I had an appointment with Dr Futrell today. I have seen few doctors in my life already but never one of them seemed to not care as much as this one. I am not going to tell my all story, but I have been suffering these past few weeks of headaches and pain in my neck, with also dizziness and nausea. I have seen my regular doctor, then a chiropractor and an ENT. The latest advised me to see Dr Futrell who is a neurologist. The MRI on my brain came back normal, the ENT said my ears are fine. But based on my headaches, noise in my ear and other symptoms, next step was to see a neurologist. Today in is office, I felt almost like I was the least interesting patient of the day. I know I don't have a brain tumor and I might be boring for him, but he was very condescending, told me that I have migraines and I should take medicine for pretty much all my life. I told him I believed that there was something else, I never had migraines before in my life and nobody in my family had an history of headaches and migraines. I said that I would try the medicine for few weeks but I was going to dig further because I am sure that something else is going on. He said: good luck with that, I gave you the prescription for migraines, you take it if you want to, if you don't it is your decision. Even my chiropractor is trying to figure it out, also my family doctor, but this guy seemed to be very uninterested and had no compassion whatsoever. I know they are busy and they need to get as much patients in one day. But if you want to be in that field, you have to have compassion and be willing to help and try everything you can to help a patient. I really feel he is in for the money. read more
