Very good value - the food is freshly cooked and there Is a good selection of draughty beers and wine. Friendly atmosphere.

We didn't reserve in advance (which I now highly recommend). The wait was about an hour, but we passed the time at the nearby Churchill with a pre‑drink, and they texted us when our table was ready. The Sunday night jazz band was fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they work together as a team to take care of you. Amber was our primary server - she was great. Service for both drinks and food was quick, and the cozy Irish pub atmosphere made it even better. Definitely try to reserve ahead on the website if you can. If not, just plan to relax at one of the nearby pubs until your table is ready.

The live music added a really lively atmosphere and made the night feel special, but it did get a little loud at times, which made it hard to talk without leaning in. We made a reservation ahead of time, which was helpful, but next time I'd probably opt to sit outside instead for a more relaxed vibe!

She was professional, checked up on us multiple times, and gave us refills in a timely manner. The food was pretty good, and I would recommend. It's away from the crazy touristy part of town, so it's a little calmer. On this night, there was live entertainment. I was glad we sat further away because it would have interfered with conversation, but I appreciated the singing (just a little loud for me). I enjoyed my ravioli, and my friend was very happy with her baby back ribs. And if you're from USA, know that the iced tea comes sweetened.

The staff were clearly experienced, which makes sense given this place is in Niagara Falls -- a city that, in peak season, is overrun by tourists. I'm sure their hands are full during those times, so we were lucky to visit in the off-season. The fish and chips were exactly what we were looking for -- a lighter batter with meaty, flaky fish inside. And yes, without question, they bring both types of vinegar: white and, more importantly, malt -- a must with proper fish and chips. We enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back. Saluti!

After three wineries, my husband was definitely ready for some food. When you walk in, you definitely feel like you're entering an English pub! The bar, and place, ent of the bar was very traditional to pubs in the UK. Our server Lawerence definitely helped with his English accent! When asked where he was from, he said Bristol! He came to Canada after her sister relocated. He originally was a cook, but given his accent, they asked hi. To move to the front! Well done. He was a great server too! Very friendly! We decided to share the sausage rolls and shepherds pie. My husband had two Guinness! I'm not sure where he put it in top of the wine, but glad I was driving. The sausage rolls were very tasty. The mustard that came for dipping was the perfect accompaniment. The shepherd's pie had a dark Guinness gravy that was rich and flavorful. I enjoyed the side of peas and carrots too! Sharing these two was the perfect amount, however we wished we'd got the poutine! It looked amazing, it would've been too much food though. Guess we will need to return! PS: loved seeing the sign for Upper Canada Brewing company! In 1988, I visited them with my college partner as we did a college paper on microbrewers! At that time, they were one of a few. We also had visited Great Lakes brewing in CLE! The microbrewing industry exploded shortly there after! Was a great personal walk down memory lane for my college days!! While Upper Canada was sold, was just excellent to see an old sign!

The historic atmosphere is easily the biggest draw, and it adds a lot of character to the experience. As for the food, it's a pretty standard British pub. My wife and I enjoyed our meals, but nothing really blew us away. I had the Fish & Chips, which were decent, while my wife ordered the Fisherman's Pie and enjoyed it. The fish throughout her dish was cooked well, and overall the food was solid. The menu itself is exactly what you'd expect from a British pub; comforting classics and traditional fare, but nothing particularly unique or revolutionary. The beer selection was a highlight. There are some great options on tap, and we especially enjoyed the Angel Pilsner. We also liked that they offer beer flights, which is always a fun way to sample a few different brews. Unfortunately, the service was a bit underwhelming. Our server was friendly and pleasant, but a little slow when it came to clearing dishes and checking in on us. We likely would have ordered another round or two if there had been a bit more attention paid to the table. Overall, the history, atmosphere, and beer are the main reasons to visit. The food is good, the setting is unique, and it's worth experiencing at least once if you're exploring Niagara-on-the-Lake.
