a massive range of footweat for children - slippers, sandals, shoes, trainers, boots, wellingtons, etc and a lot of accessories. The footwear is very well made and comes in a massive range of sizes and is very fashionable - the 'lights' range is a particular favourite of my daughter and many other children. The shop always has several staff on who specialise in childrens fittings and they will professionally measure your childs feet and recommend accordingly. The service is second to none. The prices are not cheap but how much value do you put on protecting your childs feet? I go throughout the year and buy footwear for my daughter but I particular like it when they have a sale on because the reductions are fantastic which means I can buy even more!

They focus on more classical styles, but not to the extent that it's all old-fuddy-duddy styles. A lot of their clothing is pretty fashionable, but not to the extremes that you get in Top Shop and the likes, more like BHS or M&S. If you look at everything as a whole, the range of clothes isn't that great, but if you take an individual pair of trousers or jacket or something and assess it on it's own, you can usually do something with it. Prices are excellent, especially when there's a sale discount. Not quite Primark, but much less that M&S. They also have a reward points scheme which I joined but promptly lost the card for, so I don't know if it's any good or not! They do size 8-24, so larger ladies can benefit from most of their ranges, and the sizes are actually quite generous. Much cheaper than Evans, but just as good quality and most of the styles are more suitable for the fuller figure - no lycra boob tubes or hot pants! Great for work clothes, trousers, casual tops and the likes. I probably wouldn't go there if I was looking for a special outfit, but for day-to-day items it's worth a look.
